Big battery drain from last night - HTC 10 Questions & Answers

Hello.I have htc 10 from year and 4months.Never had a problems with the battery before.Usually i charge it to 100% before i go to sleep and in the night without using the phone have 93-94% in the morning when i wake up.But this morning i woke up and saw 25% 75% battery drain without using.Every time after when i using phone i delete all of the recently apps. Before 35min i charge the phone do 100% again and after 35min without even touch the phone i have 93%.I checked the apps that drain most and its this - System - 6%, Mobile networkk 2% and Phone idle - 1% and everything other 0%.
I never let down the battery to 0% to turn of the phone.Maximum 5 times my battery was lower than 15% and never used Power saver modes.Always with the last official software. Can this be a problem of the battery and can the warranty fix that battery issue ?

I tried the fix from this theme but dont see any improvment. Also i noticed that when the phone is on the charger, the phone says - "16min to full charge".I leave the phone and after 10min i look onto it and it - "14min to full charge". After another 10min - "12min to full charge."

[Q] Froyo 2.2.2 battery problem

Hello friends,
I bought a motorola defy yesterday. It is a September 2011 built and came with 2.2.2 froyo. I charged the battery yesterday to 100% used it around 1.5 hrs with Wifi and 3g which brought it to 70%. I then left the phone for about 11 hours and after which the battery was completely discharged and I had to charge it first to switch it on.
Even now after charging completely , it went from 100% to 90% in 17 mins with 8 minutes of mild usage.
Its currents stats are 90% battery 34 minutes since unplugged with
Mobile Standby - 45 %
Phone Idle - 29%
Display - 19%
Android System - 4%
Wi-fi- 2%
com.motorola.home - 2%
please help , what should I do, should I call for a replacement ?
Turn off automatic sync. Turn down screen brightness. Buy a extended battery, which is almost a must with android phones these days.
The first couple of charge - discharge cycles should be ignored. It should start functioning better after that.
If the battery discharge times you mentioned persist, then it's not normal. I usually got 2 days of charge with normal usage when on froyo.
It might be an app which is hogging power. Can you
1. Look at battery usage. In the settings menu and see if any app is drawing excess cpu?
2. Download spare parts from the market and check battery usage?
We may then have some info to help you out.

my device too is plagued with battery issue, 1 day is the max I get with all wifi off/data off/screen auto options. No task killers either.... bought this on aug 2011, still have not been able to to take time out to visit service center.
In my defy battery drop very quickly from 100% to 90%, but rest is all good then. I dont know why too... I tend to discarge battery till shutdow then charge till full, it help.
so i visited the service centre, told them about the battery running on one day w/o gps/data/wifi.
They said they would replace the battery. As it was not in their stock, asked me to check in 3/4 days.
fingers crossed, the new one is not faulty as the current one.

[Q] Plz Help!! Battery issue (fixed for now)

I bought G Pro day before yesterday. The device is amazing and i love it but i have got a small problem. First day i charged battery to 100% and i got a day usage with 25% of brightness set with screen on time for about a little less than 4 hours which is amazing. Yesterday i had to charge phone twice because the battery depleted within 2 hours on screen time and moderate usage like calls n text (no gaming). Today morning 80% power was left of second charge. I went to college and and did not use the phone much but battery got completely depleted within 1 hour of screen on time at 50% brightness. When i came home back i charged the phone to 100%, when i disconnected charger from phone the charge dropped immediately to 98%. After 3 mins it fell to 93% and now is depleting fast. there is no apps running in background or anything and no apps showing up in battery stats that may be depleting battery. Any solutions to this? can it be faulty battery? Plz Help!!!
Edited: viber or whatsapp was causing this battery drain. I rooted my phone n installed greenify. Hibernating all user apps fixed the battery drain. If anyone has battery drain issue may try this solution.

A weird battery problem - Instant 50%

I was on root 4.1.2 and I removed it to upgrade to 4.3
Usually I drain my battery to 10% or so and then turn off my phone to charge it to full at least once a month. This time around it was different, the moment I plug in the charger the battery charge indicator jumps to 50% or so.
I unplugged it and turned on my phone and the % on the battery was 50%.
What was also weird was that the battery lasted as would at 50%
and it has been like that ever since as long as I charge my phone when turned off.
Charging with phone on isn't a problem.

HTC 10 battery issues

Hi everyone, I am running HTC 10 marshmallow stock rom (My country doesnt have nougat update yet) and I faced some problem with the battery recently. I went to travel in iceland for about 2 days, and after i came back I realised a rapid drain in the battery power even during idle.
Below are a few tests that I carried out,
1. I charged my phone to full and carried out the default battery test by typing *#*#3424#*#*. The results was 6% of battery drain with screen on for 1 hour at maximum brightness in airplane mode. From the htc 10 customer service team, they said this shows that the battery wasnt faulty ( The battery is faulty if battery % drop below 70% in an hour).
2. Then i switch to safe mode to check if it was the background apps that causes the problem, even worst, the battery over night in extreme power saving mode was dropped by about 40%. I factory reset the phone.
3. The next day I do the same thing as (2), but this time with airplane mode, the battery drained over night still about 40%.
The battery usage from GSAM apps shows nothing unusual going on in the background at night.
I have to charge my phone at least twice, once before i sleep and once after i woke up, i sleep average of 7 hours a day.
My question is, since its not battery issue, after i factory reset the phone this problem shouldnt persist, can somebody explain to me before i decide whether to send in for repair? Sorry if the thread was repeated.
Attachments below shows the batter drained
This is the battery reduction graph during safe mode tests
There must be a rouge app running somewhere.
Your phone doesn't seem to be "sleeping" at all.
It's whatever is causing the extremely high (100%) awake time, that is causing your battery to drain so quick.
Would be helpful if you could send a screenshot of the main stats page on gsam. Example below: (from my M9)

Battery problem

So my phone is always saying that its battery is at 1%. When it charges, it charges up to 100%, then quickly drops to ~50% in 3 or 4 mins of use, then immediately dropping at 1%. It isn't the battery because after rebooting, the phone stays at 1% for some time then again it shuts itself down. Is there any way to just ignore the battery % so it won't auto shut down?
Battery jump to 1%
I have same problem. After full charge (100%) the phone is started and than the battery indicator jumped to 1%. After that I switched off the phone and fully recharged again. Unplug the phone and start. The battery indicator show 1% again. After that switch off ... full recharge to 100% .. unplug .. switch on the phone ... jump to 1% again .... Calibration is not solved this problem. If I using the phone for youtube, browsing .. etc., it working for 5-10 minutes and after that battery indicator jump to 0% and the phone switch off. It will simple restart and I can use it for 5-10 minutes again. It working so cca. hours before it fully discharging. It's have new battery and new charging panel.
