As the title says, my HTC One V restarts/reboots once i open the Calendar or the Calendar Widget. What should I do?

disable weather sync from calendar
its a known issue
Sent from my HTC One V
Thank you. I think it works.
Calendar reboots the phone as soon as i open it,
Hi,
Thanks for the answer, however mine reboots almost as soon as you open the calendar.
Can you think of any workaround so i can get in to switch off weather sync?
Thanks again for your help.

hm, well I had that disabled, so I disabled syncing for the moment and using calendar stopped causing reboot... but it's not nice solution

Not working for me. I have set Display Weather to None but still it reboots within 10 seconds of launching the Calendar app
I find that phone very buggy... calendar reboots, hotmail syncing problem, red colour problem with camera, autofocus sux; those are not huge problems but still very annoying
Just go to Settings > Accounts and Sync.. just do a sync all... click the icon at the top right corner.. it works.. it worked for me. I didnt disable the weather.. please let me know if it helped.
Happen to me too...
When I open Calendar Apps and click today tabs
suddenly reboot

Hi guys,
Just noticed that Skins & Wallpapers have been added to the online HTC Hub. Thought I'd share it with you all, as there doesn't seem to be any other posts on it here.
Quite annoyed, I must say. Rather than adding any new Skins that have just converted the old ones... again! Ah well, I'm rocking the 'Music Lover' skin as we speak, actually seems to run smoother than the pre-installed skins, worth a butcher's

I downloaded music lover skin and I'm impressed but not just by the colors, In the lock screen the pull ring has no lag, I had lag on the previous stock skin.
It's really smooth.
Thanks for the tip.

No problemo. I know what you mean about the colours, but they certainly grow on me. I've been using Music Lover since the Desire HD days

If you enable "force gpu rendering" disable it and restart the phone. After that it should work, it worked for me.
I'm using Calengoo and syncing with Google Calendar. I was getting two audio notifications when it's time for a notification to go off. I've frozen the built in calendar function with Titanium Backup and that solved the double notification sound problem. Am I likely to see any problems after doing this? Are there any functions etc. that depend on the default calendar app?
Thanks for any info on this.
Can I ask why you didn't just go into the Calendar settings and turn off notifications?

On Stock ICS 4.0.4, I cannot even find my original calendar. I may have deleted it entirely. I use CalenGoo as well. But with TiB, you cannot freeze "Calendar Storage" or your dates will disappear. Other than that, you should be good.

I just unfroze it and turned off notifications so thanks for the suggestion. When I add an app that replaces a stock app (using Calengoo instead of stock Calendar in this case) I like to "get rid" of the original app if possible. I don't know that there's any kind of savings in memory or cpu cycles, but to me it's like taking the un-used china and putting it into a closet rather than wasting space in the kitchen for something I'm not using. Also it doesn't show up and get selected by accident. But there's always that chance that something else in the system depends on it so I posted my original question. I can say that while it was frozen, nothing else seemed to be affected. However, like a later poster in this thread, I did find that freezing calendar storage caused problems.
I tend to freeze any apps that do not need to be available to reduce ram consumption especially if the app is preloaded into ram at boot time. Also, this will speed up the boot process as well. Keeps my app drawer less congested too.
was able to get everything synched when on stock unrooted rom,but yesterday i unlocked bootloader, rooted and reinstalled all apps successfully, now facebook friendstream will not update, can't get authorization for facebook, see screenshots

any help on this would be very much appreciated
Normally the best thing to do is clear facebook data and log in again, if that doesn't work then uninstall/reinstall.

tried all that m8,endlessly searching on google, nothing works, many people have the same problem even with different phones, beginning to think it's a problem @facebook's end, have installed Android Pro Widgets, logged in no probs.
Would still like to find a solution though
Having the exact same issue here. Tried every solution that i've found, needless to say nothing worked.
Something i have found out is that if i use my girlfriends account, or any other account except my own, there are absolutely no issues.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So did you manage to find a fix, or did you just setup a new account? Because i have tried mostly everything, but i still have the issue.
This hasn't worked for me for ages, but a little work around:
Open the Facebook app until it asks for access.
Minimize app
Login to facebook on browser.
Minimize browser, and go back to facebook app.
This usually allows the app to login for me

Three are lots of good alternative email apps. A few to look at are Cloud Magic, TypeMail, and Mailwise. I. Have tried all three of these with my corporate Exchange account and they work fine.

thanks, i reached out to them.
figured it out, it's because of 2 step authentication. since asus is not using the "new" login method for Microsoft, it doesn't try at all to attempt 2 step authentication so it fails. disable 2 step in security and app works now. add 2 step back and app still works.
I use outlook.com for my emails, phone book etc. Everything was fine with my contacts on my phone, I had all the small avatars for myself and all my contacts. I've got a big problem since MS updated me to their new style Outlook.com.
All my contacts Avatars have gone and I seem to have every contact in my phone from Facebook even though I have only chosen 'Outlook' in the settings. More annoyingly I have about 300 'Unnamed' contacts appear in my contacts and none of them have any info inside. I have deleted my account on the phone and resynced and it is still the same?
Has anyone come across this and any ideas how I can get my original properly synced settings back?
I have about 300 of these empty names now,

Did you already check in Settings > Apps > Outlook if all permissions are granted. If not, delete your Outlook account, set all permissions, re-add your account.

I'm using the outlook that is in the accounts settings and not the Outlook app itself. I've got my mail, calendar and phone numbers synchronised.
Maybe I'll install the App and give it a go that way and chose that setting in the phone app to see if that sorts it.

If you guys want to know some good email apps the type mail app works great so does blue mail I use both and they rock. They have like a 4.6 or 4.7 rating not many apps get praises like that. Just thought I would mention that as I think the outlook app has a lot to be desired.

Thanks for that but it's not the email I have problems with it's the Outlook account sync problems that give me hundreds of false empty entries in my people phone book when I sync to Outlook.com. They are obviously not in there so I don't know where they are coming from. It has only happened since MS updated me to their new Outlook.com style of page.
Oh I had that issue on Tuesday with the outlook servers using Thunderbird email software I had to force close a couple times now seems to be fine all day Wednesday yesterday and still going fine.
