When I try to pull down the notification bar nothing happens,
I used an app to test and it seems that it is the fault of the touch screen
I tried an reset but it didn't work
Need some suggestions the warranty is over so what should I do

If you are on cm7,you can have status bar at the bottom of the screen, that would help if that portion of the screen is working.

Agreed with Wasimk32..
Even I had the same problem.. so got the notification bar at the bottom..
But luckily my upper portion of the screen started responding automatically.. dont know how..

Hey guys, wondering if anyone has this problem (happen to a brand new unrooted phone, and also rooted phone too, on two ET). After a call, the status bar on the top remains green (as if you multitask while in a car and the notification bar is glowing green). This basically freezes your phone as you cannot make a call or end the call and have to do a reset. Did anyone encounter this?
Mine did that a couple of times. i just pulled bar down ans hit end from there.

Had this happen to me many times before I went to sprint to have them reactivate my phone, basically it happens when you lose service and try to make a call
SORRY FOR SUCH A LONG MESSAGE BUT PLZ TRY TO HELP>>>
the problem is.. black screen!!(but status bar visible,so not a hardware problem i think) for example...when i opened settings, black screen appeared(status bar visible) and nothing was visible until i touched or slide my finger on the screen..after sliding my finger on the screen, display appeared and worked normally..in adition to this some apps also didn't worked after that...i tryed to change the theme coz i thought it to be a theme related problem...on changing it to stock theme,it got even more worst
thiss time screen showed display but screen image/projection remained still(snapshot) but the touch worked properly...let me explane:- on the lock screen when i slide the bar to unlock the screen, the screen showed no movement of the bar but on completing the slide it unlocked the phone...so its like, things are happning but i cant see them now after rebooting all problem gone but it occours frequently after some time(1day or so) to get rid of this i reflashed the rom but after a while this black/still screen occours again... HELP!!
Hi! Maybe this has been asked before, but I couldn't find it when I searched the forum.
Yesterday I downloaded and installed an update for my Note II, now showing 4.1.1.
After this, a half round "button" appeard on my left side of the screen. Touching this, a menu/side panel appeared.
Today my phone rebooted, and this side panel was gone.
I don't think I have made any adjustements or changed any settings, but the phone was in my pocket when it restarted and I could have done something without knowing.
Can anyone tell me where in the settings I enable/disable this?

Press the back button for 2 seconds and you will see the sidebar. Not costumisable unless you are rooted
Press and hold your back button. ..

I am having something weird happen that I never noticed before. Just completely reflashed it and it is still doing it. D850 (att) just FYI.
Basically the issue is this. If you leave certain apps running (phone, messaging, settings) and it locks...when you next unlock it, the status bar at the top has a white background ever so briefly before it goes to the color it is supposed to be. It seems timed along with the drawing of the nav bar at the bottom. I never noticed it before but it is kind of bugging me. I'm pretty sure this is a new thing.
Steps to reproduce:
Open the stock phone app.
Lock the phone
Unlock
Stare at the status bar.
Does it turn white before going to the color it is supposed to be?
Not every app does it. I was rooted and running tweaksbox before. I just reflashed and it still seems to be happening.
I certainly allow for the possibility that I just never noticed it before.

Same here but not if I just use the knock code to unlock. If I use the power button to go to the lock screen and then use the knock code it happens. 855 btw
Never noticed that, but yep flashes white from locked. Damn how can I unsee that
Mine doesn't flash any color. It just stays the same.
Mine did the same thing, ive hidden the notification bar and it stopped.
I have Verizon and it does it also.

How did you do this? What does this do exactly. Keep icons from showing at the top? Do you still have the notifications panel? (Pull down shade from the top)
Mine does this too (10h rooted with g3 tweaksbox); ive noticed it does it whilst the 'battery circle + value' is still loading, so i take it its the amount of time the cpu needs to properly render it.
It's under a second so it doesn't bug me.

Yes just hide the icons up top, on screen options you can do it

Hi gents, I think I found solution, it bugged me before and I had circle case so when I turned off use circle case in settings it stopped.. I think that's it.. Cheers!
So i just got my phone back from service. I had a white spot on the screen. They fixed it by replacing the motherboard. It'll all fine and dandy right there. But i noticed i could not pull down the notification bar in potrait mode. While switching to landscape it works. This sounds like a hardware issue but im not sure. Is there a way to test the screen?... if a move a widget to the top of the screen from my homescreen. The screen detects it's up there.. so i guess the touch is ok?
The service took about 4 weeks so i hope i don't have to send it in again
I've tried resetting the phone (clean install)
UPDATE: Sent it back for another 4 weeks of service..
Hello
To make a touch screen test follow these steps:
1- open the phone dialer and dial this number *#*#3421#*#*
2- Choose accept, that will take you to a hardware test page
3- Choose touch screen line draw test.
Thank you
i have the same issues its software and gets fixed automatically
but there should be a solution
I just received my brand new HTC 10 today and I have the exact same problem as you.
I am unable to pull the notifications bar after I unlocked the phone in portrait mode. However I can pull the notifications bar while the phone is still locked AND when the phone is unlocked and rotated to landscape mode.
I have tried factory resetting my phone and upgrading to the latest software but the problem still persists.
What should I do?
Anyone solved this problem?

It's a screen issue. Do a line sensor test from the help app
