Just tried installing this with TWRP on CM10 Nightly but it didnt work, said the install was successful but nothing actually changed, ended up having to manually transfer the pngs into the apks then install the apks back through TWRP.

It should work but AOKP's weather icons are in different size (they are smaller) so they will be a little bit cropped.

No offence, but this is the bad mod I ever flash from the previous 2 years. My phone stuck at 'logo.jpg' draw failed forever and yes, I also don't have the samsung boot logo. But that not the worse part, I can't even enter the recovery mode, it stuck at 'logo.jpg' draw failed' when i press the 3 button. Thank god I already backup all my data before flash this. I have to factory reset my phone using odin because there is no other ways for me to enter recovery mode. Btw, I actually flash the first version when you upload it.

Links updated it should work now....
Please note that the codings for the system apps and frameworks in different firmwares are not always the same...you should not flash something that is meant for XWKT7 on DDKQ8 or any other firmwares...
rohit310: You should ask people to test before claiming that it works......by the way, referring to your updater-script, you don't have to delete the original files before extracting them...AND if you really want to delete those files, you should add .apk or .jar according to the respective file extensions...no offence, just wanna help...

Next time when you face situations like this, provided you did a nandroid before this, just reboot into cwm and go to backup and restore->advanced restore->restore system...with that, you won't lose your user data...

Nope...I was using Adrenaline ROM...a similar mod is already included in that, plus the ROM is faster too...
I tried also Adrenaline ROM but it doesn't work in any combination...

Exact, just PNG changes in the mms.apk., should work without problems in odex Roms... MMS.apk are about the same from Telus or TMO, i used both of them on my recent Roms and didn't notice any changes between both version.
Try this one, just make a nand before, if there's any problems you can go back. if it doesn't work i'll modify a tmo one for you!

Same thing on my side... Google Chrome see my zip as a potentiel dangerous file. Don't know why, i have some other files avalaible here at XDA on my dropbox and they're downloadable without warnings.
Just click the arrow and keep the files...

I tried downloading with a different browser than Chrome, and as soon as it finished my AV flagged it as a virus, and instantly deleted it. OP can you shed some light?

don't know exactly why you have have this issue... i just redownload it, scan with Avast and file is clean... Already 11 downloads as stated by the host... What your AV ??? i just change PNG file in original SystemUi.apk. and make flashable zip with it!

The downloading works fine.
Yes you can, the way used to flash is the morphing, you can use it on the 4.0.x roms and + (ICS & JB)... in more, it's written in the first post.

Does your rom have TRDS feature (The Real Dark Slim, feature coming from Slim sources you can find on many others rom now,a switch in settings to get SysUi,Settings,Framework and maybe others apk inverted)?
Anyway the case of someone saying it doesn't work on his rom will surely occurs one day,those ROM's apk are made differently:
They have a drawable-inverted-hdpi folder and it's that one that is used when TRDS is on.

How to
Install like normal app. And change I9100 to I9300 in build.prop
- ro.product.model=
Reboot 1 time.
It's done
*If anyone can't use, try to change these.
- ro.product.name=
- ro.product.device=
- ro.build.product=
From I9100 to I9300 and reboot.
Next version I will make it easy to use it

Which rom are u using and can u please give a detailed explanation on how to install coz i have tried all the instructions i found but couldnt get to work im running a stock deodexed rooted rom
It's cool as a novelty Facebook app or even a lock screen, but it's too impractical to replace the home launcher.

It can use with all ROMs. But need root. make sure you reboot after change build.prop.

Can anybody tell me where to change ro.product.model=.
I chaged in /system/build.prop and it doesnt working after restart!
I have Motorola Razer XT910 with CyanogenMod 10.1 and my build number is XT910 not the I9100!

You may need to change ro.product.brand= to Samsung
A question...
Will this technique work with CM10.1 running on I9100?
I installed the app, changed the build.prop and all I was getting was a black screen when I restarted...

Hold the power button for 7 secs and then, it's reboot again. And it can boot. (i saw this problem before)

I got it to boot but facebook home still showing that it isn't available for this device. Tried clearing data, didn't work.
I'm using RootBrowser to change the build.prop

I just tried changing the build.prop on the Super Nexus ROM and the phone wouldn't reboot.
So for anyone out there that has this happen to them, just re-install the rom and your build.prop file should go back to normal.

to I9300 and reboot again.

I did try changing all 3 of them and then changed them back and everything...
Didn't work
Hmm I think you might change Rom to use it. lol

If I'm reading you right, you're not doing it right. The point of changing the build.prop file is not to trick the Play Store into allowing you to download it, it's to trick the FB Home app linked in the OP into thinking it's installed on the right phone.
Install the app linked in the OP, not via the Play Store.
