Okay, first question; Does anybody know if the Desire HD will get CM10 or when Team IceSense will finish theirs?
Second; Do you think I will be able to get a Sim card reader slot fixed? And if I can will I have to Un-root my phone?
Please help me. I'm stuck with this stupid Xperia X10.

I was gonna answer but then I kept on reading and decided to do you a favor for the long run.
Try using google to find those answers.
Edit: buddy, I went through your previous posts. It seems that you need some guidance. Read up a bit in google about rooting and other things - mainly because there is a lot of reading involved. Once you have done so, come back here with your questions, I/we will try to help you.
The main thing here in xda is about reading and comprehending. If you can't do that, there isn't much we can do for you.

i debranded from orange rom and everything was fine i got an update so i did it now its saying network locked ?
Are you sim-locked to Orange?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
yup but i got the first update and everything was the same now i got a another update and it has gone like this
Try to unlock your sim card and the message should not appear again. You can buy an unlock code directly from Orange or get one online from a reputable sim-unlocking site, even on eBay. It is possible that you flashed a generic rom that included one of the radio versions which causes this network message to appear. This only happens with Orange branded phones for some reason...

I guess the update was 1.21.405.2
Orange phones that have been de-branded seem to either have their WiFi broken or go to SIM Lock. The only way out of it is to buy an unlock code. (See: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=693511)
The same happened to me -- although I know it would, and still wanted to de-brand. I just bought a code for £9 from: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300434867258#ht_1893wt_911 popped it in and it worked!
Yeah, it's not ideal but at least you have a de-branded and unlocked phone.
You see what you did there Faddy? You've been told on TWO previous posts SEARCH THE FORUM. In fact the answer to the two obvious questions you asked needed NO SEARCH AT ALL as the answers were recent enough they're still on the front page, but you decided beeing snarky and lazy was better.
Well you would have read peoples issues with the second update and would have avoided this. I have zero sympathy for you.
I have seen many posts by this member... makes you think, could he not have just noted all his queries in one post?
Sent from my HTC Desire using XDA App
I have to agree with you lot that the OP is lazy and wants spoon fed!
That said, Faddys, if you flash an older radio this should unlock your sim for you again.
I'll let you do the searching to find which one
Edit: When you flash a radio, it goes through 2 reboots. DO NOT interrupt the flash, or remove the battery if you think it's taking too long. This will brick the handset.

I'm quite sure from his absence since posting this that he's probably done that already.

It might help others who are following this thread to say how you unlocked it.
Did you reflash an older radio, or did you buy an unclock code?

Hello People
I have a HTC Desire ( A8183) & want to root, I dont have the confidence in doing this myself as i dont want to brick my relatively new toy yet.
I live in Perth WA & looking for a techie that can do this for me. i have tried 2 different telephone repair shops & neither could do it, both had the phone for 3 days each. If they cant do it i am not confident at having a go myself.
Does anyone know of a techie that can do this for a reasonable cost.
Thanks in antisipation
Search for unrevoked.com and do of yourself. It's supereasy and has video tutorials. Check also on the stickies
[Sig] dId you know? If you Insert a Coin on your Desire, then it levels up to HD, Z or S :[/Sig] !!!! 10 post limit for off topic NOW!!!!
Read then read again, then read again. Unfortunately in depth information is a bit fragmentated, but general "how to's" are available.
How do you know "techie" won't mess it up? Best to do it yourself, but do your research beforehand. Everyone here was in the same boat as you, but they done it. As long as you are careful, don't rush things, and follow guides chances of messing it up are very slim.
Good place to start.

just use the Noob Proofed Guide, you cant do anything wrong. I was in the same situation like you. I didnt want to brick my phone, but I rooted yesterday evening for the first time without any problems. If you're not confident just take enough time. Plan an evening that you spend with your Desire. Watch all the videos and dont be afraid of all the codes and stuff! It looks much more complex than it realy is!
good luck!

Am i the only one who doesn't like video how to's, but like step by step instructions with or without pics? It's just so much easier to go back a few steps to recheck that you done it right.
I like it if I can do a step while someones making the exact same thing and I can see it live. in tutorials often things arent mentioned 100% clear or arent the same.
After Rooting my Desire only (no Rom install) still i will get 2.3 OTA update ????

Thanks to everybody who answered my call for help!
HTC Desire rooted.
THANKS AGAIN
Okay, so quite a few months ago you guys may have seen my post about me breaking my SIM card reader and I've been wanting to get it fixed. I found out online that you CAN get it fixed but I'm not sure if I would have to un-root it. Can someone tell me anything you know about it?
Any help would be nice
you'd only need to into and go back if your giving it back to htc or your carrier. Giving a hardware problem has nothing to do with the software (rooting, custom ROMs etc)

Hi guys, as you know the G3 is awesome but has a problem with random hard crashes. I've had this issue since I bought the phone.
I didn't take it to warranty then because I didn't have a spare phone to use in the meantime. I do now and I'd like to go back to complete stock so I can get take it into warranty.
Can anybody tell me if there is a guide online? or steps to take?
thank you in advance.

Sorry I did a search but didn't find anything at first I found the thread. this question can be removed by mods or locked.
I bought a used HTC One M9, and everything seems to work fine until I try to update it (Its on Android 5.0.2) it looks normal but then goes to this screen (See attached photo). I guess the phone has S-off? I'm not really very good with any of this stuff, if anyone can help me get back to stock so I can get OTA's that'd be great. I tried doing all the research I could but have gotten nowhere. The phone is an unlocked model, I was told it's a developers edition but IDK how to tell the difference. There is no carrier branding so I'm assuming he didn't lie, and that the phone actually is unlocked. If anyone can help it'd be very greatly appreciated, I planned to use this phone as my main phone but I cant use it on almost 3 year old software.

Not to be polemic but, writing: "its still screwed up" don't help at all. Too much links and redirects? Well, write it about. Suggest some own ideas, if you have one.
Maybe you lost THIS.
