[Q] no screen !!!! {fixed} :)

hi guys
I did root to my desire From UNLOCKER and my screen became off always after I did it!!!!
anyone help me please

SLCD-Screen? Should´ve done a little bit more research before rooting, if this is the case. Search the forum for instructions how to get your phone back working.
Otherwise i have no clue whats wrong with your phone.

[Q] Build# 1.82 how to root it?

For the first.. Hi All !!!
I am a new in Android and HTC brand. I have read some materials on this forum, and would like to make sure and clarify some doubts.
I have checked bulid# and it is 1.82 In some thread it was written that rooting needs below 1.72. If I understood well I will need to downgrade it but is it applicable for 1.82 and if it is, what method would you suggest for me (pls indicate any good thread).

Ok, thanks but I have read it generally and it is for 1.72 not 1.82 as in my situation. Are you sure it will work?
I would like to have sure..., to not brick my new, already lovely phony Consider too I am a new in this subject, Android and HTC. I wouldn't like to screw up something.

How have you managed to perm root / downgrade your 1.82 g2 ?
I have a desire z 1.82 and I'm stuck on the step 11, it won't ask me to apply the update. Previous steps works.

Ok, I had similar problem and it was caused because I hadn't used Goldencard. So for the first lets check this.
Have you checked your CID?

Now you can flash custom ROMs. If you like stock soft with sense I advice you to try Virtous ,pretty nice ,I'm using it now.
For going into something more custom try CM7 (be aware it is without sense).

hello guys i have htc desire hd and i need the phone to get rooted to be able to install hebrew fonts for example(like menu ,settings etc) and support arabic (connected characters) but it seems i couldn't make it because the build number is 1.72 and this version cannot be rooted so what you prefer guys to update to 2.3 gingerbread or to downgrade the software number ?indeed I have no experience how to update htc version !!

You need to downgrade the phone first to root, then you can install which ever Rom you like, search the forum there is a guide

i have no idea what is goldcard and should i make one ? i bought the phone from ebay and i dont know if it's branded or not

You will lose everything, and you do not need a goldcard.

first step is to download PD98IMG.zip and extract it in some folder in desktop
2.get to cmd and write the commands (my quistion which method should i use the froyo or gigngerbread and should i do the section 3?

Your phone has android 2.2.1, which is Froyo. Then section 3.

ok after that what should i do to return the fone to life ??? and what is s-off s-on and what is related to the root????????

Send it to me & I will root it, sell it on eBay and. Send you my old Nokia 3210. Seems that's about as sophisticated a phone as you can manage

Gasan ask in the thread I posted, its specifically there for that purpose.
But be prepared for:
a) You need some rudimentary understanding of computers
b) You need to understand that anything like this has the risk of making your phone unusable (bricked)
c) Read the ENTIRE thread before you expect anyone to help when you ask any questions, I know this is a bit of a pain but we all had to do it once and it will get you more insight into the process and less rage from the people who spend all their time writing and coding this stuff.

Its not that we don't want to help, firstly this is the development section, you do not post questions here, there is a separate forum for that.
Secondly you need to use the search function, there's a lot of guides and info here to help. You should at least go through them before posting blindly.
Lastly, welcome to the forum, enjoy and respect the rules .

[Q] Need help with HTC Desire HD

Hello, I have a HTC DHD and i need help. I want to install a new ROM on it but i have 2.3.3 so i can't root it. My question, Can someone give me a program to my computer so i can install it that way or do i have to wait to i can root it? Please help.

Good day xda,like the title says,just got a new G2,with 2.3.4,and i cant seem to find a good and simple way to root it,and am getting really frustrated,am kinda new to androids,so dnt knw most terms used....

follow this, the cyanogen wiki, or strawmetals pdf guide. do not follow any guide other than these three. they are all essentially the same but the only tried and true method
