I could deal with reading through forums finding a mostly bug free rom and installing updates from some stranger crossing my fingers and hoping I didn't just join a botnet, or I could just buy an iphone and be done with it. To each his own I guess, but I for one am done with Android, I know Apple will take care of me until my hardware can no longer support it (with the obvious exception of Siri - probably has to do with server side capacity).

If you don't like TouchWiz then check on this online petition. I doubt Samsung will listen but it's worth a shot. I'd like to see Samsung at least give users the option to keep TW or disable it. This petition is asking for at leas to have the option to disable it.

Since Twiz is written into the framework, like a cancer, it would be pretty hard to boot with that option. Unless Sammy and TMo are going to have 2 Roms installed and have the ability to choose boot.
Given that, most likely rumor. Of course, it could be just misinterpreted and actually means you can choose between Twiz or AOSP launcher, which doesn't mean anything as that's aesthetic and people can use whatever launcher they want anyway.

I should have titled it self unlocking not legal, that was the point.
I had heard months ago from a apple case that deemed jail breaking legal when they tried suing someone for it.

and wow, a tablet is a handheld gaming device? So my phone, which can play the same things as a tablet, isn't a gaming device?
It seems to be targeting apple products. And I don't see how this could apply to android phones, since they can't really say what we can or can't do to the operating system seeing as it is open source. Flashing it for use on a different carrier is different compared to flashing roms.
I just skimmed through the whole pdf and it doesn't look like they ever mention android specifically being effected, and the whole jailbreak/rooting thing seems to mostly target apple products.

IMO, this crap is going to get a lot worse before long so be ready for it. Apple is in bed with the government already with the fact their the GPS stays on like a day after it shuts down, and the iphone video camera killer that law enforcement has now. As long as they keep working together they will keep challenging privacy laws until they get what they want.

Congrats. When we went phone shopping I told my wife I would only buy her a phone if she left her iPhone and got the S3. Lol two days after we got are phones she gave her iPhone away and never looked back. She loves the NFC and ease of picture sharing.

LOL. I remember this thread I saw once and that said something like "Someone please help me, I'm logged into my husbands account and I saw that another member was sending him pictures through PM, what can I do?"
And everyone was like "Get marriage counseling." until a mod closed the thread haha
I don't see why you call it crApple. I personally like iPhones. They are just boring. They are good for people who want something simple, or don't have the time to customize. Sure, apple likes to squeeze every cent out in some places. But when you think about it, up till the iPhone 5, every apple product used the same charger. Everything was synced through iTunes. I love using iTunes. I wish android and apple would work together so I could sync using iTunes. You don't need to convert her if she likes it.
