I stream music to my TV quite often and a lot of the times my TV doesn't show up in the menu. A reboot of the phone fixes it but is there an easier way?

sounds like you need to reboot your router, has the firmware been updated?

I've tried it and yes. I just think it's time for a new one, probably gone through hell with all the years of gaming with it.

try getting this router...obviously its not the best but it works... Downside its not exactly apple friendly when it comes to networking ipad/apple tv to itunes but a few tweaks in the settings and updating the firmware it works great!

Na it does, just click on the clock and go all the way to the bottom and enable the automatic update.

is this even possible? I tried connecting to my friends iphone, it shows a notification on both our phones to accept and whatnot with the passkey, like normal, but it says on his end not connected. Is this even possible to do?

I tried that as well with my wife's Iphone and my E4GT. Don't think the IOS and android want to talk to one another.

Just out of curiosity, what are you trying to accomplish? I tried doing this to a friend's phone after seeing your post and I didn't have any luck but there might be another way of doing what you're trying to do (or I could've just been doing something wrong)...
I am pretty sure i read that iphones can only connect to other iphones via bluetooth of course with the exception of headsets. Stupid apple...
I just googled this and came across this web page. Looks like you can install the BUMP app on both phones and it uses the bluetooth to transfer files between devices. Good luck

trying to play NBA JAM via Bluetooth. Any ideas?
The Nexus 7 (2013) can now do full screen casting through Chromecast - I've done it, but the delay between the device and the Chromecast is pretty bad. There is a good 4-6 second delay between the two. It starts off perfect, but quickly slows down. Just wondering how anyone else's experiences are.
I get about 1/3 second lag. What's your router, any g devices?
Mine won't work, I just get FC of google play services (I read some others have the same issue, it's a cleanly installed 4.4.4 stock ROM), not a big deal, I'm not the type who needs to cast the screen from my device anyway, but it's nice to know it's there, it's a beta, so hopefully it will be addressed.
Mine works flawlessly. Little to no latency. I can play Clash of Clans on my TV :good::laugh:

I use a Cisco ValetPlus (Wireless N). It's definitely not the router - but I haven't used my Chromecast in months prior to this, maybe it needs an update to enable WiFi Direct or whatever the new protocol is.
If it doesn't work at all, try rebooting the chromecast. Long lag might be interference, change router channel?

Yeah, tried hard rebooting, as well as resetting the chromecast, as well as my device, cleared cache, etc, it's simply broken for me.

Thanks for taking the time to post that though.
My cast screen works perfectly, depending on app in use I might see instances where the audio goes out of sync for a half a second, but virtually no lag whatsoever.
For those keeping score, I think my issue is due to viper4android, casting works fine in android L for me (where there is no viper installed), and based on the logcat in 4.4.4 when it fails it looks like the audio portion is where it crashes, this weekend I will copy my 4.4.4 rom to a secondary slot and remove viper to confirm.

dude it says that it will be a staggered release in the coming days that means it's going to take some time until someone grabs dota link and puts it available
Time to try every (mostly not working) trick to get the update notification

I just got the update too iOS 9.1 turned my 360 into the Iwatch since whenever everybody asks about it " Is that the new apple watch?" No dumbA$$ apple is not the only one that makes smartwatches and phones.
No worries cause I bet my my bottom dollar some joker will no doubt start a new thread about the horrible battery on 5.1.1.
I'm sorry, how do I clean the wear app to try to start the process??
Installed the update, Wi-Fi works with no issues, flick gestures are nice, navigation still smooth, entering settings takes a while, battery seems fine.

Is the VPN part necessary? Thats the only thing I didn't do (because I don't know what it means) and I can't get mine to show the update.
So what's the trick to force an update. . . . Just let a wipe and then reload or what. Never had to force an update before.

-Reinstall AW app
Voila. There's different variations of this, which work for some, and don't for others. Worked for me twice on the 1st day of rollout both times, so the naysayers can keep to themselves.

Ya that didn't work for me. Maybe cuz I'm in the great white north of Canada.
Okay, here's another one. As I noted, my company cripples my S5. I can use Android Wear, and I have got things mostly okay working-wise. I can't install any watch faces not already in the AW app, and I can't install Moto Connect. I can't install any damn thing not on their list, I guess.
Also, since we use Knox, I can't access USB debugging, so I can't install apks to the watch from a PC. (sigh)
So, I know you can't pair with more than one device at a time, can I pair with my un-crippled phone, get the watch faces and programs I want on it, and pair it with the work S5 without wiping it? Is possible??
