I just switched from a Xperia X10 mini to a Samsung Nexus, and I was wondering if you had any tips or tricks for a starter with this phone.
I've been reading some articles on XDA but maybe you can tell from your own experience :cyclops:

unlock bootloader before doing anything. that way if u do decide to root and do all that fancy stuff, you wont have to start from scratch. you'll just flash su.zip and bam!

I am new here. I hope someone can help me. Please forgive me if I am breaking forum rules, haven't got my head around it yet.
Lat week I bought the goophone i5 not realising all of this root stuff. I came across a youtube clip and apparently this model comes rooted out of the factory? Can someone who own one of these confirm?
Also I'm from Australia and need the play store, is this also on it.
I really should have researched things before buying...
I would really appreciate some help.

What do you suggest i do now? Show me, im willing to learn. I wanted a custom ROM, are their any? Any beginner threads? Im new, not an idiot. I can and will learn This thread is not a question, its seeking advice and suggestions merely. And just wanted to introduce myself!

OK welcome mate ,
First you have to find your device forum on xda , I am saying this because unlike other social medias - in xda each devices are different communities.
If you wanna improve your phone's UI , speed and something like that , you have to install a custom rom that is designed for your device (custom roms are created by other people, so there is a chance to get brick or losing some features from your device )

Hey I'm Salena, I'm surprised you say you rooted the lg volt 4.4.2 kit Kat I've only had mine for a couple weeks now and have been researching how to root it since day one. I've always rooted any device I have usually it's not rocket science, but I've had a damn hard time figuring this one out, I'm on boost but I believe it's the same kernal version as Verizon . Plz share this helpful info with a fellow hacker, also nice to introduce yourself, welcome

Phone mapping off partitions and any other useful info you might think I would need to know of.
Just Got my LG G3 This weekend and trying to get to know her a bit better, already rooted and recovery flashed...

Hey there,
I have been roting my devices for quite a while now, so I somewhat know the drill.
A very, very unfortunate event occurred when my quite new S3 Neo decided to take a swim and now it's f***ed up for life...
With my tiny budget I 'thankfully' managed to find a cheap replacement in a second hand Huawei P1 U9200 on firmware B219 (1V100R001C00B219).
I now have been searching for days to find a tutorial on how to root the little bugger.
There's quite a few old 'stories' on the interweb on how to pur a new ROM on it, and some really old talks about rooting it, but I now have come to the conclusion that there's a lot of contradictory posts and unusable links.
I would like to know if:
1. (Most important question) Is it even possible to root this B219 apparatus?? If so then:
2. Anyone out there with a tut for it and links that actually work?...
Any help would be very much appreciated!!
