In my car I have a USB connector for iPod an such in the glove department. Is there a USB Bluetooth device that I can pair with my phone?

You'll probably want to list the car and stereo you are using. But I doubt there is anything that would work since the car/system probably doesn't have the intelligence to use it ie drivers or interface. If it did it would be built in already.

It will allow me to use a ipod/usb storage device on the USB connector(as aux).
Phone>USB bluetooth adapter>USB>Stereo
Car is a honda fit.
All I could find is
http://www.amazon.com/StereoClip-A1...r=1-1&keywords=Bluetooth+Audio+Streamer+(Aux)

That is the only type of connection I could think of also. But that connects to headphone jack not USB. And if you have a headphone input you would rather use that then Bluetooth anyway cause it would sound better imo.

I just don't like that thing poking out. Then having to charge the thing. I'm already going to have a phone charging wires. I'll continue looking. I'll see how a new Bluetooth stereo would fit.

I hate the cosmetics of chords being everywhere too. I actually switch between BT and direct cable aux. depending on how long I'll be driving, what I'm listening to, GPS nav, etc. I'll say though, even with newer BT 3.0 and DSP eq apps on our phone (doesn't matter what ROM) aux cable will give you BEST quality. Trust me you'll be missing a bunch of bass that just can't be transmitted wirelessly as great as direct cable connection. If you're in the market, I'd suggest going to a few places they'll let you test their stereo models with your phone (try before you buy).

I just bought an HTC box that plugs into the phone's USB, I wonder if it's the same deal...
My old G1 and MyTouch had no headphone jack, instead there was a USB adapter, and the sound is piped through the USB...
I wonder if that's standard, or just something HTC jerry rigged.
I'm hoping it's standard, so that I can hide this box in the dashboard of my car, run a line from the headphone jack on the box to the aux in on my stereo, and just plug the USB cable in to charge and get audio out of my phone.
...from your experience though, sounds like a no go.
Sounds like it could work, let me know!

I am thinking about getting a Verizon gnex. One specific function I am looking for is screen mirroring or navigation only output to my car DVD player. My DVD player only has component inputs. Yellow, red, white. Is there an adapter that would patch into that, and what are the video output possibilities on the device so far?
Sent from my SCH-I500 using xda premium
I as well was looking into the same thing. I couldn't find one one the web anywhere I looked. So if you can't find one there may be an alternative. You could try to cook up your own adapter if you know a little bit about circuitry and have some soldering skills.
Hope this helps

You will need a MHL to HDMI cable as well as an HDMI to composite converter box such as this:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0047PDBP0/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1328454437&sr=8-1
Unfortunately that box needs to be powered so you will need to either get a DC to AC inverter to plug in to the cigarette lighter and then plug in the adapter that came with the box or find something that will scale the DC voltage from the car battery to whatever voltage is required by the converter.
It sounds complicated but isn't really. Good luck!

And is screen mirror a choice?

Probably stupid question but I am still confused. does this phone have HDMI out? I read it does but there is no port.
Yes, Same plug as your power.
Www.monoprice.com has cords for just a few bucks goodluck

[Nice, thanks for the super quick reply. What type of HDMI cord does it need? because I know a regular HDMI cord will not do given the size of the micro USB port.
I guess something like this, id shop around see if you could find a better price from link above otherwise $15 aint that bad of a price

Its called MHL. It is a technology that is phenomenal and is being overlooked for the most part. Even phones that are capable of it don't advertise that they are capable of it. It is a simple adapter that plugs into your USB on your device and gives you a full size HDMI port to connect to your TV.
Does it charge your phone at the same time?

Your phone plugs into mhl, mhl has hdmi to tv. Mhl also needs a power source, so it is plugged into the wall. I think it is able to keep charged.
This creates full mirroring. Meaning you can play angry birds on your phone and have it up on the big screen

Hello,
I bought senheizer earphones to use with my s3. However it seems that the left side gives a reduced sound. I would not have not noticed but sometimes the sound in that ear piece increases. Hence I noticed. Also I checked my earphones with other sound output devices and have confirmed that the earphone are working fine.
I read somewhere that the 3.5 mm jack is an exact fit. Which might cause a connection issue. If that is correct can someone suggest a solution. If that's not the case is there a defect with my phone?
This same problem occurs less frequently with original Samsung earphones.
Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue with my OMX adidas sennheiser headphones and I was able to resolve the issue by purchasing an external control or an apple trrs to android trrs connector. Heres an article why there are problems...
http://tech.gluga.com/2011/03/earphones-with-integrated-mics-and.html
You can double check this issue by plugging in the Factory Headphones that came with the phone(TRRS) ( do not use apple headphones, or beats headphones, because apple uses a different wiring for TRRS Jacks).
heres some options for you. If you know how to solder, you can find diagrams with this link
http://tech.gluga.com/2011/03/earphones-with-integrated-mics-and.html
heres the cables you can buy to convert it
http://www.meelec.com/MEElectronic_TRRS_Adapter_for_P_Version_Headphones_p/adptr-trrs-35.htm
http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-5mm-Earphone-Adapter-Headphone-Nokia-N-Series-9977-/170482444368?
Also, you can check Radioshack or Best Buy. They sell an extension to add controls to any headset, which will convert your TRS to TRRS, if its an android compatible headset. Good Luck!

I'm using a pair sennheiser cx 280 which has a trs connection. oddly enough ive had the left sound come and go randomly. so far it doesnt seem to be a hardware issue because i will listen to pandora and might have the issue and then when I switch to google music it will work just fine or vice versa. no amount of wiggling or replugging can reproduce the issue so it leads me to believe there might be a software issue? or im just going crazy
Hey everyone I just got my first car (I'm 16) and it's a 2006 Ford Fusion with no aux and no bluetooth capabilities, although I've been looking at adapters on amazon. Particularly the Anker Roav SmartCharge T1, and the Nulaxy Bluetooth FM Transmitter (newer model). I like these two because they both have bluetooth and AUX ports along with USB ports. I'm wondering which one will give me better sound quality for my music. Also if theres any better options guys please let me know! I really appreciate the help and have a great day!

This is probably the best one your going to get if you aux in your sound will be better.
The more you remove the wireless functions the higher quality sound you will achieve.

They both have Aux ports, the only thing I like better about the Nulaxy is it shows my car battery voltage which eh. So for the better sound quality I should get the Roav? Anyone have any experience with them?
Sent from my SM-G970U1 using Tapatalk
In any case, you will not get high-quality sound, as with Receiver and amplifier. This is an easy option and they will play the same.
