My phones battery life is absolute trash. Will only last me maybe 5 hours at the most and the screen will only be on maybe an hour and a half. I even have the extended battery from Verizon, and I don't have any apps from the market installed except xda!! PLEASE HELP ME:

Not jellybean but cm9 on Franco's kernel with the conservative governor has been one of the smoothest experiences and best battery I have had. I don't know why its smoother than on demand or interactive but it is.
Haven't had good experience yet with jellybean battery life.

Threads like this do not belong. Flash and test for yourself as this will do nothing but start a war.

I am on a CDMA nexus and my battery isn't fairing to well... right now I'm on Franco's kernel. I saw the imosyen lean kernel and was wondering which you recommend? I'm on cm9 nightly

There have been so many of these threads already in the past. Just try em all for yourself and see which one compliments your set-up/needs. Just give it a full 3 days on any kernel to truly gauge an opinion.
good day.

I use imosyen lean and love it. Stable performance and great battery life. I'm on gummy.

And how does your battery fare on the stock CM9 kernel?

Is it an advanced kernel or is it an "install and go" like Franco's?

Point being, test it out. It's a good kernel.
I've tried all of them with adequate results. The one thing that really increased my battery life was flashing the stock 4.0.4 rom.

I have took the time to test every good rom and kernel. I thought I would share that slickmod rom with bullet kernel works the best and fastest, it got a 7500 overall benchmark score.

What you meant to say was that this kernel and rom combo worked best for you. All phonse are different. They respond to difference voltage settings inm different ways due to variations between CPU tolerance. Also battery life will differ from one user to the next due to individual usage habits.
3...2...1...
As with this thread, the completely subjective nature of the question means that there is no 'best' ROM or kernel or combination of the two and such debates inevitably end up descending into arguments... thread closed.
Battery life so far pretty good!!! Screen brightness is at 60%
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
Doesn't look very good to me. I can easily get that using Bigxie's JB ROM with the stock kernel.
Battery stat screenshots are about as useful as Quadrant screenshots.
Thanx for sharing but I'm getting same battery life and great performance with LiquidSmooth ROM and Franco kernel.
This is after one day but thought I would share.

Hey i was playing around with different roms with different results but so far i think sonic rom is giving the best but through actual results what rom + kernel is the best ?

I get great battery off wickedv3 with the faux kernel (the one that comes with it), I've done a little bit with SetCPU though.

I had the best battery life with stock. Gonna give this xquizit rom a try. Hear it's pretty good. I have 3 batteries total so I don't even know why I am still concerned with battery life.

Wicked with trinity kernel is very good. So is faux kernel. Very fast and south And no bugs which is a plus

This is also considered by many to be the smoothest build. All lag has been eliminated, and many who use it see little reason to upgrade to Jelly Bean in the foreseeable future.

Those are 2 different types of roms and I believe the 4.0.4 roms have good functional kernels unlike the jb roms that don't have source yet for the kernels.

From my experience flashing with a battery not at full has zero effect on the battery life.. But you gotta make sure you have enough battery life to complete the flash! I've noticed significant drops in battery life from time to time while in recocery! So be smart about it
