Ok I know some of you are probably wondering what type of question is this lol.. Last night I had a few drinks and dropped my phone, now I have a cracked screen at the bottom right of the phone. Called my friend (works at sprint) he said he can't swap it out just because of the screen but told me if I brick it he can swap it out, all I have to do is blame the new ota update when I come in so his manager gives the approval. So what's the fastest way to get a BLOD? Would removing the wire while running a sfhub OC do it?? I just can't live with a cracked screen ima go crazy!!!

Yeah. In the middle of an Odin update remove the cable. That should do the trick.

Alrighty then. Thanks guys!!! So sad I'm doing this to my baby but I just can't deal with it, I feel like a bad husband who beats his lady
He said he can give me a discount on a gs3 but I'm not sure I want to make the jump. I love the phone but to leave Wimax when I have full coverage for an LTE device that probably won't see LTE for a year or two sounds dumb.. Think I'll just stick with another gs2!

Someone is jealous they don't have a hook up at Sprint I see.. You'll get over it! And it's *your mistake* Not you're! You're = You are
"Hook up" at sprint is not equal to the "right" thing to do... I don't think he was jealous as much as he was pointing out what you are attempting to do could be considered/is fraud... I'm not passing judgment on you but perhaps if you're accident prone you may want to consider adding insurance to the line, which is the route many of us around here take... additionally no one is forcing you to live with a broken screen, replacements can be found on eBay for reasonable prices and to change it it's just 9 Phillips head screws and 3 cables to unplug/ replug... not super hard to do... lastly I hope I didn't accidentally mispell anything in this reply as I wouldn't want to feel the wrath of the grammer nazi fraudster...

Yes, I'm jealous because you lack the intelligence to figure out something so trivial, I'm also jealous because "YOUS" to broke to pay to have a screen fixed. Also....I'm jealous that you have a friend that works for sprint, actually extremely jealous. I only have a brother and two close friends that work for sprint.
How does one go about getting only one friend that works for sprint and then begin to radiate this sprint branded swag that clearly creates uncontrollable amounts of jealousy because of said friend?

"YOUR" absolutely right. Myself and others don't mind the cost of insurance going up because of false claims.
That's the problem with this world instead of holding people accountable for their actions, their stupidity is excused with acts such as these (eg. Ins cost goes up). Same concept as welfare. How many of us are ecstatic that our stolen tax dollars go to funding that?

I'll just keep my fingers crossed that he has rooted and flashed a ROM, so when he does brick and thinks he's pulling a fast one they see the binary and tell him to go orally stimulate a goat.

I don't hear Sprint *****ing about all the money they have taken throughout the years for insurance I hardly ever use. Or how about these ****ty 3g speeds they give us? I don't hear Sprint saying they would give us a credit for all the money we put in their pocket for data which is barely usable.. Some of you are too funny! my galaxy s ii was stolen today at school and i was wondering if they will give me a new phone for free or will i have to pay full price again for a new one, I have insurance. Or can they like use the Satellite to track the phone down so they can give it back to me?
you will have to pay the deductible which is like $140 or something like that...
if you have the higher insurance it has remote tracking...i have never seen anyone go that route though and i would imagine the chances of recovering it are slim to none

the good thing about tracking through the tmobile insurance way is that they do it on their end right? its not reliant on an app that you downloaded...but i doubt that they will recover it though..its probably more if you left it somewhere, they could remind you of the area you were in or something
ive never used that method so im just guessing here

Probably not, just sounds bricked...what happened before this?
Plugging it into the charger if it doesn't turn on likely wouldn't do any good, as the phone technically needs to be "on" to charge the battery correctly. Even when off, the phone is still in a pseudo-on mode when plugged in.

Unfortunately, though, our M&P regarding rooted and ROMed phones has changed recently, and we do now have to cover hard bricks (provided they're not caused by liquid, physical damage, etc.). Doesn't make sense...but it is what it is.

If you have the blue light of death and can't get into Download Mode or Recovery, then you can just go to a Sprint store and pay $35 to get a replacement, even if you don't have TEP. This is what I did when I was hit with the emmc superbrick bug back in February. They will probably give you a refurb though. Sometimes the techs can be uptight though so it may help to act dumb and claim you were accepting the FF18 OTA update when something happened to your phone.

lol wow okay most people learn from their mistakes. Doesn't matter what the tep covers you still pay hard earned money for it.. i'm a tech as well and yeah very rarely i reject exchange requests when I know the phone was bricked because of flashing. If it's at the end of the month i'll maybe reject it because of my AE rate but beginning of the month i'll help happily And you educate urself more after these silly mistakes. Sprint makes way more than enough money from new acts, so considering the cost for insurance, shouldnt be a problem. Deductibles and insurance cost is going up anyways for these new phones with a higher retail price of $550 and thats BS.
So, I don't know if anyone has read the new claims that crapple seems to be bringing to court but here is a link to the post.

Although here is some what of a break down of the contents.
It seems as though Apple has gone some crazy insane on crack or something because now they want to add 17 devices because they're all compatible with a stylus in some way. Now how the hell is that possible? None of Apple's products use a stylus, that I'm aware of anyway. At least they don't ship with one. Also, they are going after the GNex now, because hmmmm....It's running Jelly Bean?! That doesn't make any damn sense what so ever. So I though I would just bring this up for some discussion because I don' have the slightest idea how they can do this?
I always read about apple trying find something ***** about android / Samsung software and products. It seems like they just want own the market, but that just it not everyone cares for them. I see how their product is their own. But lot of it seems picky

I have a small feeling they are attacking the GNex because it is ALWAYS updated. Google keeps the GNex on top of it. Apple probably views it as a threat because while we are here using the GNex for quite awhile (since we don't get bored with it), Apple has to release an entire new product to keep the users entertained.

Microwave metal == VERY bad idea, phone or not.
I would try to get all the water out, shake, blow etc. then set the device on top of something mildly warm such as a cable box, maybe a computer. Patience is a virtue.
I know that but I guess they didnt.. I just told them to dry it for me while I washed my **** smelling hands lol....

evidence of mass retardation
putting phone in a microwave? language skills of an educated monkey, and
talking like a moron. Its no wonder the roads are full of jackasses who cant drive because they're texting their " dawgs " or their " baby mommas" .
what a bunch of dumbasses. really? listen- if you cant discuss intelligent topics here.. then take your questions to your momma..or your dawg..
dont waste OUR time with stupid questions. WAKE UP!! This is not intended for our senior members...or those who use their developed brains.

I didnt know that asking for an antenna was a stupid, especially from a moron with the reading comprehesion skills of a 2nd grader. Remind me again where does it say that I was texting and driving. Oh and by the way no one is asking you participate in this thread you know, the internet wasn't meant to appease dumb*sses like you, and so what if I am "hood" at least im not an overpriveledged c*nt who thinks something is stupid because it isn't relevant to them.

WTF is this a pissing contest for morons? Watch out one of you guys might actually piss on your shoes instead of your zipper. and why the hell is this still open? Mods must not cruise the accessories forums much :screwy:

That did escalate quickly. If you might have noticed (at least this is how I read the OP), the OP is not the one who put the phone in the microwave to begin with. First sentence was "He gave it to someone to dry." Second, right after the microwave was brought into the play, he states that he didn't even know why it was put in the microwave to begin with.
Thank you for ending that particular discussion.
To the OP, as far as damage to your phone goes, I will have to agree that there is still definitely some water damage. I would do my best talking with Sprint to see if you can squeeze a phone out of them. I've done it in the past with water damage. Good luck to you.
Well ive tried and no phone yet sadly but im deaing well with this one..

My friend started service 2 months ago to get the note 2 on T-Mobile. He has 360$ equipment loan fee still plus he his bill is $373 and he got three Note 2 replacements from t mobile and a iPhone 5 and didn't send them back and he isn't going to pay his bill what could happen?. I told him he's going to really mess up his credit. What could happened from what he's doing? He got a bunch of messages from t mobile saying he has to pay up to $850 if he doesn't send the phone back what's going to happen?

They will charge him the retail of each phone and through tmobile the charges are not reversible, with the obvious abuse they will report It as a theft and charge for each phone since tbe cost is going to be so high your friend may want to look into what amount is felony and whats not

first things first. your freind is young and stupid. not only will he have a strike against his credit but they will
block ime numbers of phones and they will be useless to anybody. people do things like this because they don't think long term.
let this be a lesson to you what not to do.. i spent a whole year repairing my credit because i wanted to buy a house and there was no way around that. he thinks it's nothing now but he will see how stupid it is later. and don't forget that any decent job is checking your credit flle before hiring you.. fyi.. same with car insurance companies. having bad credit can be like having a criminal record follow you around.
remember, how can two walk together except they agree..
find new freinds..
Yea he did it because he really needed the money smh. What's going to happen to him
Sent from my SPH-L720 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
and imei-s of not returned phones will be blacklisted and pretty much useless on majority gsm networks.

lol u again huh? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2217635
anyone else getting the feeling that "shaqqq's friend" is actually himself... you seem extremely concerned about your "friends" credit and what can happen. personal i hope they send the cops to "your friend's" home and arrest him for fraud and grand theft. he basically has three note 2's & and iphone 5 he feels he doesn't have to pay for (shows character) so that right there is close to $2,800 plus a couple months over due on service. just enough for GT of the third degree.
but unfortunately that wont happen... "theres procedures, we love procedures" (sorry, Top Gear quote)... but most likely "your friend" will just accept the bad credit strikes, whatever comes with it & live with his moral standards.... im sure its not the first time you (i meant he) does this type of scam. might get away with it now but one day you wont get away with it and get caught and thrown in jail... and we'll still be paying for "your friends" 4x8 box
just sounds sad. "he" needs the money? get a job... obviously he couldnt afford the first note 2 when he signed up with tmobile in the first place.

I think people just find it weird you are posting about it again and it has nothing to do with the Note 2 really it belongs in a credit repair forum.

Will if it is you and you're really stealing and lying why would you tell us the truth. What you need to recognize is this community doesn't take to kindly to anyone stealing from the phone company. not that we like them so much, but we like electronics and know that eventually we are the ones who will pay for it with higher bills, phones and insurance costs. The companies aren't going to just absorb the loss

Okay what could happen is shot credit, and he gets beat up. I say that because tmo WILL blacklist the phone. Your friend will still sell it, probably as new based off my take on the kind of person he is. So he then screws someone who doesn't know better, or gets someone like me who takes every penny I lost back one way or another.
He will also never be able to come back to tmo and will have all the benefits of poor credit for a long time, you know no car, house, credit cards. He will then die a virgin because girls don't want low life scum. Or if he gets a girl it will be a trashy girl and your friend will get an std.

If your friend really needed the money, maybe a JOB would be more helpful but since he's willing to break the law, a career in drug deals might be more up his line.
Lol y'all so straight up with the stuff y'all say.
