Bug problem for S-OFF the WFS - HTC Wildfire S

Hey everyone,
I'm trying to unlock a WFS. But with HTCBootloaderUnlock problem (ERROR [191] ROM IS NOT SUPPORTED), try to downgrade the phone to 2.3.3 with the hboot 1.03 (WFS don't found), try a goldcard ( with a file zip to the bootloader, return error "main version is older") So WHAT I HAVE TO DO, for S-OFF my WFS ?
Thanks all

Why do you want to s-off it?
Sent from my Wildfire S A510e using xda premium

I want to S-OFF it for install Recovery an Custom ROM (I from of Sony Ericsson so I don't know if i have to S-off or unlock bootloader... but I want to install custom rom)

You can only get S-Off by using an XT-Clip. Luckily, you don't need S-Off to install custom ROMs. You will need to unlock your bootloader. This can be done at http://htcdev.com/bootloader/

I've tried this method but I've got this: ERROR [191] ROM IS NOT SUPPORTED

Have a look at this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21231962&postcount=2 it may help.

Tested too but I have this error:main version is older

Try simonsimons BootLoader unlock tool from the developer forum.

Just try unlocking the bootloader from htcdev.com, don't download any ruu you're on the latest version. Maybe that will solve your problem.
You should then see
****UNLOCKED****
on top of your hboot.
Then try flashing cwm.

if the bootloader is unlocked, check that the CWM recovery u r flashing is speciafically for the wildfire s GSM/CDMA[whichever model u r using]..
might be that u r using an incorrect version of CWM.

I have s-off but no root!

right guys, i managed to install a custom from through recovery which was the bliss 4.0 rom but it ended up being a bit laggy so i went into hboot mode and installed the 2.2 (1.34) again from the sd card pc10.zip (automatic update) and now it seems that i cannot do anything through rom manager now. I have downloaded an app to check if my device is rooted or not and it says "not rooted".
i am new to this and have followed a few guides to get to where i am and cannot seem to root my device at all. my statistics are:
vision pvt ship s-off
hboot-0.85.0005
microp--425
radio-26.03.02.18.m3
eMMc-boot
oct 11 2010.20:10:38
fastboot
recovery
factory reset
simlock
image rc.
what do i do to get permanent root??
thankyou very much.
Search googl for
"Cyanogen wiki htc g2 root"
Or
"Xda htc vision root"
You will have to relock your bootloader before following either guide

fastboot oem lock
I presume you use the "offical htc unlocked bootloader" to obtain s-off. You dont have true soff as you still have a shipped spl, you will need to relock your bootloader, downgrade then follow the rooting process from the cyanogen or xda wiki

[Q] Help! HTC Buzz: Wildfire -Revoulutionary- HBoot 6.01.1002

Hi,
I am a new to XDA Developers and I only registered because I have a problem with my HTC Wildfire (Buzz). I need to downgrade my hBoot so I can unlock the bootloader. I didn't know about the bootloader having to be unlocked so I used Revolutionary. I had hboot 1.01.1001 at the time and it was a successfull root. I tried to boot to Clockworkmod Recovery to install Cyanogenmod 7.2.0 when a HTC phone picture came up with a red triangle with a '!' inside it. The specs of the phone are as follows:
Android OS: 2.1 (Eclair) (I downgraded from 2.2.1 recently)
hBoot:
-Revolutionary-
BUZZ PVT SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.01.1002
MICROP-0622
TOUCH PANEL QTMEL03_16ac

Please help! I really want to be on Cyanogenmod rom asap because stock is slow. I need to downgrade Hboot to 1.01.1001 (I don't know how) so I can unlock bootloader using HTCDev.
Thanks,

Why do you need to use HTCDev?? By doing that you void any chance of your warranty.
You need to flash a recovery.
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Assuming recovery is named recovery.img and it is placed in your fastboot folder.

I tried using ROM manager but as I said the picture comes up. What fastboot folder and recovery.img?

You need a fastboot folder and need to install the HBOOT drivers. See the first few steps of my rooting guide.

I got it now. I had to use the fastboot flash command with an older recovery image. I am now using Cyanogenmod 7.2.0. Thanks guys

S-On doesn't allow you to flash another recovery, to get permanent root and flash custom roms.
Unlocked bootloader (still S-On) allows you to di precedent things.
I don't know what S-Off does that is different from unlocked bootloader.
Unlocked bootloader is enough for most of us. I may have said something wrong, but that's how I understood this.

It also allows you total control of the hardware. Ie you can change the size of your mtd partitions so you have more space for apps. Which is very useful if your rom takes up very little space on the system partition. You can allocate that space back to data. Also should you some how kill the software, being s-off means that you can run any ruu without the phone telling you no. Upgrade and downgrade. You can also perform super cid (11111111) which allows you to flash roms from any network/country. Also if you manage to get hardware s-off via a software solution ( a radio s-off and not a hboot s-off) you can run the pj76diag.nbh from the lovely guys at the xtc clip and it will sim unlock the device to any network as well. But if you use the xtc clip its self it will automatically s-off, sim unlock and do supercid
Manny Thanks for the info!
