Pls help with reverting to stock - HTC One X

I updated my bootloader to the version of 1.28 so now my stock 1.26 ruu won't run. Hence I extracted rom.zip from the ruu. Now what should I do? Thanks!
Note: I do not intend to go back to a custom rom. So I need it to run perfectly with ota updates til my phone dies.
Why not click on the link below if I helped? That way both of us get 500MB of extra drop box space http://db.tt/8W7JWBe1

You cant downgrade with an RUU you would need to run the 1.28 RUU or one of the 1.29 RUUs

Nope. You can either reinstall 1.28 RUU with HBOOT 0.94 (?) or a newer 1.29 RUU that will also upgrade your HBOOT to 0.95

just download and run the 1.28 RUU then
(oh there isnt one)
how can the RUU think you have 1.28 when you only have 1.26
surely you must have done an OTA for it to think your on 1.28 or are you on a custom rom
until o2 release the 1.28 RUU you best bet will probably be to flash a custom rom

Yes you can . Just go back to stock and you'll get the OTA update .
You can refer to this video to go back to stock .
If you want to just update your hboot and flash JB custom ROMs , follow this link .

And you can download the firmware.zip to update your hboot from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376

if you update the HBOOT you won't be able to downgrade it
And if I go back stock and get JB OTA for One X.. Will my Hboot remain same..?

For the firmware to update hboot... HTC__621 is not mentioned... Also ARHD treats HTC__621 as hboot 1.33... Its confusing to me. Any help with the noob kinda guide.

I think you misunderstood his question (or probably I did):
updating with firmware.zip will update your hboot to 1.33
if you go back stock and flash OTA jellybean your Hboot will also update to 1.33 (Then you can flash ARHD JB or any other Custom Sense rom)

if you install a certain firmware it will change your hboot, then if you go back to stock and you update again you hboot will upgrade another time or it will stay the same... don't know if i explained myself

So this means that if either way is followed hboot will definitely be upgraded...?

[Q] Correct RUU and back to stock

Hello to all,
I have a problem with my One X because when I want to update my android the update is downloaded but not installed ( i receive an error which says that my android version isn't ok and is not safe to install this update). Anyway ....I want to install a stock version of android on my phone and i don't know how to choose the correct RUU. My CID is HTC_001 and my radio version is 1.1204.105.14. Can anyone give me a link for downloading the correct RUU and tell me the correct steps to install it?
You need the main version
Fastboot getvar version-main
Post back please

Maybe the 2.17 version prior to this one because of driver conflict. Or the 3.14.401.27 ?
Seen lately that going directly to hboot 1.39 failed ....
Driver conflict?
Going to any JB RUU from ICS requires flashing the firmware I think.
The 2.17.401 should work, and OTA from there... Might be easier if a little more time consuming.

Yeah what i understood in the thread was that he was on stock 2.17 software and tried to flash to 3.14.401.31 and it didn't work, flashed the .27 ruu and it did work.....so here was a conflict of some kind. Its just a heads up if it doesn't work here. Still don't know exactly .... could also be his pc that was conflicting, but it was a little strange

[Q] Need O2_001 Jelly Bean RUU

Software version is 3.14.206.27
Download the 2.17.206 nandroid from the nandroid backup collection in the general thread. Restore it with Its boot.img and after that flash back the stock recovery
http://db.tt/U5CK4noo
Then you can update officially again !
I prefer this method because you dont have to relock and unlock the bootloader, this way you can keep it unlocked. Less chances of problems !!!
And if you are already on a JB hboot this method with a lower version nandroid works ..... The software and hboot is getting fooled
The software gets updated while the hboot stays at for example 1.39

[Q] Return to original rom and still not get OTA update

hi guys
im new in HTC ONE X-unbrande
i have CID HTC__J15
2.17.401.2 ver
when i buy the phone i have viper rom so i flash and wipe it and go back to the original rom
im install the:
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radio_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
now i have stock HOX and it work great , but i dont get the OTA JB
is it ok or i miss something,
thx alot guys
Did you check manually for updates ?
yes but still nothing,
it say that "my phone is up to date and no new update"
Keep trying from time to time....it should pop up eventually
do any one know when i need to see it... or i need to do somthing else
If you used the ruu successful, then the only way is to check manually for the update
can i download OTA file and Install it manually,
and if i do what file i need to look for?
Look for a OTA RUU file, probably wont find it because HTC has been waving around with lawsuits to people who host or distribute those files .....
i read here that i need to update my Hboot to get OTA JB ... is it right
i have 1.12.0000
and how i do it and what number i need to look for ... thx you all

You have run the ruu , the phone is full stock on android 4.0.4 sense 4.1.....to obtain the JB update you must be able to update the official way. Settings - info - softwareupdates......that will bring you to the JB hboot and a stock JB rom. Can't say much more about it
Sent from my GT-P5110 using xda app-developers app
im trying over a mounth to get the JB but still nothing,
im sure that i miss somthing that not bring me the OTA JB.
i read here that people with Hboot 1.12.0000 not get the OTA JB and after they update it the get it... maybe im wrong i dont know
Have a look to see if your ota is here, see 2nd post for install instructions
If you ota is not in the first post read all the comments as it may be in one of those.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1606676
how i know wich one i need , i have CID__J15 that the only thing i know ??
somthing more , i install this RUU to returne to original ROM and it work fine
RUU_ENDEAVOR_U_ICS_40_S_HTC_Europe_2.17.401.2_Radi o_2.1204.135.20_release_274900_signed.exe
Or go here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1957376
And update the hboot manually
Your software should be lifted to **.415.** you can't use the 3.14.401 ruu's because your cid is not listed in that ruu !
You need an ota or a ruu with **.4!5.** number in it

Was about to say the same thing
@ dror1723 what does "fastboot getvar all" display?
it say "wating to device" but no more of that
so you mean that i nee to go with this OTA update
OTA_ENDEAVOR_U_JB_45_S_HTC_ARA_3.16.415.4-2.17.415.2_release_304331.zip
at the post it say to change it to update.zip and run it from bootloader
Did you put the phone in the fastboot usb mode ?
