Everyday we wake up there seems to be another patent infringement that Apple has decided to take to court, stupid comments or news that just doesn't make any sense.

What could we sue them for? What could any other company sue them for? I'm sure we can come up with some stupid ideas, just like there legal team has....

I want to sue them for using an apple as their logo. Its quite clear they did not invent nor create the apple so they shouldn't be able to use it if they didn't create it.

Well first thing is I would like to know when did or what phone did they started having the notification bar cuz there was a developer that supposedly created the notification bar as a app/mod type for the iPhone but you had to be jail broken.

I could deal with reading through forums finding a mostly bug free rom and installing updates from some stranger crossing my fingers and hoping I didn't just join a botnet, or I could just buy an iphone and be done with it. To each his own I guess, but I for one am done with Android, I know Apple will take care of me until my hardware can no longer support it (with the obvious exception of Siri - probably has to do with server side capacity).

According to this: Who Was Really First? Apple vs. Samsung, the dates in the pic are completely incorrect for Samsung. That said, the comments of this article have some pretty compelling information that leans toward Samsung on this. So, the pic may not be correct but, the spirit is justifiable given other facts. Regardless, Apple is the imitator, not the innovator.

I can easily deny he was a genius. Compare him to real geniuses, did he invent the Theory of Relativity? How about inventing Calculus? He "invented" marketing to idiots. He "invented" taking other people's work and then sewing them for it. He "invented" being at the right place at the right time. I'm glad he's dead, cuz now he's in Heaven.

Jobs was a business man. No business man is a genius IMO. He was more child like with his demands to make things better "or else!" The real work was done by the programmers, engineers, etc. It doesn't take a genius to spew demands.. I could walk into Samsung right now and start demanding they fix the issues discussed in this forum, does that make me a genius?

Honestly, Legal or not, People are going to do it anyway. We pay for the device. We break it its our fault.. They don't have to warrenty anything we screw up. But how are they really gonna stop it? lol Besides, what's the fun of a stock device?

I should have titled it self unlocking not legal, that was the point.
I had heard months ago from a apple case that deemed jail breaking legal when they tried suing someone for it.
Yeah...I'm not quite sure how the hell they're going to enforce a "no rooting" law
and wow, a tablet is a handheld gaming device? So my phone, which can play the same things as a tablet, isn't a gaming device?
It seems to be targeting apple products. And I don't see how this could apply to android phones, since they can't really say what we can or can't do to the operating system seeing as it is open source. Flashing it for use on a different carrier is different compared to flashing roms.
I just skimmed through the whole pdf and it doesn't look like they ever mention android specifically being effected, and the whole jailbreak/rooting thing seems to mostly target apple products.

IMO, this crap is going to get a lot worse before long so be ready for it. Apple is in bed with the government already with the fact their the GPS stays on like a day after it shuts down, and the iphone video camera killer that law enforcement has now. As long as they keep working together they will keep challenging privacy laws until they get what they want.

But if you use a transparent navigation bar than it looks weird...
To bad the black level for the Nexus screen is not great also the gamma is to high, so it doesn't blend in compared to Amoled screen. But if you use AOKP roms you can enable tablet mode and have the status bar in the bottom, it look more natural with this.

It's okay if you file a patent agreement and pay royalty like with HTC, then you can make things like HTC One without getting sued.

This is good to look, but its still incomplete. The ROM is made for square corners. The MIUI ROMS do it very nicely. YOu should give them a try.
And that guy with the Apple patent thing, please go and file lawsuits first for MIUI, because their ROMs look a hell lot like iPhone, but they are beyond awesome, and beyond what Apple's stupid iPhones can do. Do you think you could find someone to upgrade your humor detection chip, I'm afraid it may be faulty. At least check the firmware, I believe the latest version is ROFL.LOLv3. Updating that should give you increased detection of humor on websites. Sarcasm detection is hit and miss, however, for that you need to install the DARIAv4 firmware for improved detection. Good luck.

BINGGGOO! Plus she's always complaining how slow her phone is, how it's always freezing, always draining the battery from 100%-0% within 5 hours, and a bunch more things. Will be nice to see her with a great phone and not a stupid crApple phone! Plus now we can do this if ya catch my drift

Congrats. When we went phone shopping I told my wife I would only buy her a phone if she left her iPhone and got the S3. Lol two days after we got are phones she gave her iPhone away and never looked back. She loves the NFC and ease of picture sharing.

I don't see why you call it crApple. I personally like iPhones. They are just boring. They are good for people who want something simple, or don't have the time to customize. Sure, apple likes to squeeze every cent out in some places. But when you think about it, up till the iPhone 5, every apple product used the same charger. Everything was synced through iTunes. I love using iTunes. I wish android and apple would work together so I could sync using iTunes. You don't need to convert her if she likes it.
