If you head to the theme section here, someone made a flashable zip to remove the search bar. He also has one to set your screen grid to 5x4 or 5x5. Sorry I don't have the link off-hand.

I was wondering if anyone could make a cwm flashable zip to remove the dock divider from the JB launcher. would be for the Verizon(CDMA) Galaxy Nexus running DroidVicious JBv1. Thanks in advance.
Why not just use nova or apex?

Would that affect the overall smoothness/performance of JB? I'm trying to keep everything as close to stock as possible, so I'm trying not to use 3rd party apps. I just need minor mods done.
Jelly bean and ICS have different persistent search bars, where are the pngs stored? in what apk?

I know a different launcher will do it but I want to change it myself. Like in Photoshop like I do for all my icons and pngs

If you make one yourself, then post it in theme and apps ... I too would like to change it!
Is there a way to remove it I've looked and can't find anything

Bit of a noob questions, is it possible to change the Settings Screen Icons to look more like the Galaxy S3 Settings Screen, the Nexus 4 icons a very mono, want coloured icons.
I guess I would have to root the Nexus 4?
Thanks
If your rooted, just apply a theme u can download from play store. There's actually a theme called Touchwiz which is exactly what you are looking for

You can also apply icon themes through a third party launcher like nova or apex without the need for rooting.

When you long press the Softkeys on the Nexus 4 you see a Google Button from where you can get quick access to Google now. I want do know now where this image is placed because I want to change it and flash it. Does anyone know how to do this?
I am on stock rom and rooted by the way.

Don't know how you can do it on stock but some custom ROMs include the feature. I'm using slim ROM......

AW: [Q] Google Now Navring Shortcut
I just want to change the image of the Google Now Button, not adding anything to the Navring. So instead of this white Button with black Google logo an other picture.

I would search for it in system/framework/systemUI/res/drawables/xhdpi (or hdpi for other screens)
AW: [Q] Google Now Navring Shortcut
You mean /system/app/systemUI/... don't you?

Oh, of course. This is what I meant to say. I mixed it up with the framework resources
AW: [Q] Google Now Navring Shortcut
Good idea but it is not the right one :/
I also searched for it in /system/framework/framework-res.apk/... and /system/app/velvet/...
I often saw the image but when I flashed it nothing changed there :/

/system/app/systemUI.apk/... ?
AW: [Q] Google Now Navring Shortcut
Yes "..." is just /res/drawable-xhdi
so it is/system/app/systemUI.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi

the image file is in the google search apk, not the system framework.
AW: [Q] Google Now Navring Shortcut
Do you mean the Velvet.apk? I flashed the image files but nothing changed :/
Did you try to flash them?
