I got a question on this..
From what I gather, radios are updated from sprint?
And not from HTC?
Thus if you are using this phone outside of the states updating the radios is not going to do you a lot of good?
Am i thinking right on this or off track?
In my case i am using this phone in china on china telcom cdma network.

This depends entirely on T-Mobile's service in your area, not the SIM card.

What he said.
It's pretty much the same as your existing T-Mobile phone, if not.. better.
what he said, but.....
it also depends on which radio you have installed. Samsung has a handful of different5 radios depending o where the phone was originally marketed for. All are basic GSM 5-band capable but each one has minor tweaks for specific networks. There are several threads on here debating which radio works best. Do a search if you are interested. For mine, the XXKK6 radio it arrived with (ordered from the UK) gets comparable reception to any other phone I have used on T-Mobile. You can see the radio version under settings .. about phone .. baseband version. Changing radios is easily done if rooted and you have basic mod skills.
My service wasn't the best at first but after I flashed UGKL1 radio my data speeds on HSPA+ went from 2mbs down up to 10mbs consistently.

Do you guys think that the Nexus 4 will come available to sprint or metro pcs?
I understand that the different frequencies of the carriers may be different but I wasn't sure if that was even a correct idea.
Thoughts?

No, MPCS won't bother putting out a Smartphone of that caliber for the price they would sell it for without supporting LTE. Sprint probably won't either unless they end up releasing an LTE version in the future.

Google didn't want to deal with CDMA networks to begin with, sprint and Verizon proofed they aren't ready to handle a nexus phone! In a few years, once sprint or Verizon change there ways, Google might consider making another CDMA nexus.

No and I think this thread will get locked.
No Lte support no go for most carriers, hspa is fast but sprint don't support it.

Hey all
Just wondering if this is possible... Anyone know?
Thanks!

I know that some ROMs can be flashed no problem cause I've used a few myself but the radios I think not cause its a different network setup using different frequencies. It will most likely brick your phone

I've tried various radios from US carriers that I read good reviews about over and over again, however whenever I use anything other than the Telus or Koodoo radios, I have major connectivity issues. I recover the original APN's from before that work but these other radios just don't seem compatible.
Are there any Canadian users that have success with the newer US radios? Also fwiw, I'm western Canada.
Cheers
I'm happy with my tlle4. Been using it awhile....no desire to use another. But.....I have used a couple older T-Mobile modems before....and they were OK....just not as good of a signal and I'm in the boonies....need all the bars I can get.
Sorry but I can't recall the ones I used. No harm in trying them and seeing what works for you. Me tho....sticking with tlle4.
