I had nothing to do with creating this. Just thought you guys would want to know that the lastest Wifi tether has been uploaded and it's supports Infrasructure Mode on 2.2 ROMs (Including CM6)
Major props to Harald Mueller for this! Don't hesitate to donate for all this guy's hard work!

Yep the app starts the sprint tether I think.
What did you hit to make it reboot? It did reboot once when I turned the tether off but I don't know if it's done that consistently.

Oh, haha, I don't think you have to mess with that. The app starts that up all by itself. Should just see the button turn yellow and it'll be on.

ya, thats cool tho that it brings it up, tho i wish it didnt need to stay in my notification panel, with the wireless tether as well.
it worked great and i feel like its way faster too.

Yeah, I don't think there is any way of getting around that. Small price to pay for some awesome Froyo tether
It's definitely just as fast or faster than mobile AP was.
do we still require a kernel that supports this? or has anyone gotten it to actually work. i know its an experimental build, but it didnt work for me. my lappy could see it, which is good because it cant even see ad hoc, but it failed connecting.
edit: hmmm, ya i see now its working for you. i still have old wifi tether installed, maybe thats it?
ok last time i mess with that, For heads up dont mess with any of the sprint stuff, it makes your phone reboot then makes it pop up an error when trying to connect, if you do just clear the app data and start over and it seems to work now

Yeah, he said to remove old versions I think.
I've tested it on stock DK28, ViperROM 4.0.2c and CM6 Beta0 All of them worked just fine,

Worked perfectly to me and connected to my ipod touch no problem first try, and i had the old one installed, and then i uninstalled and still work,
Just a note dont mess with the sprint hotspot that pops up with it, it will just **** it up and you will have to clear data on the app or uninstall and reinstall again.

No. The app "talks" directly to the kernel. There is "something" implemented in the framework which detects that necessary kernel-setup-steps were performed.
It's not using the official hotspot-app/feature at all - only kernel-stuff (that's why it even works on CM6).

Hey thats cool, and it is faster then mobile ap, i just was streaming netflix on my ipod touch with this and it loaded at least 2-3 times faster.
Probaly faster considering this is the sprint hotspot its activating. too bad i can't use all those sprint settings lol, oh well as long as its fast works on 4g and infrastructure. YAY

Should be able to set all of the same settings in the tether APP
So this is the same as MobileAP(works on ps3)?
Is there any advantage MobileAp have over this?

Well i guess if i could unistall the sprint hotspot some how i could, avoid that, the only reason it pops up is because this app uses the official sprint hotspot stuff, as seen in the mobile ap thread, someone bought the subscription and helped this guy make this work.
Brilliant! ...thanks for sharing!

Besides looking prettier and no sprint hotspot popping up with this, no this is better!!! and faster then mobile ap.
is it possibile to get rid of sprints hotspot or is it always there besides cm6?

You could try ... but I think that notivication is triggered by the "system-framework" and not by the hotspot-app. The key were some dmesg-dumps to see which parameters are passed to kernel. Since I know the bcm4329-driver a little bit it was not that hard ... but it took some time and around 70 mails to/from "formula84" (the guy who was very helpful with testing/logs).
So I recently got this phone and it came with Android 2.3.6
I stand next to my old school and it catches the router TP-LINK### and connects, gathers IP address and the signal bar displays as good.
Finally, when I try to access the web it doesn't seem to work and says I need to check settings. What else would I need to check? Anyone know?

I will check those and try tomorrow, thanks. In the mean time more suggestions are welcome.
So I just succesfully connected to my current school's router and the web is accessable and downloading is just perfect. That sure is a relief that it's not a problem of my phone.
Gonna try checking the static IP address option later on the other school.

Network spoofer BY FAR. why kill their wifi when you direct their every click to any web address you choose, or replace every image on every webpage with a picture of your choosing. Thats just the beginning. You can do some s*** that will make wifi kill look like a baby toy. Imagine going into starbucks and every image on every screen is a picture of your fav. Presidential canidate, and no matter what they click it goes straight to their campaign page....PRICELESS AND IT WORKS. LOVE IT!!

Thats good when you feel like fighting its natural not to punch yourself no, it will not attack the host device. Just set it up, make sure it starts up properly, choose your weapon of choice and apply to all devices. It wont take long b4 someone in the house is COMPLETELY lost and verbally announces their frusteration

Well my dad owns his own buisness and makes a living on doing appraisal reports and private investigation and he runs most of it from his computer.. wouldnt be smart to **** with it. Not to mention this hack is to weak to even get past any firewall on a computer as ive noticed. Won't get past my norton 360. And im hacking from my evo to my S3, a lot of these hacks just says i have no wifi connection when i use it. the kittenwar one worked.. but half the time it was saying couldn't connect
wow nevermind. Some websites dont work but others do XD Its quite easy to hack from inside a wifi network, but extremely difficult to hack in if you dont have the password for it..

You have to disable WiFi before you shutdown wifikill. Then it won't reboot your phone.
Why would anyone want to do this to people? Doesn't seem very nice.

Same here. I downloaded Safetynet check and it says CTS Profile mismatch. Can't use Android pay to charge my car. It was after the update earlier today that's supposed to fix the red tint issue some people were having. I should have held off if I knew it would break android pay.

Everyone!!!! It's not an issue with the software from samsung... If you download the latest Google play services 11.0.33 the device will pass safetynet check, store will show certified and Android pay will work as expected!!! I did this and it worked for me on my S8+.
Just an update on the situation, I have reached out to T-Mobile via Twitter Support and they have informed me that they are aware of the issue and will fix in the next update. (Hoping soon)
Hey there! Thanks so much for reaching out about this and bringing it to our attention. We have noted this issue down and we are making adjustments for when our next update comes out from Samsung! I sincerely appreciate the feedback and it will be sent in the right direction to the right people! I have a link here: https://support.t-mobile.com/community/phones-tablets-devices/software-updates … that take you to our software updates page where you can see and watch our updates as they come to our network!
