TouchWiz transition - Galaxy S II Themes and Apps

Hi,
I've just install a new ROM with the SGIII launcher.
By default, at the first boot, I'd to lauch with it.
So, and it's the only thing I love, the transition effect was very nice.
I use Apex for a long time now and I search to add this animation to it.
So, I've decompile TouchWizUX and I found the background image in /res/drawable-nodpi/panel_highlight.png.
The problem is that Apex don't use a background for all its anims.
Do you think is the way to include it in Apex ?
Thanks a lot and excuse me for my bad english (I'm french and time school is very old now !)

Just wanted to post this , It is on the market too. Very nice launcher with sideways scrollable dock and pinch to select different homescreens.
and of course very speedy.
the xda thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=664149
I´ve been using this for awhile now and i think it much smoother and faster than LP. I really recommend this homescreen!
I just downloaded Zeam and I'm test driving it now. That and skyfire browser. Both look quite promising so far.thanks for the recommendation.
Just downloaded this and it is now my default launcher, thanks very much
I really should change my signature as I dumped the Blackberry for Android
I just found this other day, Man I've been missing out on some speed!
I've been a fan of LauncherPro for a while and brought it even though I never use any of the widgets that come with it. Sure LauncherPro is AWSOME but Zeam blows it out of the water purely based on speed. I sometimes run out of memory and LauncherPro reloads itself or has a fit (hey the developer even knows this so he's doing a complete rewrite of LauncherPro NOW) but with Zeam I have yet seen it reload itself due to lack of memory, and even if it did reload itself its hell fast!
Zeam full screen mode with LCD Density Changer set to 180 and a decent Clock wdiget makes my sgs look all so pwetty and no fear of ram issues as Zeam only uses 10megs while the Best launcher which is LauncherPro uses about 22-30megs. Sure Zeam don't have ALL the features and widgets that LauncherPro has but damn, with the extra speed and ram you can find 3rd party widgets
I give this launcher two thumbs and toes up

make zeam the default - sort of
Hi,
I also love Zeam, but would like to make it my default launcher. When I reboot my Galaxy it still comes up with twlauncher as the default interface.
Can anyone tell me how to make zeam launch rather than twlauncher?
@ninereeds did you check the box that says "use by default for this action"? if so then it will go into Zeam each time.
i think you can only do this once otherwise it goes to tw launcher. if you missed out then the simplest way would be to uninstall zeam, then reinstall, press the home button and it will ask you again what do you want to open.
hope this helps
Does this launcher have a selection for Swype up-applications ?
Im using ADW and in swype up i have enter an application which is very usefull for me...(its a screen off application and with a swype up with my finger on the screen the phone closes)

You need to download Home Switcher from the market, you can then setup Zeam as your default launcher from there, when you reboot Zeam will be the launcher plus Home switcher is Free
Definitely my new launcher! Great post! Love the bar at the bottom!

home switcher doesn't work with froyo though, incase you are using froyo.
otherwise works really good on elcair
I'd like to switch over from LauncherPro to Zeam and try it out again, but I can't make do without either the Samsung widgets or those of LP. If anyone can guide me to third party widgets for friends streams, and other widgets like in LP, I'd love to give Zeam another go...
Gave it a try. I liked it until I tried to find a way to hide certain apps from the app drawer. Looks like that's not possible, so back to LauncherPro for me.
Maybe in future it will get more features, then I'll take another look at it.
WOW miles fast than Launcher Pro. Only setting I'm missing is the hide apps in app drawer which I can live without given the speed improvement and the awesomeness of that bottom bar.
Impressive and certainly has potential but needs more customisation options to be able to compete with ADW & Launcher Pro in my opinion.
Hi,
if you would like to make Zeam as your default Launcher you have to use ClearDefaultHome (Market app and it's free). It's the same as HomeSwitcher but supports all Froyo releases.

[Q] Go Launcher EX in a ROM?

Hello all,
I've seen roms with ADW Launcher and Launcher Pro and Launcher 2 as a default or optional (built in, not an extra install) launcher.
Does anyone know of a rom with GO Launcher Ex as either the default launcher or an optional launcher?
Sorry I can't post a link to the Go Launcher Ex website as I'm a new user but they are in the Market and their site is golauncher[dot]goforandroid[dot]com
None that I know of. Its decent launcher, but probably not the most popular. It would simply take someone who likes GO to cook it into a ROM (and permission from the software developer, of course).
On the other hand, not really much point in cooking in a variety of launchers, when you can just install them yourself in a minute. In particular, it seems like a waste to cook in apps that get updated frequently.
ILWT CM7
ILWT CM7 has GO Laucher as optional launcher, default is ADW. And it is the best ROM ever for our Vision

How to add or remove homescreen pages Nexus

Dear all,
I want to learn that how can I add or remove additional homescreen pages from Galaxy Nexus. There is no information about this even google. Before there was an icon for displaying all homescreen pages and you could add or remove new homepages.
Thanks,
What launcher are you using?
If the answer is stock you cannot add or remove pages.
you cant add or remove homescreens on the stock launcher
if you want to do that, you need to install a third-party launcher from the market
I have tried Nova launcher which works pretty well and is based off of the stock ICS launcher
I am using original firmware, not custom rom and it is pure ICS. What do you advice to me for modifying homescreen pages,
Regards,
Since you're bone stock you really only have the option of using another launcher i.e. nova, apex (they use the resources from and function just like the stock launcher with added options) or adw, go, lp+ and many others. If you end up on a deodexed rom then you have the option of editing the "stock" launcher yourself By reading this.
good day.
Thank you very much for your replies and advices, I installed Nova launcher and i can organize them now.
Thanks again.
How is Nova? I'm currently on adw ex and was eyeing the "tsf shell" does Nova live up to the test?

Stock Launcher Question

So this is my first Android device (coming from iOS) and after looking through different launchers (Go, Apex, and Nova) I think I still like the stock 4.1.1 one the best.
But I want so features from them in the stock launcher, is that possible? Specifically I would like the pages to loop ie,. When I get to the fifth page I want it to go back around to the first page, also I want cool page flipping animations , and lastly I'd like the launcher to work in landscape. Apparently this was the default behavior in 4.0 but they removed it 4.1... weird.
Anyways sorry I'm such a noob just looking for a few answers.

Unfortunately you can not make the stock launch go into landscape without rooting your device and making some changes. I do like the loop feature as well. Nova was the closest to original but I did not like the landscape view it provided, chopped some widgets and just did not "look right" for me. I installed Nemus launcher and so far this has been my favorite. Everything just seems to look crisper and the landscape view is perfect. The one thing I did not like about is that it did not give you a separate tab for widgets in the launcher, but that is ok because you can just long press on a spot on the page and pull up Widgets. Hope that helps some.
Use nova laucher it will let u do landscape mode infinite scroll and all that. ITs just as fast as stock launcher

Nova launcher and touchwiz features

Hello,
I'm thinking about changinch touchwiz on my samsung, I was thinking about nova launcher or Apex. I have several questions:
a) how about performance? Is it better with different launcher?
b) will some of feature of touchwizz remians, for example Smart Stay, SMS/Dial swipe or taskmanager?
c) will it be possible to revert to touchwizz without flashing rom?
regards

Just download and install each launcher, you can have all 3 installed at the same time. Just make sure you don't select "Always" when you click the home button before you have made a decision of which homescreen you want to use.
I like Apex, it works awesome has ICS look like screen, has transitions so you can cube in and out between homescreens .. adds some pizazz and makes iphone users jealous
set them all up, play between them, decide which one you like the best and stick with it.
I personally use Apex (free version still) and have removed Trebuchet completely. In Apex holding down on the icons you can rename them move them, easy to create/add widgets and resize.
I've used Nova before but just like Apex better overall.
How about samsung stock applications and features? Like muting after flipping phone etc? I won't lie, the only thing I'm missing is the possibility of resizing widgets and customization of status bar. If only it was available on stock firmware
