[Q] How to remove ad push notifications? - Samsung Galaxy Gio GT-S5660

How to remove the ad push notifications (airpush, ...)? There is always a blue star in the notifications so I think it's from Airpush but airpush detector didn't work. I tried also airpush opt-out from airpush.com.

Are there any apps I can use to get push notifications with majority of apps, also is there an app to give me pop up notifications as well?

What kinda apps are you looking for?
i personally don't like pop ups.
however if you want an sms/mms that has pop up get handcent it has a great pop up with a reply box!
yep. for sms/mms popups, Handcent, or if you want to have popups with just the stock messaging app, Sms Popup works good. both are available in the market. there are apps in the market to give you Gmail and K9 mail popup notifications.
I know that handcent and all that is good for sms, I'm really looking more into apps like facebook and things of that sort

Apps not showing notifications... is there an app for that?

Many of the apps that I want notifications for on my watch don't send the notifications to the watch (they are only on the phone). For example I use "Calendar Snooze", but the alerts only appear on my phone.
Is this just because the "Calendar Snooze" app needs to be updated? Is there an app that will collect other non-wear compatible app's notifications and send them to the watch (something similar to "Rich Notifications" for the pebble)
You could try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.jonasbark.wearnotifications I did nit test it though.
I believe those apps have to be updated to support Android Wear.

Disable Samsung Calendar

Hi guys,
If you are annoyed with samsung calendar and can't disable it within the phone like on AT&T, you can use Debloater by Gatesjunior to disable sCloudSyncCalendar and SPlanner. Now when you respond to an invite in gmail (or anything else) it'll ask to set up a new default calendar. I selected Google Calendar that I got from the play store, so I can now have them go right to the google calendar (even though previously I couldn't change the default action from taking me to S Planner.)
Awesome app! I was able to hide a lot of junk that I don't use! I wish I could find a way to get rid of the S Finder/Quick Connect in the notification shade. Disabling those in the Debloater didn't get rid of the two options in the notification shade. Maybe because I'm not rooted.
Since the notification shade is "hard wired" with s finder text, this definitely wouldn't remove it. Nonetheless, it was a great method to remove a bunch of useless Att bloatware.
can someone tell me what i need to disable to get rid of the music app and the internet app?

If your device is rooted, you can used the app specified in the OP. Otherwise, try Package Disabler Pro (Samsung) by policedeveloper.

Email notification

If I use a third party email app, is there any way to get notifications? For example, the Asus Cover App has an email icon on the clock screen but I never see notifications there. I am guessing that is somehow tied to the default email app which I don't use. I'm using AquaMail and I have looked there for any kind of setting to achieve that but have not found anything.
Thought I'd bring this up to the top one more time. Does anyone know if this can be done?
I'm not using the built in email app. However, I would like notifications to show on the clock with the circle app. I'm using AquaMail, and it DOES give me notifications, but they do not show under the email icon in the circle app. Can this be done, or no?
