Sandisk 64 gb uhs1 class 10 $ 59 - Galaxy S III Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WTAJTO?ie=UTF8&ref=aw_bottom_links&force-full-site=1
Click the link for new to change suppliers. It's from Amazon. Slight delay. I can wait

I suggest waiting...
May I suggest to you to wait?
Reason I say is I have been watching the 64 gb SD's there for a week and they have already dropped a $10 spot...and that isn't even including the Amazon ones.
I would be willing to bet that in 2-4 weeks (the lead time listed for that %59 choice) that you may just see the price break $50!
This is the advantage I have as I wait for my SIII from Verizon...I have the option to wait for these types of things.

But the opposite result may also be possible. I'm not saying it will but once everyone starts actually receiving their devices here in the US, demand for such items may...may...negate that anticipated result at least in the very, very near term. I've seen a car dock do that recently just on demand generated by just a forum post even as many were buying without their device yet. Just a thought as I could be wrong. Looks like a good deal at least for those of us in the impatient category. moi
Thanks for the link @Muckrak3r!

So far I have missed every sale lately. $60 is what I paid for my sandisk 32gb class 2, so same price for a 64gb class 10 doesn't sound bad. Felt bad not getting the deals and watching the prices of $80-100 and hoping for the next deal. lol
Sigh, anyone notice this? "Usually ships within 2 to 5 weeks. Ships from and sold by Amazon.com."
Thanks,
-CC

I just went to the final order screen, and with the Free Two-Day shipping through Amazon Prime it has an estimated delivery date of July 25 - August 8. Seems like it ships anywhere from 3-5 weeks.

If you're in the UK, Play has this in stock for £44.39.

Is that one from Play legit?
Has anyone bought that one?
Seems like too good deal

It's from Play themselves, so it is as legit as they come. I've had one on pre-order since it was out of stock for a little while. That was shipped today with free shipping, so will take a couple of days before it arrives probably.

Yeah there is a delivery delay, but the way I see it that gives us several weeks to cancel if a better deal comes across. And in the mean time I can use my Samsung 32gb class 10 card. No biggie.

When does Amazon charge the credit card? Is it immediate, or not until it sources from the location of shipping?

Amazon (and Play, for that matter) charge you on dispatch, not at the time of order.

I can't say or sure, but I still don't see the charge on my card and I put the order in earlier this morning. Seems like they'll charge it later on, most likely right before it gets shipped, but I'll update later today if they do end up charging the card.

Just a heads up, if you look at the part number, this is actually a class 6 card SDSDQUA-064G-U46A ...still a pretty good deal really

Read the reviews, Amazon is shipping/selling the updated class 10 / USH 1, confirmed by most buyers.

SDSDQY-064G-A11A is a class 6 64GB, while SDSDQUA-064G-A11A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 64GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number.
SDSDQY-032G-U46 is a class 6 32GB, while SDSDQUA-032G-U46A is a class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1) 32GB.
Note the Y changes to UA in model number, and the letter A is added. The letter A in this case means Android packaging.
This card is correctly labeled SDSDQUA-064G-U46A, and is class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
UA = class 10 UHS-I (speed class 1.)
A (at the end.) = Android packaging.
If you squint you can read it off the back packaging product image, just above the barcode.

Seems to be the best UK price right now for this card. Amazon UK (itself and vendors) seem to be in the £62+ range for the same card. Play also has another vendor offering the card for around £56 or so.

I ordered last night around 5pm or so CST. Still no charge, they only charge if the item is in-stock and shipping that day or the next. So it could be weeks before the charge hits. Lots of time to cancel. :victory:

Since it's sourced from Amazon themselves, I have no concern about that. If the Class 6 card shows up (I already got one from the Best Buy deal a few weeks back, that's going in my wife's phone) I will just return it and demand a Class 10 card replacement, since that's what I ordered. Amazon is remarkably AWESOME at sorting out issues like that.

It cost approximate USD 64 from hong kong, around this price there is great demand, so many places are out of stock, if you want it in a rush expect to pay higher price for it.
there are two version of the class 10 available, the first batch and batches afterwards, to tell the differences.
first batch on the actual micro sdxc, not package you will see it labelled mobile ultra.
second batch and onwards it is labelled just ultra
The first batch are faster in both read and write speed.

Why you need 64gb for your mobile..?
I think 16gb is enough for me.

for most 16Gb is enough, just by adding a 32GB which is really cheap, adds up to approximate 29GB, which is enough for most people.

Avoid the Ebay sellers, the fakes seem to turn into mini coasters in no time. Read here for more info.
There may be other non-fake deals out there, but coupon codes and rebates may be the best avenues to search.
I still don't know why they just don't have sd card slots on phones, I mean you could easily fit them in a phone.

My mistake, Amazon always throws me for a loop with similar deals...but manages to slip full size sdhc cards in there. $149 is the cheapest I have seen for a 32GB MicroSD.
Seems there are not that many out there below $200 from reliable sources. I'd only suggest Ebay if it's someone you've bought from prior and have faith that they're an honest seller.
This looks like a good deal from a reputable company:

Ouch.. I am 95% sure that you just bought a fake. You may want to try to contact San Disk to try to verify authenticity.
Here is a wiki that shows the physical differences between a real card and a fake. If you are able to confirm that the card is fake you may be able to get your $150 back, especially if you paid with a credit card. Although the physical differences are negligible, I have had all three fake Hong Kong sd cards that I bought turn up as duds after 3-6 months of use.
Yeah the fake ones are all over the place due to the hong kong shuffle (where they sell a factory rather than refit it to produce new products). QC goes down but realistically they are the same product. But they do tend to fail and warranties are non-existent, so watch out for that.
But the comment about waiting for a class 6 card... here was my deal. when you read the reviews about the different classes of cards you will find that most of the time the sandisk and really high-end name brand class 2 cards will out perform the cheap class 6 cards. Yeah yeah I know they are given those ratings based on their speeds but in the real world a lot of those class 2 cards will get 8-12mbps speeds in their real world reviews by cnet and others. Just throwing that out there. I myself will stick with class 2 since i couldnt even notice a tiny bit of speed difference in both my hero and evo when switching to class 6 from class 2.

regardless, you should do a check to verify its authenticity. there is a website (in red text and white bg- dunno the name) that you should go see.
DL their software and run it to ensure its not some 8GB hidden with 32GB written on it to cover up.
ummmmm
Ok you can keep spending money on ridiculously overpriced SD cards or you could buy them from Newegg.com I just bought a 32gb Kingston sdhc card Class 6 for 125..... I've bought lots of computer parts from them over the years and they are a great electronic parts site.

I've purchased from them before. There a wholesaler so you're right you have to buy in bulk. There just like Alibaba. Those are only class 2 cards too. I found lowest price 32gb > class 2 for $72 on NewEgg and those others are $188 for 10. I would turn them over for $50 a pop and make a killin'.
Why not make some cash I was thinking the same thing about the battery and charger thread ha ha.

That's strange. I ordered a bunch of memory from them before and I received it no problem. Of course it takes almost a month to reach you because of customs. I'll make sure not to do business with them again after seeing that. Thanks for the heads up.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, however, for $21 and a guarantee from both Ebay and Paypal...you really have nothing to lose.
The model number they quote on the page is the model number of the actual Sandisk chip, though they could have easily pulled that information from the website for their fake product. They also say it is a class 4 (yay!)
I'm thinking of trying them out just for the hell of it!
Anything coming from china is fake. Thats why everything they sell is so cheap. If you think its real then your on crack. Dont buy anything from china.
amazon usually has pretty good deals on sdcardds
Either way, I don't feel I have much to lose at 20 bucks. Even if PayPal falls through, my credit union will refund me outright because it's under 25 bucks and I wouldn't even have to return it.
So how would we be able to tell if this is fake anyway?

If you bought one of those $30 32gb MicroSD cards it is likely fake. It may appear to be 32gb when it is placed in your pc/phone but it will not correctly store data over its true capacity. If you could please use h2testw (google it) and run the full test to verify the authenticity of your card. I bought a Sandisk 32gb MicroSD from expansys and verified it using this program.
I would recommend you guys don't waste money on these cards as counterfeit items are huge in China. 32gb of the memory used inside these cards would probably be close to if not more then the cost you are paying. So apply a little common sense here.
Ive never had any issues with china. Bought a kingston cruzer 200 128gb usb 2.0 drive for 29 dollars and it works as needed. 19 mb/s write speed and 25 read. Its a beast. And yes Ive tested its full capacity on multiple occasions. Works great.
As to your question, I have download your test software (h2testw) and am running it now. Will report when finished.
Initial tests with sdcard test on evo reports it as class 2, 3 mb/s write (not great, but it is large enough to compensate), but still getting a 12 mb/s read.
Once you get over 2gb of stuff on the card report back if the files are broken or not.
I have heard that they show as 32gb, but once you pass 2gb the files become broken, and if you format the card it formats to 2gb.
It's a rip off.
at 9 gb so far on the h2test2 program. no issues.
Where exactly did you order that card from though? Was it the ebay link provided in this thread?

I just bought the same one! You can get 10 dollars off (to make it $39.99) if you buy it with a new account. Use the promo code NEWCUSTOMER10. You have to add something small to the order to get it over 50. I went to Newegg gear and added a Newegg wristband, as it was the cheapest item with free shipping.
I wouldn't buy any cards off Ebay. There's as much incentive to sell rigged cards as there is demand for high capacity. My roommate just bought a 32 GB off Ebay and he got lucky. Make sure that the seller offers returns and when you get it immediately run h2testw.
I just have one question for the OP..
Are you feelin lucky?

My wife and I picked up Patriot sd's from Micro Center... I think they were $39 they work pretty awesome. Price wasnt bad at all compared to online prices. it seems like it is luck of the draw on the Generic ebay ones so we stayed away from those.
Fakes are extremely common for flash memory on ebay, especially on any kind of "OMG WHAT A DEAL!" type of things. The fakes are usually a 2GB card that's had a 3 painted on it in front of the 2, and hacked firmware to make it appear to be 32. But when you try to fill it, it won't let you, because it's still just a 2GB card.
Basically, if it's substantially below the going rate from reputable sources (looks to be roughly $60-80), you're going against probably 80-90% odds that you'll get a fake.
I made the mistake of buying one and I can put 32 gb worth in info on there but when I put it in the phone it can't access it.
I wouldn't buy from anyone but a trusted source and right now I wouldn't buy one for less than about $50.00.
In a year or two they'll be going for $25.00, but right now anything that cheap is bound to be a fake that doesn't actually hold anywhere near 32GB.

It's legit, not like the fakes on Ebay. Google it. You will find out the truth. Even if you pay near to the going price, you run the risk of getting a fake. IMHO, it's just not worth the hassle.

The $50 one was for a class 6, which I picked up.
I haven't seen anything that low for class 10
Is class 10 really necessary? Will you notice the increased speed at all?
I doubt it, normally the sandisk are higher then any other, like the samsung class 10 shows 13meg/sec and the class 6 sandisk lists as 30meg/sec...Sure if you run a special test it might show faster, but for absolutely anything these phones can do, no I will put money nobody would ever notice

For music? Not really. May take a little longer to copy music to the card.
Photos? If you're using the rapid shot then yes.

This is exactly why I want the fastest card available. I often move GBs of music around between the phone, external hard drives, and my laptop. Hopefully a class 10 card will make it as fast as possible.
for anyone looking for deals go to
http://slickdeals.net/
easy way to keep track of deals.
http://www.techbargains.com is a good one as well.

Class 10 for music?
I got absolutely zero replies at this post, but I plan to try a Class 10. I don't know what class that Sandisk is, but the pkg said it did 20MB/sec. Class 10 is 10. So I don't know what to think.

Is that 20MB read speed or write speed?
Class 10 is 10MBsec write. Read speeds are generally double of what the write speed.
Have used a variety of "class" uSD cards in various items for a while. For me, the "sweet spot" for read/write speed and data transfer integrity is Class 6. And stay with trusted known brands from reputable sources. For me that's SanDisc IMHO.
Bought a 64GB Class 6 on Amazon for my SGT7.7 for $70....dealer sent a Class 10 claiming a better deal. After I explained why I wanted to RMA for a Class 6.....they swapped me without question.
YMMV

You think class 6 is better than class 10? Why exactly?

Might as well buy Samsung 32gb MicroSD class 10 card from Amazon for $30 with free shipping and no tax (for some):
LINK
The only downside is it ships within 3 - 5 weeks (Amazon often overstates their shipping time, however). So if you need this in a hurry, this may not be the best choice for you.
Why go with Samsung over PNY? I have use PNY before and was very happy with the card
I'm not saying that there's anything wrong with the PNY card. In this case, you can save a little on tax.
Also the Samsung for $30 is an everyday price on Amazon vs. "one day only" for the PN at best buy.
And earlier today, the Samsung was listed at $27 and in was in stock. Plus, looking at this thread, I see people post positive experience with their Samsung cards. I don't see a lot of PNY (if any) on that thread.
And as you can see in my signature, I don't personally use Samsung card because I use Sandisk
In for 1. Will pick it up on the way home. Amazon prices available locally should be considered a deal.
I bought this on day 1, although it took a week to ship lol The card actually works really good. It transfers pretty fast and havent had any issues with it.
I think I paid $24 though.

+1 :highfive:
Exactly what i was thinking.
Thanks for the info! Picked one up to upgrade my 16gb Patriot.
I'm definitely an online shopper... I have bought (2) 32gb cards off of Woot.com for less than $15 shipped. I don't mind waiting a few days, as the cards usually come really quickly.

I'm a brand whore. Samsung = OEM. Matches the phone. Dumb logic and I usually spend more than I should, but it helps me sleep at night. Lol.
