mtty - Can Open USB PORT

I need to know this line:
g_cKeyCardSecurityLevel = FF
Just to know if my CID is really unlocked before flashing a cooked ROM.
I followed the instructions of how to use the mtty, but it don't open the usb door. do you know another way to find my CID if is unlocked or locked.
i tried the putty, not working too. just don't want to brick my phone with flashing a cooked rom if the cid is looked.
I used device.info to see my device:
Touch version : Elf
Device ID : ELF010000
CID : HTC__506
IPL : 2.27.0002
SPL : 2.28.0000
I know that the IPL and the SPL changed to the new version i flashed. Does this means that my CID is unlocked?!

If you're running Vista, it won't work. Install VMware, create virtual machine with Windows XP, install ActiveSync, connect your PPC to virtual USB port, then run mtty on XP and go on

i'm running on Windows XP. do i still need to use that VMware?

Do you know that you have to disable USB in ActiveSync? In Settings, uncheck second checkbox.

yes, i disabled the ActiveSync in the settings. No connection active there.
I follow all the steps in the mtty process.

Is the CID unlocked?
I just need to know if the CID is unlocked so i can install a cooked ROM. I've been reading every instructions for 2 days now. I now step by step of the process. But can't fix this problem.

i solved the problem. i needed to be in the tricolors RUU boot-loader. sorry for all the questions.

Thanks, now i'm stopped because i dont know if i have a G3 or G4 and dont know how to interpret the fact that Wizard utility dont show a lot of informations... maybe a problem....

Thanks but the real question is why wizard utility dont show a lot of information: if there is something "strange" or locked on my device, i can get unpredictable results going ahead with reflashing procedure... i think.

I have the same problem with my Universal.
I flashed it with Tomal's 8.2 without trying Wizard service tool, 'cause Uni arrived me with wm6.0, so I thought it was unlocked.
Now I'm going to flash a friend of mine original G3, and looking for how to unlock it, I found some apps that I tried on mine.
The message I receive on Wizard Service Tools is similar to yours, also when I check CID it says that the cheksum is incorrect:

O2 XDA diamond WM 6.1 GERMAN ROM to English ROM Error 244 Invalid device id

HI Guys,
I brought a o2 XDA diamond recently, and surprised to see only German Language support on WM 6.1 Os that it has originally flashed.
It seems that HTC supprt also cant help neither the o2 customer care to change the language to English.
As i dont know German, i am finding it very difficult to use.
I desperately want to change to English user interface. However iam afraid of breaking my device completely.
My device is having following specs
OS: WM 6.1 proffesional
CE OS 5.2.19965(Build 19965.1.2.3)
ROM version : 1.93.207.2 GER
ROM Date:8/12/08
Radio: 1.00.25.05
protocol: 52.29.25.12H
Model nr: xda_diamond
PlatformocketPC
I saw many threads on ROM development and followed following procedure.
1. upgraded to Hald SPL by following instruction from http://www.modmydiamond.info/, now my bootloader shows.
Red
diam300 mfg 64M
SPL-1.40.oliNex
MicroP-diam (LED) v11
Green
PSOC -diam STAGE_PVT v0x32
After this step when i tried to update the ROM by using the RUU from,
RUU_Diamond_HTC_Europe_1.93.401.2_Radio_Signed_Dia mond_52.29.25.12_1.00.25.05_Ship.exe
and
RUU_Diamond_HTC_WWE-ME_1.93.456.2_Radio_Signed_Diamond_52.29.25.12_1.0 0.25.05_Ship.exe
I get following error:
244 : Invalid device ID
And i am unable to update any ROM.
Could anyone from this expert forum please help me? I have following basic questions.
1.Whats wrong with my update process?
2. Which RUU to use to switch to english version?
3. How to get rid of eror 244 Invalid device id?
Request you to please help me out!

It's actually not a Utility but an instruction:
Yes, follow it. Go all the way to step 8 for Roms. Ignore step 8 if you are flashing a Radio.

I don't have much experience with changing languages but the RUU_ is not responsible for this....it's the actually ROM that determines what language you are after.

Not sure who quoted you all this but CID = Country ID. Don't recall the chunk size significance of the top of my head. Lastly DIAM 100, DAIM300 is just your Devices versions / affiliations from where the device is from.

By RUU i means ROM, yes its the ROM inside the RUU package.
But which ROM should i use EUROPE or WWE-ME. Is Europe ROM in English?

HTC P3452 beta test period of this software release

Hi all
My brother bring me from China as a gift the htc touch (P3452).
First of all I don't know if it is genuine or clone; how I can find out;
Second when I setup the time and the date the phone show me a white screen with this message.
"This concludes the beta test period of this software release.Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make this a great product for our customers.
To obtain a newer release or further information, please revisit the web site that you use to obtain your current beta release."
The phone now is off. I cant do anything with phone. I always get this message. How I can pass it.
