I bought G Pro day before yesterday. The device is amazing and i love it but i have got a small problem. First day i charged battery to 100% and i got a day usage with 25% of brightness set with screen on time for about a little less than 4 hours which is amazing. Yesterday i had to charge phone twice because the battery depleted within 2 hours on screen time and moderate usage like calls n text (no gaming). Today morning 80% power was left of second charge. I went to college and and did not use the phone much but battery got completely depleted within 1 hour of screen on time at 50% brightness. When i came home back i charged the phone to 100%, when i disconnected charger from phone the charge dropped immediately to 98%. After 3 mins it fell to 93% and now is depleting fast. there is no apps running in background or anything and no apps showing up in battery stats that may be depleting battery. Any solutions to this? can it be faulty battery? Plz Help!!!
Edited: viber or whatsapp was causing this battery drain. I rooted my phone n installed greenify. Hibernating all user apps fixed the battery drain. If anyone has battery drain issue may try this solution.
I was on root 4.1.2 and I removed it to upgrade to 4.3
Usually I drain my battery to 10% or so and then turn off my phone to charge it to full at least once a month. This time around it was different, the moment I plug in the charger the battery charge indicator jumps to 50% or so.
I unplugged it and turned on my phone and the % on the battery was 50%.
What was also weird was that the battery lasted as would at 50%
and it has been like that ever since as long as I charge my phone when turned off.
Charging with phone on isn't a problem.

Hello XDA. So, my phone's battery lasts only 4 hours if I don't use it. Last night I did the steps for reseting the battery stats (Ensured it was completely empty to 0%, charged it to 100% while it was off, powered it on, unpluged power cable, dropped immediately to 97%, plugged back in, let it charge for another 2 hours to be shure it was 100%, deleted battery stats file and unplugged the cable), and today it's still the same... Bonus to this problem, it comes another one. If the phone is on WCDMA/GSM(Auto), when it drops under 75% the signal drops too. If I switch it to GSM only, it's ok untill 30% max. Bellow that, if I try to make a call, phone app freezes and the phone shuts down. I have official 4.4.2 rooted on N7105 LTE 4G. What should I do..? Thanks in advance.
My model is Lenovo P2 P2a42 with 4/32Gb. Manufactured 2016-12-24. I recently purchased it.
It came fully discharged, it could not turn on before charging.
All my experiments I have tried with the firmwares:
P2a42_S048_161111_ROW_fastboot with Android 6.0.1
P2a42_S233_170404_ROW_fastboot with Android 7.0
The result is the same with any firmware.
After the firmware is always doing a full reset.
I do not install any programs.
There are no SIM cards and SD card in the device. WLAN, Bluetooth, NFC, Location are turned off, Airplane mode is turned on.
When the device is turned off or in standby mode, the battery is discharged by 10% in 8 hours.
For example, I did so. Turned off the device, put on charging, charged up to 100%, after that charged for a few more hours, turned off the charging, the device turned off. After charging did not turn on the device. After 2 days and 17 hours I turned on the device.
The battery was 20%. This corresponds to 10% for 8 hours.
The battery is also discharged 10% in 8 hours in standby mode.
I think that in both modes the reason for the fast discharge of the battery is the same. And I think that for the same reason the device came completely discharged.
I have tried video playing without pause for 13 hours 18 minutes. The battery was discharged from 100% to 37%, total 63%, which is very good. As I understand, the battery is good.
On another forum I was given such a recommendation:
"Try to calibrate the Battery first. To calibrate the battery, press and hold the Power button until the screen goes dark, about 7-10 seconds. When the screen goes dark, release the Power button and the phone will automatically reboot. Plug the phone in and let it charge overnight, using only the charger that came in the box with the phone. This process will reset the battery table and allow the phone to calibrate overnight."
What have I done.
The device was turned on and the charge was 20%.
I calibrated the Battery as recommended. The device was rebooted.
The charge was 18% when I connected the charging.
I plugged the it for 8 hours 10 minutes. Was quick charge with two zippers.
Then I turned charger off. Was 100%.
And I turned off the device.
After 6 hours 25 minutes, I turned on the device. It was 99%.
Then I pressed the power button and put the device into the standby mode.
After 8 hours 20 minutes, I pressed the power button to wake up. It was 79%.
Then I turned off the device.
After 34 (24+10) hours 30 minutes, I turned on the device. It was 28%.
I still would not like to contact the warranty service.
Can anyone say anything more on this issue?
Hello.I have htc 10 from year and 4months.Never had a problems with the battery before.Usually i charge it to 100% before i go to sleep and in the night without using the phone have 93-94% in the morning when i wake up.But this morning i woke up and saw 25% 75% battery drain without using.Every time after when i using phone i delete all of the recently apps. Before 35min i charge the phone do 100% again and after 35min without even touch the phone i have 93%.I checked the apps that drain most and its this - System - 6%, Mobile networkk 2% and Phone idle - 1% and everything other 0%.
I never let down the battery to 0% to turn of the phone.Maximum 5 times my battery was lower than 15% and never used Power saver modes.Always with the last official software. Can this be a problem of the battery and can the warranty fix that battery issue ?
I tried the fix from this theme but dont see any improvment. Also i noticed that when the phone is on the charger, the phone says - "16min to full charge".I leave the phone and after 10min i look onto it and it - "14min to full charge". After another 10min - "12min to full charge."
