Hey all.
Just flashed Team Venum ICE FF18 ICS.
The ROM is smooth as other Team Venum roms have been in my previous experience with them (GB versions).
I'm just not crazy about the black/grey/white theme and i cant seem to find any threads with themes to flash with this rom.
Can someone help me out?
Thanks in advance!

Well since that was my ROM. ..basically most of our themers ended up making their own ROMs so unfortunately I don't think that a theme was ever made for my ROM
Best bet is to ask Sleshepic or Rujelus22 because I haven't popped in for a few months

Hey I'm looking for a good ROM for my mom. She's jealous of my stock ICS on my E4GT. Her phones rooted already, and I wanna find get a decent ROM to hold her over until the evos ics ROM is stable.
I want something refreshing for her, she's considering getting rid of evo, but I'm trying to convince her to wait until later this year to upgrade...
So what you got for me?

If she likes ics you can put decks gb rom or cm7 on there and get a T-Mobile theme Chooser ics theme on the market Sonny sekhon has a free version of ics theme on xda and market and team syndicate has a paid version on market called stock ics blue both are really nice and make gb look alot like ics just make sure the theme is hdpi compatible and when u choose it it will have an error warning apply anyways and reboot and you have an ics knock off if she likes sense tommytomatoes classic has an ics theme that's really nice.called supreme ice cream

+1
I vote for MikG - it's stable, everything works, the tweaks are phenomenal, and there are a couple of ICS themes for it too. It's like the best of both worlds .
Alright thanks guys, I'm gonna look into some things

I was just wondering if there was any themes for the calkulin 1.6 ics rom. I love this rom and calkulin did an amazing job on it but the theme is so...stock touchwiz..which i was never crazy about..I would love even the calkulin rom with the stock ics theme. If there are forums on this already I'm sorry. It's kind of hard to find exactly what you are looking for. If anyone knows of any theme please point me the right way. Thank You.

You can always just use nova launcher instead of tw

i know people love calks roms but since he's not here anymore (as in on this phone, not xda in general...) I might suggest just moving to something like mijjahs goodness or blu kuban... those roms are both largely de-touchwizzed and look and feel more like an AOSP rom. Both are built from ff18, as opposed to the older leaked fe22 and have tons of great built in features like rom updater, which makes it really easy to be lazy and still have tons of cool stuff... additionally they are still very much being actively supported and are gaining tons of new features now that the devs have source to play with... I know you were just looking for a theme but this would accomplish the same thing and put you on an actively updated and more current rom at the same time.... one last note if you do go this route be sure to flash one of agat63 or chris41g's safe ics kernels to flash from, or Odin back to an el rom as stock fe22 kernel can cause emmc bricks...

I highly recommend the goodness by Mijjah74, I may sometime flash another ROM but I always go back to his. He is making themes from his ROM so you can make it look how you want.

Like should I update to FF18? To me why when I have access to all these awesome roms.? What benefits do I get doing the update?
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
I'd say update to ff18..Don't mind all those people whining about how ICS sucks for our phones.... Especially all the great devs who spent their hard time making ICS better for us... But benefits, i like the multitasking, cool new features, the support for ics with all the devs, and personally an overall better experience.... I know there are more technical reasons but that's just coming in regular terms

I experienced these ics based roms with all those features already.. That's why I'm asking why update to stock FF18 when I got all the features &been had em in roms like aokp for example
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda app-developers app
Why ask the question if you already have already formed your opinion? Our phone is the easiest to bounce through any release there is....I suggest you flash the FF18 rom of your choice and form a new opinion.
Your so logic lol idk why people would update to FF18 since these roma already have the features

I haven't posted in a while but my phone is still solid on 3.8 Darkside. Ive used nothing but Darkside since he started development. What happened to the dev? It feels strange using an awesome rom that isnt even in the dev section anymore.

TDJ moved on. Remember our valued devs are volunteers and hobbyists, and it's to be expected that they will come and go.
But there is an awesome group of devs active on the T989 today, and many excellent ROMS to select from.
I'd recommend that you nandroid your trusty Darkside, then try a clean install of JB. Flash your way through a series of CM, AOKP, and various kangs.
I will be extremely surprised if you don't find a new favorite. The aesthetics, responsiveness and features of the ROMs out today far exceed where we were even back in the summer.
Nandroid is your friend. Go play.

You can actually search sourceforge.net for thederekjay to find his last build.
I had to Odin back to stock after a nameless recovery screwed my phone up for the second time (nothing I flashed would work right). I remembered how much I liked Darkside Evolution and decided to search for it and try it again. It has to be the most stable custom ROM to date. It obviously doesn't have the bells and whistles that the others do, but everything just works. It also looks sweet if you slap Touch0Color and TouchWiz UX on top of it (both are still in the apps and themes section).

Darkside Evolution v8 is still my go to touchwiz ROM. Love it. Can't stand the crop of TW ROMs we have now. No offense to anyone.

V6 that *****.

I just started using it after all the crappy battery and various problems from some of the JB Roms. Ive used them all I think. Slim beans awesome as far as battery goes and liquid smooth but each still have graphical glitches. 3.8 is the way to go its by far the most reliable TW Rom we got with bulletproof a close second IMO.
I just recently committed to making the switch. I was on Darkside v. 8. I am now using Infamous Resurrection Gangnam Style. Great Touchwiz basedRom. Good battery life. No lags. And it's still active so lots of support etc for this rom.
