Official Jelly Bean/Android 4.1.1 Change Log

heres the jelly bean changelog that many have been asking for.. http://www.android.com/about/jelly-bean/
Android 4.1, Jelly Bean
Android 4.1, Jelly Bean, is the fastest and smoothest version of Android yet. Jelly Bean improves on the simplicity and beauty of Android 4.0, and introduces a new Google search experience on Android.
Everything in Jelly Bean feels fast, fluid, and smooth. Moving between home screens and switching between apps is effortless, like turning pages in a book.
Jelly Bean features improved performance throughout the system, including faster orientation changes, faster responses when switching between recent apps, and smoother and more consistent rendering across the system through vsync and triple buffering.
Jelly Bean has more reactive and uniform touch responses, and makes your device even more responsive by boosting your device's CPU instantly when you touch the screen, and turns it down when you don't need it to improve battery life.
What's new in Jelly Bean
Accessibility
With Jelly Bean, blind users can use 'Gesture Mode' to reliably navigate the UI using touch and swipe gestures in combination with speech output.
With the new accessibility focus feature, you can move a cursor between controls to maintain a target for the next action or a source for the next navigation event. You can double tap anywhere to launch the current item with accessibility focus.
Text traversal in accessibility now gives you more control – choose to move between pages, paragraphs, lines, words or characters.
TalkBack, a screenreader for Android, now supports gestures to trigger actions, to navigate applications, and traverse text.
Get full support for braille accessibility services (download BrailleBack on Google Play).
Android Beam
With Android Beam, you can now easily share your photos and videos.
Instantly pair your phone or tablet to Bluetooth® devices like headsets or speakers that support the Simple Secure Pairing standard by just tapping them together.
Audio Accessories
Support for USB audio docks, shipping later this year.
Browser and WebView
Browser has improved performance, CPU and memory efficiency. With better performance for animations and HTML5 canvases and an updated JavaScript Engine (V8), pages load faster and feel smoother.
Browser now has better HTML5 video support, and has a new user experience. Just touch the video to play and pause, and smoothly transition into and out of fullscreen mode.
Browser now supports the updated HTML5 Media Capture specification on input elements.
WebView now supports vertical text, including Ruby Text and other vertical text glyphs.
Calendar
Calendar is more buttery. Content fades in, animations are sprinkled throughout, and swiping/paging between days is smoother.
Calendar will now display event colors if you've given your event a color on your PC.
The 'Today' button on the action bar now shows the current day. When viewing an event's details, you can now email all the guests with a single tap.
Notifications for upcoming events now display more of the event description to let you quickly see relevant details without having to open the app.
Notifications for upcoming events now let you email all the guests without opening the app, and you can choose a quick response such as "Be there in 10 minutes" or type your own.
A new option in Calendar settings lets you create your own default quick responses for emailing guests.
You can now snooze an upcoming event reminder right from the notification.
Calendar has a new 7" tablet layout that is optimized for the form factor.
When viewing Calendar in portrait orientation on tablets, you can hide or expand controls to give you complete control over how you view your Calendar space.
Calendar will now remember whether you've chosen to hide or expand controls so you have a consistent experience viewing Calendar whenever you open it.
Camera and Gallery
You can now swipe from the camera viewfinder to quickly review photos you've taken without having to leave the camera app. You can swipe back to the camera viewfinder to start snapping photos again.
When viewing photos in Gallery, you can pinch to zoom out to enter "filmstrip mode" and rapidly review photos. When viewing photos in filmstrip mode, you can swipe up or down to delete an individual photo. You can also undo the delete with a single tap.
When taking a photo, a new animation sweeps your photo off the screen. There is now a new paging animation when swiping between photos
Camera features a new animation for switching between the front-facing and back cameras.
When focusing on an object in Camera, a new animation gives you visual feedback on your focus state.
Gallery features a new animation when selecting a photo from within the album view and back.
Data Usage
You can now dismiss a data usage warning without changing the data threshold set for warning notifications.
Disable background data usage on certain Wi-Fi SSIDs by designating them as mobile hotspots.
Android now automatically detects when one Jelly Bean device is tethered to another's WiFi hotspot, and intelligently enables or disables background data usage on the SSID.
Face Unlock
Face Unlock is now faster and more accurate, and startup is smoother with a new animation.
You can improve face matching accuracy by calibrating your face in different conditions and with different accessories (e.g. hat, glasses).
Face Unlock can now optionally require a 'blink' to verify that a live person is unlocking the device rather than a photo.
Internationalization
Jelly Bean adds support for bidirectional text and more input languages to make the platform accessible to more people around the world.
There is improved support for Arabic and Hebrew, including a new Arabic font, in the platform.
You can now enter text in one of 18 new input languages, including Persian, Hindi and Thai. Additional Indic languages Kannada, Telugu, and Malayalam are now supported by the platform.
Emoji from Unicode 6.0 will now render when received or viewed.
If the system language is set to Japanese, Japanese specific versions of glyphs will now be properly rendered.
Keyboard
The platform's dictionaries are now more accurate and more relevant.
The language model in Jelly Bean adapts over time, and the keyboard features bigram prediction and correction.
You can now switch languages quickly with the dedicated language selector key on keyboard.
You can use custom keyboard input styles for more than 20 languages, with keymaps for QWERTY, QWERTZ, AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak, and PC styles.
You can choose the input styles that you want to use for each keyboard, and use a hotkey to switch between them while typing.
Messaging and Talk
New notifications display the full text of incoming SMS messages. When receiving an MMS, you can view the full photo in a notification.
When entering recipients for an SMS or MMS, a new UI collects recipients as chips, making it easier to compose messages.
Talk features a new notification style.
Notifications
You can now take action on notifications directly from the redesigned notifications shade.
Notifications from the same application are grouped together, and the first item is automatically expanded. You can also pinch notifications to expand or collapse them.
You now get an image preview in notifications after taking a screenshot. You can quickly share the screenshot directly from the notification.
You can lock automatic display rotation from the notifications shade on 7" tablets.
For Wi-Fi only devices, quickly see the SSID of the access point you're connected to from the notifications shade.
You can now touch-hold a notification to identify the application that created it and turn off notifications from that application if needed, as well as uninstall the application.
Networking
Wi-Fi protected setup is now supported with WPS push button and PIN support.
A new setting lets you stay on mobile data and avoid nearby Wi-Fi networks with poor connections.
News and Weather
News and Weather is updated to improve freshness and power consumption.
People
The People app is more buttery with smoother animations and improved search performance.
The People app now retrieves high res photos automatically for Google contacts with public Google+ profiles and displays higher res photos (720x720) on certain devices.
High res photos set on Google accounts will be backed up and synced across devices.
The People app has a new 7" tablet layout that is optimized for the form factor.
You can now quickly add your favorite contacts to a home screen, directly from the contact's details page.
The People app helps you organize your contacts and reduces duplicates with an Improved auto-joining algorithm.
You can now clear the frequently contacted list from the favorites tab in the People app.
Phone
When you miss a call, a new notification lets you return the call or reply by SMS with a single touch.
Incoming visual voicemails are displayed in a new notification that lets you play the message with a single touch.
When a call is ongoing, a new notification lets you hang up the call with one touch.
As part of Project Butter, the dial pad is more responsive. Call log scrolling is buttery smooth, and swiping between tabs in Phone is quick and fluid.
You can now clear your frequently contacted list in the favorite tab of Phone.
You can now add phone numbers from the call log to existing, read-only contacts.
Settings
Accounts are now displayed in the primary Settings view so you can easily see all the accounts you're signed into on your device.
You can now easily access all Google Privacy Settings in one place by selecting your Google account from Settings.
System
Device encryption is now more reliable, and periodically reminds you to decrypt your device. Now, SMS messages and calls are declined when waiting for decryption.
You can long press the 'Power Off' option in the power menu to boot your device to safe mode.
A new 'Reset app preferences' button lets you quickly reset default applications for specific activities, background data restrictions, notifications suppressions, and more.
A redesigned dialog with larger icons lets you intuitively choose your preferred application for specific activities.
Google Apps Device Policy on your device may now override the 'keep screen awake' option from developer settings.
Text-to-speech
Jelly Bean introduces a new conversational text-to-speech voice in US English, available as both a network engine and an embedded engine via the TTS API.
Voice Typing
A new embedded speech recognizer lets you use Voice Typing even when you don't have an Internet connection.
Widgets
Jelly Bean makes it easier to personalize your home screen. As you place widgets on the screen, everything else automatically moves to make room.
When they're too big, widgets resize on their own. If you choose to resize a widget, apps and widgets will now also move out of the way.
You can now quickly remove apps or widgets from any home screen by picking them up and flinging them to the edge of the screen.
Launching apps and returning back home are now faster and smoother.
Google Search
With Jelly Bean, a redesigned experience uses the power of the Knowledge Graph to show you search results in a richer way. It's easier to quickly get precise answers to search queries and explore and browse search results.
Get to Google Search faster: Google Search can be opened directly from the lock screen by swiping up. For devices with software navigation keys, you can now swipe up from the system bar to quickly access Google Search with Google Now. For devices with a hardware search key, you can tap it to launch Google Search.
If you're using a wired headset, long press the headset's button to activate Voice Search. You can quickly perform a search query by voice and have the result read back to you.
You can say "Google" to activate Voice Search from within Google Search.
For many search queries performed through Voice Search, you can now hear a spoken answer.
Voice Search recognition is now significantly faster so you can search quickly on the fly.

[INFO] Fire OS App List / Debloat / Factory Images

PART 2 of 2 - SYSTEM OPTIMIZATION, TWEAKS, RECOVERY, FACTORY IMAGES, TIPS
Picture for stock lock screen:
./sdcard0/lock/user-photo/user_photo.jpg
./sdcard0/lock/user-photo/user_photo_thumbnail.jpg
Replaced the original JPGs with a black 1x1 px JPG.
Change / Replace Lock Screen:
I used "Next Lock Screen" (NLS) as a replacement, not my favorite but it's a suitable example.
After installation, make sure to give notification access to the new lock screen. In the NLS settings, choose 'compact' or 'hide' as status bar mode. Doing this will prevent problems showing the quick access panel from NLS.

Stock Ringtones, Alarms, Notifications, UI Sounds, Boot Animation:
./system/media/audio
I deleted most of the files in the subfolders, since I don't need / like them.
./system/media/fremedia
Contains 4 videos (01s.mp4, 02s.mp4, 03s.mp4, 04s.mp4). 20 MB of useless data = deleted.
They are used for the Fire "tutorial" that you can choose to watch when you first boot up a "factory fresh" phone.
./system/media
boot.wav & bootanimation.zip = default boot logo & audio, deleted, who cares.
Textures (for the atrocious "dynamic perspective"):
./system/euclid/vbls/home_icons/...
and folders like "home_icons-de", "home_icons-es", etc. depending on your OS version
The textures folder in the above mentioned folder(s) can be removed if you don't use "dynamic perspective".
Text to Speech:
./system/tts/ivona
One folder for each language, e. g. "deu.deu.marlene_1418201400000", "eng.usa.nina_1418201400000".
The two folders above have over 340 MB(!) of data. Folders can be deleted if you don't use TTS.
./system/tts/lang_pico
The bin files inside this folder can also be deleted if you don't need TTS.
Factory Data Reset Whitelist - "protects" the following folders & files:
/data/app
/data/dalvik-cache
/data/resource-cache
/data/app-res
/data/app-lib
/data/system/packages.list
/data/system/packages.xml
/data/media/0/Android/data/com.amazon.kindle/files/dictionaries
/data/securedStorageLocation/com.amazon.providers.contentsupport/tts/ivona
/data/system/uiderrors.txt
/data/system/dropbox
Just to show you which parts exactly get spared when FR is executed.
Delete Fonts:
./system/sqfs/container.sqfs
Stored in a compressed sqfs container (read only), because including 160 Fonts was a good idea. -.-
The fonts folder weighs over 180 MB, compressed into a container it's still 109 MB.
Replacing the XMLs ➜ clicked on settings ➜ FC, third party apps still work (e.g. root explorer) ➜
Replacing the container.sqfs ➜ clicked on settings ➜ everything ok ➜ restart phone ➜ everything ok ➜ power off phone ➜ boot up phone ➜ stuck in boot ➜ black screen ➜
Copied the fonts from the container to a temp directory ➜ deleted the container.sqfs file ➜ created a real folder namend "fonts" in ./system ➜ moved the fonts back into the real fonts folder ➜ survives restart & complete power off
I deleted the CN and JP fonts, font configuration list:

Amazon DCP Menu / OTA Dashboard:
I will just link the post from rbeavers since it explains it perfectly.
Final Steps:
Used SD Maid Pro to clean up unused Libs, obsolete & orphaned files (e. g. Epson & Canon Printer Libs, etc.) won another ~ 50 MB of system space.
I made an exception for:
./data/data/vitals.db
./data/data/vitals.db-wal
You can delete them when SD Maid offers to, but they will be generated again by the system.
Using Greenify depends on the selection of your apps, some people will profit more from using it than others.
Stock Apps (pre-installed) / Updated Apps:
3 archives. One with all system apps, the other with all priv-apps and the third with all updated apps as of 2015-06-21.
Download - System Apps Archive
Download - Priv-Apps Archive
Download - Updated Apps
Recovery / Sideload Factory Images:
If your OS is messed up "beyond repair", try re-installing it.
All images are multi language (English, Spanish, French, Italian, German, regarding the UI & keyboard, some TTS languages need to be downloaded if the user wants to have proper support), so you could use the US version for an EU user / phone.
You might run into problems using certain WiFi channels (e. g. CH 13) because of the WiFi country codes. Advanced users know how to handle / fix that, ofc. The US image is the so called "GSM unlocked" version, suitable for most users.
1.a Download the *.bin file (FireOS 4.6.1):
——————————————————
US - Amazon Server DDL
US - Mega.nz Mirror
——————————————————
UK - Amazon Server DDL
UK - Mega.nz Mirror
——————————————————
GER - Amazon Server DDL
GER - Mega.nz Mirror
1.b or download the *.bin file (FireOS 4.6.3):
——————————————————
US - Amazon Server DDL
——————————————————
UK - Amazon Server DDL
——————————————————
GER - Amazon Server DDL
2. Connect device to PC & boot in recovery: PWR + VOL. UP (hold both buttons until recovery screen appears)
From the list, choose "Apply update from ADB"
3. adb sideload 'name_of_your_bin_file'
I recommend renaming the the downloaded file to "update.bin" so you can just type in cmd: adb sideload update.bin
4. If you have trouble getting your device recognised after entering recovery / ADB sideloading mode:
If you boot up your phone in recovery mode / ADB mode, you will need additional ADB device drivers for your Windows system.
The regular (Amazon / Kindle) USB driver that is used when you connect your phone to the PC won't work, it's simply not the same method.
That's why your phone "disappears" as soon as you (re)boot into recovery / ADB sideload mode.
Open your "device manager" (assuming, you're using Windows as your main OS) and check for your device with missing drivers.
Try this tool (& driver) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979
You can even use (old) "Google USB drivers", I successfully tested google drivers from 2010 on Win 7 x64 with this phone in ADB mode.
If everything worked as planned, it should look like this: next to your device name, it will say "sideload"
PART 1 of 2 - APP LIST
This thread was created before ggow introduced Safestrap and custom ROMs to the Fire Phone.
No pre-installed app stores / markets. Only 'Phone', 'Messaging', 'Camera', 'Contacts', 'Settings' remain untouched.
The following list represents a highly modified configuration of the OS to my liking.
Please DON'T APPLY THESE SETTINGS BLINDLY to your device.
Tested OS versions: [ROOTED] US "GSM unlocked" 4.6.1 (461013820) & 4.6.3 (463001620)
If an Android L based version gets released, it will be a discussed in a separate thread.

Great list! Here are a few questions:
How's the general performance of your device now?
My Fire phone has approximately 35-45% available ram at boot up (thanks Whatsapp, Telegram, Skype, Facebook, etc.), how about yours now?
Do you play games? Have you noticed any improvement in frame-rate/responsiveness?
Has your Battery life improved? My phone lasts about 8-12 hours on very light use (mostly instant messaging over wi-fi).
So, you disabled the Download UI... Do you still get notifications for downloads?
Totally unrelated, but I'm curious... do you think it'd be possible to modify status bar icons and the boot animation?
@ namelessxsoul
Performance is gooood. Quick responses, fluid navigation. But it should be like that, this is basically a "Galaxy S5 lite" running with a (almost) bare minimum of apps.
RAM used: 400 - 450 MB / RAM free: 1,2 GB. (Then again, I only use whatsapp. Skype is ridiculous on any platform, as we all know.)
I played "Monument Valley" & "Real Racing 3" some time ago while testing. I assume games will perform almost the same, although having less background processes & more free RAM never hurts.
2 days with "medium" usage: browsing (watching videos in browser as well), music, messaging... I can go 4 days+ if I use it strictly for communication. I used the "battery calibration" app, hold on let me finish... This app is no snake oil garbage, no "battery booster", etc. It simply lets the system generate a new batterystats file, so that the full capacity is the actual capacity. This is only useful after flashing / reinstalling OS, or if you tampered a lot with the device, hehe.
I still get a notification bar popping in from the top whenever a download is started and finished. Since I don't need the Download UI only the Download Manager, it's perfect. I manage my downloads with the browser or through repo(s).
Hm, boot animation. I checked the original file: 5 folders and the "desc.txt". If someone wants to try his luck... (I don't care at all). Btw. bootanimation is 19 MB - Amazon splurge mode activated. -.-
Status bar icons? Let's consult ze infamous hydromän. I haven't tested it myself (again, don't care... ^^)
hydromän said:
...but for status bar icons you need xStana.
Click to collapse
Woah, that is a huuuuuuge improvement overall. I am definitely going to try this out in my own way. Thank you!
Don't like the lack of window previews on recents. Is there away to get Amazon's quick switch assigned as an app to use as a shortcut or gesture?
@ ratbags You mean the "recents" on the screenshot? That is due to the launcher used at that time, so it won't affect you ^^. (Although QuickSwitch is always active as well.)
Unfortunately, QuickSwitch can only be called by the home button. QS is part of the SystemUI, I found some files in the 'euclid' folder but it takes more than that to create a stand alone app.
You could get involved here, super posh switcher, in app purchases, wall street journal approved, knock yourself out.
I use gestures for several things including bringing up recents with a slide from the side of the screen. Good for multi tasking. Regardless of launcher on the fire phone, recents appear as in your shot. No preview, only icon on window. Anyways, thanks for the other info regarding quick switch.
I am a clean freak and love to delete everything but some of the things you have mentioned deleting will cause issues with apps showing in the drawer. After deleting DeviceBackupAndRestoreInternalSDK-release.apk you will get access to 3 apps only: Texting, Contacts and Phone. Everything else, although still installed on the phone, will disappear. The regular app switcher will stop working also.
Оne question. If I use a custom keyboard, calendar, when I install it I should rename it to the original programs name? (com.nuance.swype.input.apk)
@ mazay2 No need to rename, just install it. Multiple keyboards are supported by FireOS, select your new keyboard as standard after installation and you're done. You can deactivate your old calendar when you found a good replacement.
After resetting my phone, I deleted the problematic app and see if it would repeat the issue. It did again for me but I had another launcher installed and the defaults cleared. I pressed home and all apps are visible in home replacement app. So it is only an issue if you plan to keep the stock Fire home app.
Also Stock music app will not open after deleting everything so be ready to find a new music app if it is important to you.
Back to stock again, The settings app does not open which is a big issue for me.
Will try to pinpoint problem at later time.
tried disabling most of the apps on the list. still have several disabled and would like to disable some more, but don't feel comfortable not knowing whats what. After I had disabled most of the apps in the list my phone deregistered itself, had to re enable apps to re register my phone. don;t know which apps caused the problem, but a non registered phone does not seem to launch all built in apps.
I think with a little more refinement of the list (something we all can add to) then this list would be an appropriate post to make sticky. perhaps an edit with a dependencies list as more feedback comes in. I realize thats a lot more work on top of what you have already done, but i worry about disabling apps I use (or at least have not found an adequate replacement for yet).
for example
*if you do not use the kindle app or audible it seems logical that the bookstore, whispersync, whisperlink etc. are dependant
* conversely, if you take out the fire launcher you will find the amazon quick switch will lose some of the default quick switch buttons. other apps have links to their quick switch as well but im uncertain which
sorry, don't mean to sound all naggy. I did a lot a testing last night and didn't make notes. your work to compile this list obviously took a lot a time and I am really glad to see some mentions of apps I wanted to take out but wasn't sure if i could.
Thanks for all the info. Is there a simple way to get rid of the Amazon lock screen by removing or disabling something?
@ ratbags You can freeze / remove just the "LockScreen.apk" and leave "LockScreenPreviewer.apk", "LockScreenSettings.apk" & "LockScreenSettingsPreviewer.apk" untouched (so it's easier / faster to undo it later).
Remember that the phone can also be woken up with the home button. Don't "activate" your phone by accident because of a missing lock screen.
I guess you might guess my next question: is there any way to disable wake with home feature?
@ ratbags I assume this option is buried "deep" somewhere and sadly won't be editable with an XML file that just happens to lay around in the system partition.
Oh, and about the "lack of window previews on recents", it needs an option enabled, something like onCreatethumbnail, so that's android API related, I guess you won't see nice little thumbnails any time soon. Maybe beg a Dev. to include this into an Xposed module.
I froze lock screen but things got a little flaky and the start button starting acting strangely so I've enabled it again. You wouldn't think that disabling the lock screen would have a knock on effect but it does.
@ ratbags
The inconsistency of this OS is driving me nuts. I had no trouble with lock screen (+ LSpreviewer & LSsettings) removed on my heavily modified system, now I'm running almost vanilla and it's a lottery. ^^
Look at the picture on the left, the first 3 entries of the menu are "behind" the header and the search field. Next try, all fine. Btw: My app drawer got messed up too but only after the first time, then it was perfectly fine.
Good thing I wrote "Only delete this if you installed an alternate lock screen" in the app list. Replacing is the way to go, or a "null lock screen". A lock screen that does nothing, just like the "null launcher" and "null live wallpaper". Maybe that would make this drama queen OS calm down.
Just to be clear: I encountered said problems when only the LockScreen.apk was removed, never had problems with custom launcher itself. 7 / 10 attempts without lock screen were successful, the others looked pretty much like the one on the pictures.
Some weird stuff this fire os. I'm trying to use it as it is to avoid the inconsistencies of an alt launcher but it's tough. Compared to my nexus that is.

AccuBattery
? Designed to keep your battery in the best shape you can – AndroidHeadlines
AccuBattery protects battery health, displays battery usage information, and measures battery capacity (mAh) based on science.
❤ BATTERY HEALTH
Batteries have a limited lifespan. Every time you charge your device, it wears out the battery, lowering its total capacity. Scientific research shows that battery lifespan can be extended up to 200%, when you charge your device to only 80%.
- Use our charge alarm to prolong your battery lifespan.
- Discover how much battery wear was endured during your charge session.
? BATTERY USE
AccuBattery measures the actual battery usage using information from the battery charge controller. Battery usage per app is determined by combining these measurements with information on which app is in the foreground. Android calculates battery usage using pre-baked profiles that device manufacturers provide, like how much power the CPU uses. In practice however, these numbers tend to be highly inaccurate.
- Monitor how much battery your device is using
- Know how long you can use your device when it’s active or in standby mode
- Find out how much power each app uses.
- Check how often your device gets woken up from deep sleep.
? CHARGE SPEED
Use AccuBattery to find the fastest charger and USB cable for your device. Measure the charging current (in mA) to find out!
- Check how fast your device is charging when the screen is on or off.
- Know how long it takes to charge your phone and when it’s finished.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Measure real battery capacity (in mAh).
- Use the charge alarm to prolong battery lifespan.
- See how much wear your battery sustains with each charge session.
- Look up the discharge speed and battery consumption per app.
- Remaining charge time - know how long it takes before your battery is charged.
- Remaining use time - know when you will run out of battery.
- Screen on or screen off estimations.
- Check the percentage of deep sleep, when the device is in standby mode.
- Ongoing notification for real time battery statistics at a glance.
? PRO FEATURES
- Real-time CPU and power usage overlay for spotting battery draining processes.
- Use Dark and AMOLED black themes to save energy.
- Access to historical sessions older than 1 day.
- Detailed battery statistics in notification.

• WORKS WITH GMAIL - Inbox is built by the Gmail team, so all your messages from Gmail are here, along with the reliability and spam protection of Gmail. All of your messages are still in Gmail and always will be.

Suggestions for improving software for Huawei Watch GT 2

Suggestions for improving software for Huawei Watch GT 2
1 : Sync all the contacts on the phone , not just 10 contacts
2 : If the phone is in silent mode, the watch should be in silent mode also
3 : Add an application to record audio clips through the built-in microphone with the watch
4 : When the Bluetooth connection with the watch is lost , there will be alert for that by vibration and msg , and there should also be an alert when the Bluetooth connection returns again
5 : Show full notification text not part of it
thanks
Re: Suggestions for improving software for Huawei Watch GT 2
I think you're ideas are great so I've put my thoughts on each one. Hopefully more people will comment!
1 : Sync all the contacts on the phone , not just 10 contacts
Great idea but remember smart watches don't have huge storage. We have 2.1gb free I believe on initial startup.
2 : If the phone is in silent mode, the watch should be in silent mode also
Absolutely agree...
3 : Add an application to record audio clips through the built-in microphone with the watch
Again need to think of memory restraints, but a low bit rate 'voice notes' facility would be cool.
4 : When the Bluetooth connection with the watch is lost , there will be alert for that by vibration and msg , and there should also be an alert when the Bluetooth connection returns again
Agreed. Goodness knows why there isn't already!
5 : Show full notification text not part of it
Agreed. Plus the ability to reply maybe? I loved this in my Huawei Watch 1.
6. I'd also add... Bring NFC to GT2's outside China! I'm guessing it's the same hardware, just disabled in the OS!
7. Add SPO2 (oxygen saturation of the blood) - as this is mentioned as an option in at least one how to for the watch... Is it China only again?
Let's hope Huawei monitors this forum and gets some ideas to improve Lite OS further.

Im really missing the "next calendar appointment" feature on this watch. I had the vector, that had a "calendar app" and an upcoming event widget on the watchface of the Vector Luna. Just bought a GT2 and didn't realise that I actually will start to miss the calendar appointment info so much heads up Huawei!
Otherwise its a suitable upgrade for me from Luna (with broken screen)
Agree with your proposals,
from my side it would also be great if we could have an airplane mode
- Ability to set custom watch faces with standard app
- Ability to access details on screens accessed with left/right slides
- Ability to have lamp torch light progressive to avoid dazzling
- Ability to have more video controls with chromecast/netflix

Great ideas.
Hopefully the custom faces will be with us very soon once the Chinese beta closes. [emoji1696]

And also :
- show full sender on notifications
- show smileys (and photos?) in notifications
- avoid duplicates in notifications (in whatsapp for instance)
- ability to delete notification from summary without going to details
- navigate directly through notifications details without returning to summaries
- use more space for titles in sound/video control
- ability to customize main menu entries, and set others in a folder
adding an interval timer (high interval, low interval, warm up, cool down, number of reps or infinite reps)
1. CUSTOM WATCH FACES!!!!
2. In addition to silent as already mentioned, sync Do Not Disturb settings from phone to watch
3. Ability to set function to buttons double-click (Eg. I set down button to flashlight, but this isn't of much use during the day)
4. Ability to define your own timeout for the watchface to turn off after.
5. "Shake wrist to wake screen" as well as "Raise wrist" option...If both are set, then need to do both
Why here and not on some Huawei support forum?
If someone knows an email or any contact channel for Huawei Technical Support
please send these suggestions.
Agree totally to “gaminox”
- show full sender on notifications
- show smileys (and photos?) in notifications
- avoid duplicates in notifications (in whatsapp for instance)
- ability to delete notification from summary without going to details
- navigate directly through notifications details without returning to summaries
- mark as read in notifications
Training Mode:
- Possibilty to leave the Training Mode in the background to home screen
- Possibility to switch Playlist in trainingmode
Music Player:
- Not only the possibility to choose playlists but as well artists or albums
Display:
- Wake up from standby-watchface through gesture

Because you get automated or pre written answers and Huawei never does anything about solving big issues. Mine is that there is no way of shutting off Bluetooth.
Show maps and load/follow tracks in the whatch with the map in the screen.
Add more map layers in the huawei health app.
