This has been answered before. What's stopping people from hacking this phone is that this phone is relatively new. It had just came out on the market for almost a month and the developers may have not been able to purchase the phone yet.

Just to add to this, the bootloader is almost everything and Sony fixed Gingerbread so that it cannot be exploited using the old fashion means, which means either we develop new means or wait for ICS that we have a new way to exploit.
It may also be that many devs are working on the new more powerful phones, any Sony is really a small underground community. I promise when I get an ion I'll start developing.

Another reason is that everyone is waiting for ICS, why bother to develop for GB when ICS is coming in like 1-2 month.

I called the dev allocation line, they said definitely maybe we may or may not get some dev support.
I hate being the troll here but why, why ask this same question that others have and further bloat this forum, when no one knows when a Rom is coming.

We do have "some" dev support or we wouldn't have CWM, root and several mods.
Thank you all who have gotten us this far.

Ok. So i have been away from the form for a couple of weeks (family emergency) and I noticed that some of the dev's are packing up and going to different forums JoelZ9614, ihtfp69. What did I miss?
I'm kinda wondering that too tbh
devs should just ignore the crap and keep doing what they do.
Stuff like this makes me want to stay with CM even more. CM is my first love for custom ROMs and my favorite so far due to it's speed and features and open source model. Since they packed up quietly it just would make you speculate.
I like looking at the front page of Inc development to see what's new. We'll still be seeing new ROM on xda, just from fewer devs.

...What exactly has happened on XDA that we're unaware of? Other than some of the people who use roms being totally immature, they will just follow to the other forums and spam that up. What's the point?

I've Made this thread in par with the [Dev-only] ICS development only thread so that all questions, comments and or even THANKYOUS can be posted here. Please do try and keep this thread alive without any idiocy (spam). DO NOT post in the Dev thread u less u have actual development. It doesn't matter how argue-mental the post become as long as it still always is related to ICS. As long as everyone just stops making new threads about ICS.
You may spam ur ICS needs here. Enjoy.
I will update this op with any Information regarding our phone and ICS whenever it comes available.

Alright guys, I should not even be saying anything but Im going to anyway. I know many of you are tired of waiting for ICS and feel like we are the odd man out while everyone else gets a taste of the glory. This is in fact not the case! I'm not going to name names, or comment on anything else, but I will say that development is VERY much alive for this phone. Its also allot closer than any of you think. Trust me, there is a very tallented group of people who are close to making this dream a reality.
Me making a comment in this thread does infact violate what this thread was intented to do and for that I'm sorry. My intention is just to inform you that we too shall taste sweet victory soon. My only request is that we move non-development related questions and comments to the Q&A or general subforum so we can keep this thread clean for future use. I look forward to basking in the sweet taste of a delicious sandwich with all of you very soon

As for you. Read my comment above Mr.negative. If ur running Cm7 or MIUI then u literally just hypocritically commented on yourself. (in a far fetched way) =P

I don't necessarily understand it. I've used ics and it's pretty good, but the roms we currently have in the dev section are really awesome. Yeah, ics has some great tweaks that I look forward to coming to this device, but I'm pretty content and happy with the current roms and development we have. Thanks to all the devs!
I'm sure ICS will be here. No need to show negativity. Just have patience
Im sure they dont want to give us something half done. Wait till they have a stable build then they will drop it.

I'm pretty sure they will release a ICS update for it. The community will more than likely release one first though.

Why jump straight to 5.0? Why not develop what they have a bit more and go for Jelly Bean 4.1?
this poll regards DEVELOPMENT SUPPORT ONLY.
I would like to know whether you feel happy or not with the development support your device got. (compare it to the international gs2 deving, or the att gs2 if that helps to make things easier) Do not read this poll as something that intends to start a flaming war. I am little bit confused which version of the gs3 to keep for myself and since I have not followed what was going on with the tmobile gs2 and the intl gs2 dev forums, I decided to make this thread asking your sincere (hopefully) opinions again vote on the basis of dev support only!

It's up for debate. GS3 hardware is supposed to be standard across all carriers. You shouldn't have a problem. Imo if you want the best value and best data speeds go with tmobile.
I'm unsure what the specs for the international is but I believe they're all the same.

sorry for the confusion. maybe I did not explain myself right. I want an opinion about the dev support only. the specs are something the users know before buying the device. the dev support is something they find out later on once they have bought the device lol and sometimes they are happy but other times they are not. from what I can see you guys had some great devs!
Very happy. We have several great devs, TDJ, and Whitehawkx to name a few. Plus some great themers, foreverloco, and pheonix!! No gripes here!!

The problem is you cant predict that for the GS3 since they are standard across carriers but international is still international. The s2 support isnt comparable because its a totally different fragmentation situation

Unfortunately they are not standard. And yeah intl will always get the best development but nevertheless at the end all you need is 5 good roms. Intl got 20 roms or more but users know that half of them are just a minor modified version of the stock rom.

They are closer than the s2. Its a personal choice, it seems you already know intl-> more devs. Carrier -> more compatible with your network. Nobody can decide for you what to value more.

That's just the rom. Yes there has been talk about getting a dev to help out but its not like its in the title of the thread.
All im trying to do is get someone's attention to help out w/ getting cdma for verizon users to work for that rom.
Obviously no one seems to care to try or they're busy doing something else.
The dev himself is trying to make the CDMA version of it. It says:
CDMA Users: Still working on it.
Also its not that we don't care here, please keep in mind we are down to a couple devs, aero just got married and is moving and if I'm correct, another dev had his dinc2 crap out on him, be patient and someone will help

Nits is also real busy and even stopped developing his own MIUI because of it. He's got a lot to do between UKB for us and working on the Inc4g. I hope he can get some time to work on it though since he probably is the most familiar with MIUI of all the Inc2 devs right now and I really wanna go back to MIUI. But its up in the air.
It just boils down to that we don't have that many developers at the steering wheel of a DINC2 right now. Not like we have 20+ devs.
Sorry of this seems like a smart reply, just how I write and my personality tend to be.
