[Q] 2.3 Source Code

Here's to hoping that I dont get ripped on for posting LOL
I read about things that can and cant be done to the 2.3 ROMS because of there not being a source code. I dont know anything about that and I dont pretend to so I'm just wondering if what I'm reading here is what's needed to develop these further, such as kernels, etc??? http://source.android.com/
It says the 2.3 Source code is released but I have no clue what so ever if it's what's used or not.

Think of what's released by Google as an OS with no included drivers, but incompatible with all older drivers.
We need the source code for Samsung's build.

There's a diference between asking a question with an actual purpose, with an intent to learn, and with sources of your own finding...
And spamming the dev section with warrantless crap questions because you are too lazy to read through a simple instruction set..
He didn't get blasted, because his is the former... I wish you people would stop with this "we all need to get along together, don't feed teh trollz" non-sense and actually pay attention to the merit of posts here.

PS: the fonts look different due to me using MIUI as my rom on the phone and if anyone wants a keyboard to look like another device let me know i will see what i can do for you

have tested working on 2.2,2.3
it installs on ics but force closes some times(i tested it on early coldfusion builds so this might have been fixed by now)

u tried mine i had used it on ics months back i think i made it a system app but not sure try it once

a small fix has been applied removed some parts that were there to make it work properly on my nexus one. The keyboard should be working now

yea, it works, a bit buggy, and some apps not fully resized yet.
Its just gonna take a while to merge and upload them as one package.

Who's going to start making ICS themes for these?

WP7/8 is a phone system of Microsoft.
it's famous for it's neatness and Metro UI.
Can anyone port this for Gio?

where is rom to port? The only thing you can do is new graphics and wp launcher and maybe some mods like settings layout etc
I saw some rom for gio looks like wp just search.

flash miui with extended settings and install launcher 7

Ace had onne, but its discontinued .
You can still port it, use the porting guides

Better not flash that one, the dev is a bit of a fail, only posted not working roms.

I hope theres developer can port that ROM from ace to gio..
if Microsoft Windows phone 7/8 ROM cant be port to android.
