So far I've run into a few snags with some apps, and I'm just wondering if you all have run into the same.
Facebook: Force Closes everytime I try to update a status.
HBOGO: Force Closes during video playback, after HBO logo and such.
Rooted GSIII, Stock rom
I am having problems with Tapatalk paid and xda premium. They get stuck and force close when I pm.

I am having issues with Vlingo. App closes when trying to enter InCar mode.
Opera browser locks up and/or closes when I try to watch flash videos (especially on Steams website)
I have had Google tracks FC on me once or twice.
Angry Birds Rio locks up quite frequently.
I am on Verizon, rooted (route 66) and have tried reinstalling apps and fix permissions, no improvement yet

Facebook would do the same on ICS on my Vibrant and does it on this phone too.

Haven't paid much attention to FB lately. I dont use HBOGO a lot, but when I do fire it up it seems to work fine.

I'm really starting to hate this. For the past month or two no matter what rom I use the browser always crashes without force closing. It'll just close. It happens at least 10 times a day. I'll be opening a link off twitter to androidpolice and it closes. Or I'll be on killsometime and it'll closes. It happens to all browsers, stock and 3rd party apps. Has anyone had this problem? It's really crippled my internet use on my phone. One of the big reason why I went to IOS a week ago but I'm back now. I'm kinda thinking of going back because of that reason alone.
Did you try fixing permissions
Nope. Will now. I'll report back.

I'm not too savvy with fixing permissions with root explorer. I usually use the fix permission option in rom manager
Tonight I was trying to watch some videos on YouTube. I was able to watch some videos, but others force close as soon as I click on the video. It seems to be specific channels, but I can't say for sure. I tried clearing the cache and data with no success. I backed up the app with Titanium Backup and uninstalled and tried to download from the market but it doesn't show up for the Nexus (or my Xoom running or ICS so I guess its an ICS thing).
When I tried to restore with titanium, it took forever longer than normal and didn't restore the app, it just stayed at the screen saying restoring. I ended up having to restore my nandroid from the other day.
Has anyone had similar issues in YouTube? What about with restoring apps in titanium? I also had similar behavior with titanium earlier today when I tried to integrate the Google Maps update into my system ROm. Titanium stayed in the operation screen for a long time and never seemed to finish. However, after a reboot, it was no longer listing Google maps as an app with an update that could be integrated into the ROM, leading me to believe the operation actually did finish.
Edit: it appears the same videos are crashing YouTube on my Xoom too. Still no idea why the titanium backup issues are happening though.
WAIT ITS NOT JUST ME?
Thank god. I think its a problem on Youtube's end. I can't even get my subbed videos in the Home tab.
It FC when I click on HD videos.
Same thing happening here. The app also does not recognize my subscriptions, but my favorites show up fine.

Yeah FC randomly on me too.. guess YouTube apk needs an update
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
yeh happening to me too
first my subscriptions were gone
then videos were crashing when i was searching for tennis videos (search term was 'wta') and a lot of videos were crashing from that result.
will watch this thread with interest
thanks
Am experiencing the same problem on 4 different mobile (galaxy tablets & phones) devices.
Subcriptions not showing up
Some Videos force closing etc.
All was fine yesterday.
Googled the issues and discovred that Youtube are forcing some changes.
It's happening to me also. First I thought it was a new mod I was testing out but it's also happening on my wife's stock Incredible.
I thought I'd be happier knowing it wasn't just my problem but the truth is, I'd just like to watch some videos.. lol
wow, while it's nice to know it's not my device kirking out, it would be nicer if it would just work. i don't have any solution, so just hoping youtube addresses it soon. maybe this is why youtube app isn't in the market for ics devices--it's not compatible yet. Although I am fairly certain that it was working just a few days ago.
Anyone else seeing Google Maps FC a lot lately? It seems to be related to finding my location (either in Latitude or Maps itself). Sometimes the map tiles won't get drawn, other times it just force closes.
Seeing this on mine (GSM) and my GF's VZW version.
Nop but have you tried clearing the app cache?
Galaxy Nexus Stock + Franco m3
YES! this happens with me too lately! dunno why!
SOLVED for me!
Had the same issue, and this worked for me:

I was experiencing the same thing and chalked it up to a bug so I uninstalled Maps updates and have been refusing to update until a new version comes out.
The fix permissions thing, I feel like that could be risky... I guess I could take a nandroid backup first and then try it.
I am having this problem and I just bought my GSM Nexus from Play Store... Whats wrong with Maps app? Keeps force closing...
STOCK. Not rooted.
Cleared cache and settings in Settings > Apps > Clear.

And the problem continues to this day. I almost wanted to start a new thread, until I stumbled upon this one.
Stock Jellybean JRO03C, rooted, slightly themed (to get rid of gradient background). Maps is at 6.9.2 as shipped with the image, and have not had an update since.
Maps keeps force closing every few hours even when I'm in other apps and have not started Maps myself. FC reports says it's an out of memory exception. This only started after I upgraded to JB; it was fine on all versions of ICS, even when rooted.
I had this issue upgrading from 4.2 to .4 uninstalling the map updates did the trick

Unfortunately I don't have an update I can uninstall.
I have for now restricted it from doing background data and see what happens. Next - block it off using Droidwall; still next - disable it outright...

No one?
DIsabling Maps still doesn't stop it from crashing behind the scenes. :crying:
Sorry this problem is months old. Haven't had it since the update that fixed it.

After installing the new Google Music update from the play store, the app won't open on my xperia play at all (white screen to force close). Checked store comments and there's at least one other xp user with the same problem. Anyone here experiencing this? If so, is there a fix? I've got an R800x with stock rooted 2.3.3

I'm having the same problem. R800at. It worked for a little bit after update but it seemed to crash once i tapped my account and it (presumably) started to download my data from the server. After that, it just forces close every time I started it.
I downgraded back to the last good version:

Yeah, mine crashes the same way. Anyone know if other devices are reporting this or just xplay? It really sucks because I depend on Google Music so much
I purchased two of the 64GB versions (Wife and I) and really like them, however both Spotify and Rhapsody immediately force close as soon as you open them.
Is anyone else having the same issue?
Walkamo
Are you updates to the latest version?

Yep.. Both apps are updated but both force close..... Spotify crashes on launch and Rhapsody force closes after first login and then crashed on launch.............
Really annoying, but hopefully they will fix it soon...

I hope they fix it too.

Spotify works fine for me on a 64g ZE551ml. Make sure you are on the latest ROM, supposedly the last update or two fixed some application compatibility issues.
