To anyone shopping around to buy a MicroSd Card...this is a really good deal. Grab it today at BestBuy! This is only good for today 07/19/12! Available instore or online. Regular retail price is $79.99.
Here's the link: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/PNY+Tec...8372338726&skuId=3026197&st=3026197&cp=1&lp=1
Only BestBuy could claim a regular retail price of $80. 32GB Class 10's go for $30 on Amazon all the time.
Wont let me ship it to my house and everyone around me is out of stock.

Might as well buy Samsung 32gb MicroSD class 10 card from Amazon for $30 with free shipping and no tax (for some):
LINK
The only downside is it ships within 3 - 5 weeks (Amazon often overstates their shipping time, however). So if you need this in a hurry, this may not be the best choice for you.
Why go with Samsung over PNY? I have use PNY before and was very happy with the card
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with the PNY card. In this case, you can save a little on tax.
Also the Samsung for $30 is an everyday price on Amazon vs. "one day only" for the PN at best buy.
And earlier today, the Samsung was listed at $27 and in was in stock. Plus, looking at this thread, I see people post positive experience with their Samsung cards. I don't see a lot of PNY (if any) on that thread.
And as you can see in my signature, I don't personally use Samsung card because I use Sandisk
In for 1. Will pick it up on the way home. Amazon prices available locally should be considered a deal.
I bought this on day 1, although it took a week to ship lol The card actually works really good. It transfers pretty fast and havent had any issues with it.
I think I paid $24 though.

Thanks for the info! Picked one up to upgrade my 16gb Patriot.
I'm definitely an online shopper... I have bought (2) 32gb cards off of Woot.com for less than $15 shipped. I don't mind waiting a few days, as the cards usually come really quickly.

I was looking into cheap 32 gb cards and found a website called DHGate, a chinese bulk supplier.
Anyways...

Most likely fake, try ebay instead. At least you will get ebay/paypal protection

I've purchased from them before. There a wholesaler so you're right you have to buy in bulk. There just like Alibaba. Those are only class 2 cards too. I found lowest price 32gb > class 2 for $72 on NewEgg and those others are $188 for 10. I would turn them over for $50 a pop and make a killin'.
Why not make some cash I was thinking the same thing about the battery and charger thread ha ha.

It looks like nothing but headaches from this company. Also looks like most/all stuff is counterfeit.

That's strange. I ordered a bunch of memory from them before and I received it no problem. Of course it takes almost a month to reach you because of customs. I'll make sure not to do business with them again after seeing that. Thanks for the heads up.
I just ordered one of these today:

At best it's an incredible deal. At worst, I find out what it's like to go through the Paypal protection policy.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, however, for $21 and a guarantee from both Ebay and Paypal...you really have nothing to lose.
The model number they quote on the page is the model number of the actual Sandisk chip, though they could have easily pulled that information from the website for their fake product. They also say it is a class 4 (yay!)
I'm thinking of trying them out just for the hell of it!
Anything coming from china is fake. Thats why everything they sell is so cheap. If you think its real then your on crack. Dont buy anything from china.
amazon usually has pretty good deals on sdcardds
Either way, I don't feel I have much to lose at 20 bucks. Even if PayPal falls through, my credit union will refund me outright because it's under 25 bucks and I wouldn't even have to return it.
So how would we be able to tell if this is fake anyway?
I just got mine in the mail. Will update with transfer speeds and impressions once I get home tonight.

If you bought one of those $30 32gb MicroSD cards it is likely fake. It may appear to be 32gb when it is placed in your pc/phone but it will not correctly store data over its true capacity. If you could please use h2testw (google it) and run the full test to verify the authenticity of your card. I bought a Sandisk 32gb MicroSD from expansys and verified it using this program.
I would recommend you guys don't waste money on these cards as counterfeit items are huge in China. 32gb of the memory used inside these cards would probably be close to if not more then the cost you are paying. So apply a little common sense here.
Ive never had any issues with china. Bought a kingston cruzer 200 128gb usb 2.0 drive for 29 dollars and it works as needed. 19 mb/s write speed and 25 read. Its a beast. And yes Ive tested its full capacity on multiple occasions. Works great.
As to your question, I have download your test software (h2testw) and am running it now. Will report when finished.
Initial tests with sdcard test on evo reports it as class 2, 3 mb/s write (not great, but it is large enough to compensate), but still getting a 12 mb/s read.
Once you get over 2gb of stuff on the card report back if the files are broken or not.
I have heard that they show as 32gb, but once you pass 2gb the files become broken, and if you format the card it formats to 2gb.
It's a rip off.
at 9 gb so far on the h2test2 program. no issues.
Where exactly did you order that card from though? Was it the ebay link provided in this thread?
Yeah i know the evo is not Verizon, but they got exclusive rights at this point to sell them, and they have them on sale for 99.00! Best deal i have found so far, and obviously authentic unlike the ones on ebay. Normal price on them is 149.99, so i dont know how long they will be on sale. Supposidly some people buying the droid x's have been getting them for 50.00, but when i asked them, i didnt get any further discount other than sale price
If your not geting the droid x, you cannot get the 32gb micro sd card for $100 in the store. But you can get the 32gb micro sd card online only without the droid x for $100.
Ordered mine 2 hours ago. Overnight shipping free.

It is 32 gb. The item name, description, and sandisk item number all point to 32 gb. If the arrived unit is a 16 gb, just return easily with the invoice/email/whatever. There are no pictures on the conformation or shipping invoice anyways.

Preferably from Amazon as I have prime and it'll deliver quickly.
I'm not looking to spend anything more than $70-80, but obviously I'd love something even cheaper. Anyone have any suggestions or anything?
Speed isn't a concern to me as long as it isn't TOO slow. Probably only using this for music.
I'm an FORMER iPhone guy (had a Nexus One, but not for too long - bought it when it first came out exclusively for T-Mobile's 3G network and I had AT&T.... loved the phone, but couldn't stand Edge) who doesn't have much experience with expandable memory. I don't really know what to look for! Thanks.
Just a laugh for you, but being a former dual iphone family I went into a AT&T store (I wanted a 32GB card then...that moment and locally) and asked if they had any in stock. Salesman rung up my purchase and asked my phone number...I replied I used to be with you guys and switched over to Sprint and sold my etch e sketches.
He replied its ok and off I went.
Granted I paid 150+ then, they are available just about anywhere for the price range you are looking in.
I got a SanDisk. I do recommend however you get one with an SD/micro sd card adapter and USB for microsd as it was so simple to move everything from one card to the other in one shot.
You dont have to have these, just really makes it easy to move all from old card to card in one click.
Here is the the one I got and its $94 and 5 stars by all 4 people at amazon.

With the exception of a few occasional and short lived deals on the Sandisk 32GB, you're not going to find anything less than $70-80 for a legit 32GB MicroSDHC card. Even $70-80 is a better price than you may find at this moment. Fakes are a very common problem -- smaller cards that have been altered to appear to be 32GB, but won't let you write anything more than the 2GB or whatever they really have in them. So even if you think you've found a great deal, be sure it's from a solid seller (and watch out for Amazon marketplace as well). There was a brief deal from Verizon earlier this year, and one from Sandisk direct a month or so ago that made it available for $50 and $57 respectively, but those are rare.
This Kingston is the card I have. It's sold out in this packaging from newegg right now, but I bought it for about $87 a couple months ago. Prior to sellout, it was going for $95.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139391
This appears to be the same card in different packaging (full size SD adapter instead of a small USB microSDHC reader), and it's also $95:
http://www.adorama.com/KGSDMC432GB.html
As far as I know, the Sandisk and the Kingston are the only legit 32GB microSD cards on the market right now. I haven't looked in the last month or so, but that was the case when I looked a few months ago. But there are also fakes sold as those brands, so be very cautious on any deal that looks too good to be true. Odds are very high it is.
I'm waiting for a steal of a deal on one of these 32GB cards also... my 16GB one is almost done for
I've been looking and waiting for a deal on one as well. My best advice would be to register on a site like slickdeals.net, setup an email alert for 32gb micro sd, and wait for a deal.
Here is a class 4 from Kingston for $105. This is the one I'm getting.
Or, even better, here's a thread about the 32GB Class 10 by Lexar for nearly the same price. Some of the links provided are even cheaper!
I got one off E-Bay for about $55 and it works fine.
Edit: Also check this out. I don't know if the code is still good or not. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=852567
Personally, my advise would be to stay away from Ebay. I got 3 counterfeit cards there in the last couple of months. I got refunds for them all, but shipping one of them to China set me back about $25, and in each case I had to open a dispute before they'd provide me a refund. Now I'm trying to decide if I've got the money to splurge on a legit card in the $90 range, or if I'm going to wait and hope they come down in the next couple of months. No more eBay for me!

Click the link for new to change suppliers. It's from Amazon. Slight delay. I can wait
I suggest waiting...
May I suggest to you to wait?
Reason I say is I have been watching the 64 gb SD's there for a week and they have already dropped a $10 spot...and that isn't even including the Amazon ones.
I would be willing to bet that in 2-4 weeks (the lead time listed for that %59 choice) that you may just see the price break $50!
This is the advantage I have as I wait for my SIII from Verizon...I have the option to wait for these types of things.
But the opposite result may also be possible. I'm not saying it will but once everyone starts actually receiving their devices here in the US, demand for such items may...may...negate that anticipated result at least in the very, very near term. I've seen a car dock do that recently just on demand generated by just a forum post even as many were buying without their device yet. Just a thought as I could be wrong. Looks like a good deal at least for those of us in the impatient category. moi
Thanks for the link @Muckrak3r!
So far I have missed every sale lately. $60 is what I paid for my sandisk 32gb class 2, so same price for a 64gb class 10 doesn't sound bad. Felt bad not getting the deals and watching the prices of $80-100 and hoping for the next deal. lol
Sigh, anyone notice this? "Usually ships within 2 to 5 weeks. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."

SDSDQY-064G-A11A is a class 6 64GB, while SDSDQUA-064G-A11A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 64GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number.
SDSDQY-032G-U46 is a class 6 32GB, while SDSDQUA-032G-U46A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 32GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number, and the letter A is added. The letter A in this case means Android packaging.
This card is correctly labeled SDSDQUA-064G-U46A, and is class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
UA = class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
A (at the end.) = Android packaging.
If you squint you can read it off the back packaging product image, just above the barcode.

Since it's sourced from Amazon themselves, I have no concern about that. If the Class 6 card shows up (I already got one from the Best Buy deal a few weeks back, that's going in my wife's phone) I will just return it and demand a Class 10 card replacement, since that's what I ordered. Amazon is remarkably AWESOME at sorting out issues like that.
It cost approximate USD 64 from hong kong, around this price there is great demand, so many places are out of stock, if you want it in a rush expect to pay higher price for it.
there are two version of the class 10 available, the first batch and batches afterwards, to tell the differences.
first batch on the actual micro sdxc, not package you will see it labelled mobile ultra.
second batch and onwards it is labelled just ultra
The first batch are faster in both read and write speed.

for most 16Gb is enough, just by adding a 32GB which is really cheap, adds up to approximate 29GB, which is enough for most people.

I've heard some pretty reviews on this...seems like a great deal too! It is a Class 10 with adapter!
Don't know how much they'll cost in US but in UK you can get SanDisk Mobile Ultra 32gb class 10 UHS-1 cards for £18($28.50) including tax and delivery from play.com.
And those Lexar cards really aren't much good really compared to the SanDisk which is probably the best card you can get for a mobile.
Just picked one up, thanks for the heads up!
Also, I wouldn't use play.com to save my life. The reviews about that website scare me to death.
There is something fishy about price matching a sister company. Why are there two stores where the only difference is the colours?

Dont waste your money shopping at Futureshop or Bestbuy. I live in Vancouver and the 2 best computer stores are NCIX and Memory Express. I've read some pretty good reviews on the Lexar....so I'll see how it is...if it isn't that great...its only like $31.xx and I am sure I can use it elsewhere....in a digital camera or something.

I've heard some pretty reviews on this...seems like a great deal too! It is a Class 10 with adapter!

I AM THE ONE who first went to FutureShop in Vancouver and got them to do the initial price match against BestBuy for $27.99. The price match must have registered in the computer for future sales like yours. It was originally a $30 BestBuy 3-day door crasher.
Also, this Lexar MicroSD comes with a USB card reader, not a microSD->SDHC adapter like most other cards come with. This Lexar (a division of Micron) comes with a 10 year warranty.
Reviews say it is a fast card (especially with the card reader) but may have issues with Android, so lets put it to the test and see.
The BestBuy Door crasher sale is (officially) over but here is the link with picture of the USB card reader.

Dont waste your money shopping at Futureshop or Bestbuy. I live in Vancouver and the 2 best computer stores are NCIX and Memory Express. The always have a 32 class 10 micro of one brand or another between 19 and 25 dollars. Every major city has a PC builder store, that is where you will find the latest deals. I have a 32 in all of my devices and can say that there is no difference between Lexar, Adata, Gskill, or SanDisk. They all do the same job at the same speed. Here are some links:

The retail plus has absolutely terrible, scary reviews. Why the hell would you refer us to that?
I'm going to buy the adata one though.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I own one of the retail Plus cards and have had no issues with it what so ever.

The Lexar card that you purchased at Futureshop is also available at Memory Express. Memory Express has an unbeatable price match system. They will beat the price by 25% if the difference where as Bestbuy/FS will only do 10. You could have gotten this card for $22. Not that 5 dollars is a big deal, but keep this store in mind. Especially being how you live in Vancouver, it may save you some bigger $$$ in the future. Nearly a year ago I purchased a RAT 7 mouse from them when BestBuy had a Special offer on it. I got the 109 dollar mouse for 72 after the price beat. They will do limited stock or online only prices also. Their website has a price beat calculator if you care to look. I do not work for them and am not trying to plug them, I just like to see other techies save money.

Thanks - the ME 25% matching is good to know! Certainly could payoff on larger ticket items. I actually got my card for $18 after using a $10 FutureShop gift card I had lying around for over a year, $28- $10 = $18. I live relatively close to a FS, and the drive to the nearest Memory Express (Richmond) would have easily burned $5 in petrol (hopefully not Tar Sands).
As a side note, that RAT 7 gaming mouse I mentioned a few posts back is available for a killer price right now. Memory Express has it for 109 right now while NCIX carries it for 69. Memory Express will price Beat it down to 59. You can do this all online if you are interested. You just need the link to the lower price on NCIX and enter it at checkout via green price check button. Just wanted to point out a good deal. This is a great mouse, and a must have for gamers.
