the problem is.. black screen!!(but status bar visible,so not a hardware problem i think) for example...when i opened settings,black screen appeared(status bar visible) and nothing was visible until i touched or slide my finger on the screen..after sliding my finger on the screen,display appeared and worked normally..in adition to this some apps also didn't worked after that...i tryed to change the theme coz i thought it to be a theme related problem...on changing it to stock theme,it got even more worst
thiss time screen showed display but screen image/projection remained still(snapshot) but the touch worked properly...let me explane:- on the lock screen when i slide the bar to unlock the screen,the screen showed no movement of the bar but on completing the slide it unlocked the phone...so its like,things are happning but i cant see them now after rebooting all problem gone but it occours frequently after some time(1day or so) to get rid of this i reflashed the rom but after a while this black/still screen occours again... HELP!!

I just installed Abduction ICS v1.8 today and it was working really fine and great, until I got this Phone Activation thing going on and the worst part was every time that happens my screen goes blank and the only thing left was the top part of the screen (signal,battery,wifi) Any one having the same problem or is it just me? Need help please. I already tried to restart it but the same thing happens activation screen > screen goes blank.
edited: saw something it says "ON HOLD" but most of the screen is still blank not the top though.
The top of the screen where the notification bar is is unresponsive...sort of. It registers touch like normal, except it thinks I am touching the screen about half a centimeter below where I am actually touching it. This is only present in the status bar area. Also, it is probably not a software issue as I have wiped the phone and installed other roms and kernels since the problem came up. Also, what's strange is that every now and then, it will just start working like normal again, and then stop after a while.
As a work around, you can use a custom launcher (adw, go, apex) which has homescreen swipe gestures and use something like "swipe down" to access the notification bar. If you notice this issue impedes your everyday use, swipe gestures are probably your best solution.

I'd like to ask yu for advice - since few days I saw a problem with my HOX. Randomly I cannot unlock the screen - ring on the screen cannot be moved over the icons to unlock the screen. Entering Settings from upper slide bar and closing it helps to unlock it. Then I saw, that sometimes screen is shaking, some applications are starting, like the icons were touched, but they weren't physically. It like I wrote - random. It appears few times daily.
Can it be that I have to swap touch screen or problem is somewhere else?
Phone is rooted, with latest Android Revolution ROM on it.

I couldn't find a similar thread which would help me so I'm posting here. Recently my one x seems to have two lock screens. First one is like you have to slide left to 'camera' and right to unlock, then another one appears which I already know from when my android updated to sense5 where you have to grab the wee padlock icon and slide it upwards. I looked everywhere but couldn't find it in settings. I decided to go for 'no lock screen' option but then sometimes that weird first lockscreen appears and sometimes not. I don't want to risk pocket dial and stuff but having to unlock the screen twice is a bit of a nuisance. I tried custom apps from play store but that first lock screen is still there sometimes and sometimes not. HELP!!!
So i've been using teamcanjica's CM11 for a few months ... And lately i had a problem that sometimes when i press the power button to unlock the screen ,the scren never turns on .. Only the backlights (if i managed to unlock the screen it shows a "lockscreen has stopped working" or sth) ..however today i removed my pattern security and set the slider .. And now even when i turn on the phone the lockscreen freezes and i get to my homescreem but without a notification bar and nothing responds ! Now i can't use my phone ... Is there a way to fix this without having to do a factory reset ?
Should flashing cm10 do the trick ?
