New music app. Not sure if this belongs in this section, but did anyone give the new music.apk a try that has leaked? I read it belongs to 3.0.

3.0 = gingerbread i saw a video of the music app looks sick. i havent got my hands on it yet tho

3.0 honeycomb. I just installed it and I can confirm it works with the newest OTA. Its a mix of 3D gallery, coverflow (when the phone is held in portrait mode). Basically if you saw the last google i/o conference about the music app, its that same app
EDIT: just did some more playing around with it. I can't wait for the google android music app for pc to drop. It links itself to your phone through your gmail account. The option to play streamed music is in the settings of the app. And yes it does look really good. About to see if the androind music app is somewhere to be found. I hope revs start cooking this in their roms. It has been confimred to work only in froyo and gets a parsing error in gb

2.3 is gingerbread. I heard they were working on Honeycomb but wonder who leaked an app for it when Gingerbread hasn't hit OTA yet. If it works that's cool

I posted the apk in apps and themes!!! I read it was for honeycomb and it has another program to test wireless streaming which doesn't really work (or i cant figure it out) it has a similar theme to 3d gallery if held in landscape mode. I posted it like a day or so ago so its on the third page of apps and themes or search honeycomb music .apk

Theres the link to the .apk. Be sure to install it using Astro or some other app manager.

Yeah I just read that myself. Honeycomb will NOT be 3.0 (which is a major) but a minor update (2.4)
After playing around with the music app, I hope they are adding more to it because, at this point, it is just a UI update.
EDIT: Had to do some more reading up on it. Gingerbread and Honeycomb are both UI updates with Honeycomb being the updates that enables Android usage on Tablets (meaning making Android better suited for tablet usage)

Color management

My phone's display was broken so I replaced it. I think display is more green now . Is it possible to change it? My DHD is rooted.
I couldn't find any app for changing colors for DHD

If you have CM you can use render FX (add widget to homescreen & tweak away)

Did you replace it yourself or someone else? Either case, you could try again?
Then again, if you did it yourself and if you are anything like me, it could only get worse.

[APP]MIUI MUSIC player

I have been searching for a better music player based on good UI and smooth performance. Then I found MIUIMusic 2.3.2.
All credits goes for DaXmax, he post two versions of the apk, the newer one 2.3.9 crashed in my rom, so I decided use 2.3.2
I did some change in appearance includes: icon replaced, enlarged the state bar icon and widget background changed.
IT IS FOR both ICS and JB

Get rid of dsp manager, try the "NOOZBEATS" sound mod. Works perfectly with this player, sound is crisp n clear. I have no sound distortion, on the PAC man JB ROM.

Having problems with this app on your latest V9. I open it and a milisec later forecloses. I just get to see a black screen before this happens. Used to work on V8. What could be it?

Try the 2.3.2 edited signed one. This was happening to me too, it turns out 2.3.9 stopped working and only 2.3.2 edited signed one works.

Dark Knight performance issues

Just bought the game earlier (well you can't really go wrong with 25c) and performance is just downright terrible. O knew about the framerate issues, but didn't know it was this bad. Is there nothing I can do about it?
I'm running omega v27 btw with the latest version of siyah and overclocked cpu/gpu or not, it runs bad. I see some people posting that it runs great on their s3 but I fail to see how that's possible unless jellybean has a performance penalty (doubt it though as everything else runs fine)

I tried reflashing the kernel used by omega and yeah, performance did improve. But it still stutters randomnly. I wonder if this is the game at its best for android devices, or if I can still squeeze out some more frames

My feeling is that this game doesn't perform well in Omega, not with Siyah and not with stock kernel. Having the best results with the official odexed DLIB.

Odd the game works fine on my phone from what I have played, I`m on stock rom and stock kernel.

I think omega 27 JB doesnt use updated mali drivers..iv read that somewhere i just cant remeber..i noticed it when i played dead trigger on stock ics i had the ultra graphics settings but when i updated to omega 27 i only get to have high graphics settings on dead trigger. it seems to be gpu drivers used in jb or omega.

I'm using checkRom v5.5 with hacked stock kernel, and it's v much playable. Fps could be better, but it's fine.
Not that I have on my S3 but on my desire I used chainfire's app (edit:chainfire3d) to get GTA3 working on it. Maybe try that?

Subway Surfers fix / Blank screen

For those of you experiencing the blank black screen when trying to play subway surfers on the newer aosp nightlies and cyanogen mod stable releases.
After trying different nightlies and downloading a few earlier versions of the game, and all the workarounds I could think of, I finally found an older release of the game that works on ALL the current cyanogenmod and AOKP nightlies and stable releases!!
Please keep in mind, this is an outdated version of the game so if anyone finds a newer one that works, feel free to post in the comments with a link so I can try it out too. :good:
Instructions -
1:Uninstall previous version of Subway Surfers that is on your phone
2: Download older version from my dropbox here https://www.dropbox.com/s/eojibg68y1dzsab/Subway-Surfers-Full-1.8.1.apk
3:Check 'unknown sources' in Settings > Security
4:Install from your favorite file explorer & :good: (this step wouldn't work for me until I did step 1)
Well, this worked out pretty good for me so I just wanted to share it with you guys too, hope it helps! feel free to leave any other fixes in the comments :good:

Yeah thats what I'm thinking too, because I tried a few of the recent nightlies as well as the stable versions for s3, and none of them worked until I went back to a 3.0 nighltly.. But hey I found another one that works with the 3.4 kernel builds. Subway Surfers Miami v. 1.11.0.

Maybe an older download will work? I found this http://apktablet.com/?s=can+knockdown its got some older apks u can download

The two versions above only load to the welcome screen (subway surfers Rome and Miami respectively) and exits itself. Any suggestions?

I have tried CollectiveAOCP, CarbonROM, ParanoidAndroid.. many games apps dont seem to like 4.2.2.
I tried subway surfers 1.11 and it works

I can confirm 1.11.0 and down all work. Anything newer will be black screen for now.

I'm really getting tired of Miami.
It's not a straight up android 4.2.2 nor Linux 3.4 issue - the S4 is running both stock.

Looks like that's not the case for me; I'm using Schutshund AOKP based on CM11.1-2014021-nightlies for HTC Desire HD (don,' know which version) but the game is on black screen whenever i launche it what a shame
sorry for the bump (I'm newbie) ... i just replied in order to let other people know that we're still suffering ( no SS!! That's aweful)
