[MOD][Battery][8/7] - Percent Battery Mod - JRO03D BASE

Ok, someone requested this so I figured I would knock it out real quick for every to have.
Its basic percent battery mod by 1% increments with stock charging animation.
Thge image size is about 2px bigger than the stock ROM but if its gets any smaller you cant read it, lol.
This is for De-Odex ROMS. It can be flashed to Odex ROM but you must delete SystemUI.odex first.
THIS IS BASED on JRO03D and flashing on any other ROM is at your own risk!

I am on the stock ROM right now.. I have root explorer so I can delete the .odex file for sure but what does it do I don't want to just randomly delete something!

Your not randomly deleteing anything. Yo uare deleting SystemUI.odex.
Thats not random.
Close your eyes and press and hold and seelct delete... Thats random.
Oh and its for the second half of SysUI that is contained in my file.
You may not want to delete it, you may want to save it some where. You may need it later.

Yea buddy I neeeeed this So I would just rename the file instead of deleting which I assume would be fine. Any ill effects I may encounter by getting rid of SystemUI.odex? Would I also be able then to install other apps/widgets that are for deodexed only? Again, thanks for this small but very important mod

No, its just replaced the SystuemUI and that should not affect anything else.

i dont know if i just did something wrong or not. but i deleted the file you mentioned and my screen went black, wallpaper dissapeared so did my bars at the top and bottom with clock and my nav bar buttons. any idea what i did wrong ? i reflashed my backup so its fine now just curious though.

Whats EOS?

Just an FYI, I updated the op to inform those that this is for the lates release only and is not tested on prior releases as I think that is what the prior poster meant about EOS?

This was exactly what I was looking for since I got my Nexus 7 a couple of weeks ago.
I'm on Odex stock ROM, unlocked and rooted (with TWRP 2).
I basically just followed your instructions from the first post and everything went smooth and without any problems.
Quick question, though: in case I decide to install the next OTA update from Google (whenever that may be) is this going to make this mod obsolete?

The only difference between 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 contact dialer for me is the "Phone" tab" on the contact management part !?

hello Sir.. I not sure if I could do this. anyways, u must have deodexed phone.apk from a deodexed rom first b4 u could theme it like in the picture shown. not sure how to theme a odexed .apk..

No I'm still on odexed stock rom....actually i want to stay as close to stock rom as possible.. Actually I'm close to the editing of the xml's...so far i just added contact tab into the strings.xml and managed to add a png in drawables-hdpi, but i also need to add the code in drawable right??

Good stuff! Is it possible to do this the other way too, where contacts has a tab to open the dialer? In 4.0.4 both way is possible.

Thanks but it won't work on odexed roms(xwlp7 stock) and anyways I'll be probably waiting until Nov to get Stable JB on my phone which of course has dialer with contacts tab!!

According to me you have these possibilities, try this:
1) Before all backup your Rom and also contacts.apk! /I hope you have root/ Download dialer, which you want. If is for deodexed rom do this. move the .odex file from /system/app to your SD for backup. Then flash dialer.
second possibilities is:
download stock Sammy UHLPS ROM or maybe you can try also 4.0.4, extract it with 7-zip, take contacts.apk and replace your, then restart.
Try and give report.

I tried everything a long time ago but nothing seems to work i tried modifying the xml's but it won't work and system just keeps rebooting with different rom's 'contacts.apk'

still the same problem

Doh, I made a copy of my clockpackage (well, renamed it), flashed the zip, and the apk is corrupt (can't be passed). I tried copying manually, but it fails. Only happens on this apk file as can copy others in fine. Now I can't get my old one back either....
EDIT: Turns out my system rom was full (only 200k remaining). I removed a couple of frozen system apps and it appeared copied fine

Why did you decide that I will make the keyboard port? I do not see anything useful in the S3 keyboard to deal with it...

The keyboard is not working..
I've made a flashable zip myself to overite my latinIME.apk and flashed it, then I got the error of it not working,any suggestion??
I humbly ask if you could upload the libjni_latinime.so..
I think that will solve my problem.

Might look if blacked out apps has something similar.

Naah... why did you make a flashable zip it doesnt need to be flashed or put into the system.. it's type of a basic just install thing put it into ur sdcard and install it... do remember to backup any other AOSP keyboards before doing this!

New Calendar App Dark INverted with 4.1.2 compatibility as it's from 4.2.2

Hi, great mod especially for amoled screens, unfortunatelly I have problem installing it in i8190.
When I try to install it gives me this error message (calendar and music):
X Application not installed
Package with that name and different signature already installed.
I cannot uninstall the original apps since they are flashed in the rom. Any ideas?
Maybe flashable?
(benz rom by the way).

Backup or remove those apps from /system/apps
Put the new ones there instead and change permisions to rw-r-r- (644)
Reboot.

Just download the whole files by clicking on file ( far top left..underneath TWCalc-Dark.zip then download..
Its a zip file so I'm sure you have to flash it!

Just to let you or anyone else know, monish, the calculator is working perfectly. Great job as usual mate.

do u see app in app drawer ?
if u have root explorer please check in system/app folder and tell me if TWCalculator.apk is present
if not , it hasnt been installed , maybe cuz of insufficient space in system
am sure it will get flashed if there is enuf space

Works 99% perfect...only problem is that the size is not right. It doesn't fill the screen for some reason. It's aligned on the left side of the screen and top to bottom, but there is a 10% on the right side that's emptry/void. I tried reflashing it, nothing changed. I'm on 4.2.2 MF8, rooted, stock kernel.

It's aligned on the left side of the screen and top to bottom, but there is a 10% on the right side that's emptry/void. I tried reflashing it, nothing changed. I'm on 4.2.2 MF8, rooted, stock kernel.

Are you guys changing dpi from stock 240 ? Try disabling the navbar. As far as I know , sammy apps dont support multi-dpi.

DPI was the problem for me. I had forgotten about Samsung apps as I rarely use. Thanks

and then remove navbar

use root explorer or any other alternative
browse to system folder present in root
in there , is a file build.prop
edit it
go down until u see
ro.sf.lcd_density
give value as
ro.sf.lcd_density=240
save and close
restart phone
