Thanks liudvis
I had already used playerpro but it have a bug in it, that is when i play a song and after a few seconds when screen gets locked, the playback goes horrible like a scratched dvd plays a song. So it was not so helpful. I think this is only happens with WFS coz before WFS I was running playerpro very smoothly on my HTC explorer.

If you use setCPU app be sure to disable screen-off profile. I don't have this kind of bug

Winamp and other players are sucks!
PowerAMP is the best!
HikiPlayer is also a good one.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kazufukurou.hikiplayer
I don't know if you use Flac? This player support Flac. Better quality than MP3 if it's noticeable on a phone.
And HikiPlayer is small in size. But for an equalizer you need to pay, or use the built-in equalizer from Android.
O don't think winamp sucks. Actually I dunno what's with PowerAmp that it's so adorable. I'm using Uber Music, cause of beautiful WP7 skin and Music Volume EQ as an equalizer.

Guys search it up on Google Play Store "XPlay".
This music player offers it's own equalizer and when you set it manually, it is really darn good, the bass and treble and all thay good stuff.
Best music app ever, go try it out!

Hey,
I've tried apollo and the Google music player... I want a music player that I can play certain folders on my sd card? Most of my songs aren't labeled properly or tagged properly and I have them organized in folders, so that's much easier for me... anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

I think "music player pro" by HALBERT is something that you might be looking for
Poweramp's equalizer alone makes it worth the price. Though I really enjoy Play Music's integration with your Google play music collection.
Stopped using the stock music player once I realized how many wake locks it caused so now I need a new music player, just curious as to what everyone else is using.

for eq and overall quality, nothing comes close to poweramp
Rhapsody is the best if you only listen to a ton of music though.

I personally use Neutron. It is designed for audiophiles, so is not as easy to use as other players (according to others. I never had any issues). But..... it has the best sound and is the most adjustable by far (in my experience). Most of the settings only need to be set up initially (if you want something different than default), but most are just personal preferences. But I think it has a slick look, has every feature imaginable, plays every type of file made and sounds great (especially when the phone is hooked up to a nice system). I use my phone as a player in my car (via USB and BT) and at home (via dock/USB) and it produces incredibly clean and dynamic sound. Other players sounded like trash once hooked up. I also have heard good things about Poweramp, but I have found that Neutron does everything and only requires one file on your phone.
I know I'm in the wrong section for posting this...but this is the only forum I'm able to post in...

The term for that is Crossfade and here is the PlayStore results for that term: https://play.google.com/store/search?q=crossfade&c=apps
Looks like Winamp and PowerAmp will do it.

There seems to be no equalizer built in the m8. Seems very odd that there's no option to adjust boomsound or after disabling it no standard sound equalizer. Any ideas anyone?
Sent from my HTC One_M8 using xda app-developers app
I was worried bout this before I got my M8 as my phone is my music player.
In all honesty you don't really need a equalizer with BoomSound on board. .
It does a great job of making any music sound even better.
If you still need one though I would suggust a music app called playerpro . . .
P.S I personally use the stock music app with BoomSound
