Color management - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone's display was broken so I replaced it. I think display is more green now . Is it possible to change it? My DHD is rooted.
I couldn't find any app for changing colors for DHD

If you have CM you can use render FX (add widget to homescreen & tweak away)

Did you replace it yourself or someone else? Either case, you could try again?
Then again, if you did it yourself and if you are anything like me, it could only get worse.

[Q] Change lockscreen wallpaper?

Is it possible to change the lockscreen wallpaper? I miss that feature from my old Hero !
I've read that you can't do it, since the new 2.2 Sense? I was hoping there was some kind of hack to do it? Yet searching brings no results!
Try lockbot.

Tried it, but it's a bit laggy and feels a bit cheap . Thanks for your help anyways!
If it can't be done without installing third party software (lockbot, etc), then I guess I'll have to leave it. I just find it odd that it came with my old Hero, but not with my DHD :S.

[Q] Lcd destiny changer on sense rom

Hi everyone,
I'm using lcd destiny changer on Cyanogen 6.1.1. I like it to be set on 200.
Now i was using a sense rom this day and when i set lcd destiny changer on 200 sense is not really handle that very well.
Is there something i can do about it or is it just not working well with a sense rom??
There's nothing that can be done. That's the main reason why I didn't use sense anymore, I love my 190 density too much.
I don't know man, the screen destiny is set to be a phone screen forever....
Been there, faced that! Never tried a Sense based ROM again because of this since I am way too much habituated with a LCD Density of 180/190!
You could try a different launcher on your Sense ROM but then that would defeat the whole purpose of using Sense right ?
Yeah, so i'm back on CM6.1.1
Hope CM 7 will work for me soon...

There is an option somewhere about application compatibility mode. Make sure it is unchecked. I don't recall where the option is though.
^^Spare Parts!
Compatibility Mode needs to be off in Spare Parts!
People sense is diffrent. Even if you change the density the rosie.apk will not look good. It will look good with other launchers on the market.

"Houston, We've got A Problem" with Starfront:Collision HD

I tried to play this game: Starfront: Collision HD ver. 1.0.8, and the controls got replaced by big pink squares wuth pink crosses inside, why?!? watch the images below.
Same problem
Same problem
I tried Chainfire 3D, same ther...
Anyone's got a solution? it's a really nice game..
Same problem here too, but I partially solved setting interface transparency into settings to maximum level. Try it, maybe it works for you too
Sorry to bump such an old thread, but as it is still a problem, I decided to write here.
I use Mimicry on my HTC Vision and I get the pink lines and squares. Setting the transparency of hud to max fixes it when playing, but when taping a character/object and moving around the map, there is a shape with a solid colour drawn... Tried all possible Chainfire 3D options with no result.
Any fixes ?
EDIT:
And btw, on ILWT the game works with no flaws. Kernel issue ?
You all are using the wrong version for galaxy S2. Starfront version 1.0.8 is not compatible with S2. Try version 1.0.0

I don't think that this has relevant here. On my HTC Vision all versions work the same, but on stock rom and ILWT rom the game works just fine

[Q] Sense 3.0 Lock Screen for an Unrooted Desire Z?

Hello everybody. I have an unrooted Desire Z with Gingerbread and Sense 2.1. Because of feeling noob, I am scared to root my Desire Z, but also I really want to use Sense 3.0 lock screen. Is there a way for me?
Thanks
Not without rooting I'm afraid. I'm currently using virtuous 2.0 which is based off the official DZ GB release. With the sense 3.0 lockscreen and it rocks.
If you need help rooting head over to #G2ROOT irc and they will be happy to help

Any way you could link to a thread/post on how to get that lockscreen on ROMs other than Unity? I remember seeing bits and pieces of how but I cant search because I'm on my phone at the moment.

Doesn't that suck up a ton of memory?
You must root your phone. I recommend Virtuous Unity or Virtuous 2.0, both with the overclocked Unity B4 kernel. Good luck!

I am using the sense 3.0 lockscreen with Virtuous 2.0 as well. Whilst I dont play lots of 3d games etc I dont have any problems with memory.
It really does run well.
Running Sense 2 OR 3 requires, in my opinion, removing unneccesary apps with Titanium to free up space. I took out WiFi calling, the drm, the email and stock apps/widgets, and Facebook/Twitter.

Thanks,
I have installed that app and it works nice. but sometimes I have to unlock both lockscreens original one and agile. Is there any other way to replace the original one.
I was thinking about something like this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1054444
Because I would also like to see that nice music widget on lockscreen and some other stuff.
I have downloaded and install app from that thread but when I restart phone I still have old lockscreen.

Download "No Lock" from the market. It disables the stock lockscreen so you can use agile lock or any other lockscreen
does anyone know if you can delete the stock htc 2.1 lockscreen using titanium back up??
thanks

wma support?
Can you add .wma support in the music player?
Thanks for an awesome rom btw, i have been waiting for a sense 4.0 rom
Is there any link for the kernel by itself or is it only available as part of the installer package? And does it include the battery fix and calibration fix? Thx for the great progress, looking forward to a stable release.

Does Wi-Fi work now? Its something like this in the changelog, but wifi is not under "Not working" ?!
Will you be bringing 720p recording to this rom?
I'd vote for the Google apps on /system/app to be moved to /data/app as once they update they'll go there and just use space in /system. Also, I'd vote to remove the bulky Laputa and car padding but each to his own

Hey, v3 does install via recovery with fastsy hboot but gets stuch on one x animation screen, after lots of battery pulls didnt help, i know you tested it but im not sure how far ya went with install....
In my opinion its better now to wait for an official update from shaky himself. And stop downloading and installing the previous releases. I know that he knows what he is doing !

Is this gonna be made for the htc desire cdma too? Thanks
Suggestion on building the rom
I don't think it a good idea to support all kinds of HBoots at such an early stage of building the ROM--they only increase the trouble in testing for now.
My personal suggestion is to set down to FATSYS, or plus Stock at most.
When the ROM gets stable, more HBs could then be added for wider support...
Perhaps i'm just too urge to see your fantastic works...

Is their no more pinch-to-zoom effect on homescreens?
Sense 4.0 have remove the permanently rotation (so we can from middle screen only 2 turns left/right)
But have Sense 4.0 miss the home screen overview after "pinch-to-zoom" too?
Thanks for your rom, awesome work ! Works fine on my father's desire
Maybe the flac support will be Nice, I've many lossless files.

I personaly agree with you. I think it's better to get a working ROM from Shaky on one or maybe two HBs at the most, because it's a lot easier to change your HBoot than developing an entire ROM for each individual HB at the same time.

This is because we are using Sense 4 Lite, which is the version on the One V. Sense 4 Lite only has 5 homescreens, and does not have leap view. Sense 4.0 does have leap view and have up to 7 homescreens which you can remove and add. Also, HTC removed the rotation as its a gimmick to them in Sense 4

OK HTC remove that options to get a better performance, i find it is ok when its help to increase the performance.
Do Sense 4.0 and/or Sense 4.0Lite have HomeScreen Roatation (Landscape Mode)?

It's present in the code. But its disable by HTC. I believe the only way to access it is to plug it into a HDMI tv and use HTC MediaLink HD.
