http://lmgtfy.com/?q=da+swype+themes first link and download the themed swype that you want!
i was having problems with them not fitting the screen before. Now I found the trick to make them fit the screen!
Install the themed swype that you want then make sure AUTO ROTATE is enabled!
Tilt the phone horizontally and it should do the trick! when you go back to portrait mode, the new themed swype should be working
If people already knew about this, please dont bash on me ;D
look at the before and after pictures attached
Credit to the awesome maker of the themed swype (djdarkknight96)
The first paragraph from the website:
I have posted my themes on many sites to share my themes but have had them closed from Swype complaints. Well this came to no surprise to me so I will keep them here and just post on my twitter and Google plus pages the links. I have some other forums that have kept them up until they get heat from Swype to close the threads. So please DO NOT POST THESE LINKS ON ANY FORUMS!!!

We have finished Ui development and are starting the game development...

New TEST VERSION
Download here: http://cid-cddbf77985693632.skydriv...A files/Programs/ManilaGames/base.Demo.02.exe
guys we need to know!!!!
does it work smooth....
almost no description
no screenshots (you're asking us to post some, yet you're the developer)
a .exe (which to my knowledge wont work on mobile phones, i dont have a WM-powered mobile phone but i've read that install files are in .cab)
6 posts makes you think you're new and therefore many ppl won't download it and trust you.
so either its a virus and the-like or its real but you provided almost nothing that makes us think its 'real'.
topic reported so mods can take a view
Edit: took a look at your other posts and it looks like you're being serious. So sorry if i interrupted your topic with my (probably) false-indication
Edit2: nvm, its real. a mod made this exe. so again im sorry for the false statement and the report
for people reporting this thread
all is good....just checked posts look here if still unsure
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3114391#post3114391
there is nothing wrong or "fishy" with this thread.
thank you
thank you.... i think????
lol
so can someone give me a report on how it runs on the device???? and a screenshot?
The app runs smoothly on my HD (IT ram 1.14): see screenshot attached.
hey, apart the game: what about making it as a launcher too (as touchlaunch or M2DAppLauncher? it seems perfect! and those apps seems to be dead...
I tried your game and till now it works very well. The touchscreen reaction is very good. But on the top in the left corner of the slider is one litle blue line. I marked this with a red square on the second sreenshot.
thanks for that blackmonkey we will try to fix it but for now we need to get the actual game running
No problem...I´m waiting for more..good luck
New Demo Version check it out at the first post...
please post screenshots and tell about your experience....
ok i got demo 2 up and running,
let's say im at the home icon and want to go to stock. when i click on stock it shows the home icon. the sliding bar at the bottom wont go where my thumb is. it does follow the movement if i slide it over the screen (i hope you get what i mean)
also ermm the first time when im on a new screen it shows the icon for a very short time when i press the screen.
please post a screenshot i don't understand....
I pressed the stock button with my thumb on that pic.
oh i see...
yes at the moment it is made for sliding use only.... so you willl have to drag the slider from tab to tab.....
Maybe you will see an actual game release tommarow... nothing advanced... maybe a tick tac toe game....
but I will get the helicopter game finished
ahh cool, when i release my finger it does go to that spot so it does work like that the slider is just not sticking to my finger on the spot i press the screen. can't wait to see a game on this it runs smootly
Get read for the first actual game release tommarow!!!!!!!!
Can someone explain exactly what this is?
OK well the idea is to create games and applications that keep the manila style look....
so if you want to get to the settings portion of a game... you have the tf3d thing at the bottom of every app and game....
understand?
Ok. It wont intergrate into TF3D, it will just look like it?
first of all, fantastic work. i have a couple questions.
1, is it possible to get this to use the manila resources so whatever theme we're using is also used by the game?
2, how hard would it be to port across a few emulators into this? while things like morphgear work fine, the are hardly finger friendly. i'm thinking running game on the first tab, list of roms on the second, maybe in the style of contacts or music player so case pictures can be added. and then settings on the third tabs. that sort of thing anyway. how feasable is that?
i'm personally of the opinion that the more things that have a unified look the better so i think what you're doing is great.
many thanks

this is a theme that was requested in the request thread and the user included his email. i have been chatting with him while i made this theme and it is still open for more suggestions, but for the time being i am releasing it as a finished product. it is a very simple theme, at this point mainly the app icons have been changed as well as a few other things like background. it is uploading now to 4shared but i tether since i don't have/can't afford internet at home, and the neighbor's router crashed the other day so here it is, hope you like it so far, i will come back to do more work in a week or so but i have to see if i can get my theme finished in time for the competition. i used some minimalistic grey icons for the apps as i thought it would go well with the wallpaper chosen by the requester.
link
screen shots are coming but i made a small edit to the home screen and am uploading that copy and i want to take the screen shots of that one, so it will be a bit before i get your copy flashed to the phone for screen shots.
rename to update.zip of course to flash, please don't mirror, i like to see how many people download the file, idk i guess i'm weird like that. i will continue going through the request thread in no particular order to see which ideas or requests make a theme image pop into mind. next up though after the competition theme is a HEROES theme because i love that show.(mondays 9/8c on NBC if you live here in the states)
reserved for updates later
Hello everyone. It seems that I can't see any other thread with this topic in my searches so I'm starting a new one.
FlipFonts are built-in to our Samsung Galaxy S's and they're quite nice. What are your thoughts on them, and do you have a favourite one?
My favourites are Dave Gibbons and Soho Gothic. I wish there were free fonts, or better yet, a way to use OpenType/TrueType fonts.
UPDATE /// Create Your Own Flipfonts!

I present you with two threads. The first is my How-To thread with everything you need to start making FlipFonts. First time will probably take you about 20 minutes, After you get use to the steps you can make one in 5 minutes.

The next thread is the Vibrants Master List of user created FlipFonts. All that I ask is that you post your flipfonts in this thread so that they are all located in one location. We have been trying to keep the fonts in the first few posts with links that allow for download in the XDA tapatalk app.

Thanks a bunch to Ritalin for this. Hopefully a lot of people will join in making more FlipFonts available.
Here's my first try in making a FlipFont: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7776274&postcount=201

agree, i've been pondering about that as well, there should be a way to convert/import regular TrueType fonts into our phones
I've seen other fonts being and installed by users, but am I right in thinking that you need your phone rooted to be able to use them properly?
Check here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=735148 u have to be rooted, but its working with truetype fonts.
how can i use the flipfonts?
sorry for the Q

the official route is to buy them from Market then
Settings => Display => Font Style
I do like the Helvetica Nueue and Frutiger but none of the flipfonts I've tried seem to include a bold weighting (important for me when seeing what email is unread, also the time in status panel should be bold etc).
Droid Sans (the default) is pretty cool though anyway.

It's a pity no one's figured out how to package them in an apk for installation by non-root users. All good stuff though.
My favorites are Helvetica Neue and Soho Gotic (my #1 favorite), though some applications look a bit ugly when using other fonts than Droid Sans.

and could you tell about unofficial route pls?
Are you guys serious... I created a method for making your own FlipFonts and posted it in every Galaxy S variant forum on XDA, Im a Vibrant user. Hell my howto was even posted on AdroidSpin last week.
This method does NOT need root and works just like the fonts in the market.

Dude, I'd give you 3 stars and a pint of your favourite drink for sharing this with us.
--- EDIT ---
Already created my first FlipFont! I'll be posting it in that thread. Off to create screenshots now. It didn't come out as good as I wanted, it looks a bit too small, but hey.
No problems... I'm glad so many people have found the how to useful.
If you want to check your font size before making the apk double click on any of the capital letter glyphs after you do the paste special. This will open up the edit window for that glyph. You should see the original guides for android fonts listed there. Use the cap height and other to see if the new characters are too small or too big.
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
did something happen to the font thread?
yes, why are the fonts missing?
Wondering too.I created some flipfonts.now where to post?maybe I'm allowed to share them here again.
post to keep this thread up or shall I start a new one with a collection of all flipfonts/my flipfonts?
Thanks for the tutorial.
Soon, i'm converting the fonts on my PC to my SGS!
I was wondering if anyone had a download link to the old leaked froyo build that had the keyboard with the "hide button" removed and with the spacebar enlarged. I believe it was found in the 7/27 leak, but I can't find the download link anymore here in XDA.
I would like to extract the keyboard from the Rom and use it on the OTA froyo, because, in my opinion, the hide button is worthless and the space bar is to small.
I would appreciate it if someone could send me the link or even better the keyboard apk.
Thanks!
EDIT: Nevermind, I spoke to soon. Just after I posted this I found the download link. I'll post the keyboard apk just in case anyone else wants it.
Please do post that apk, I hate how small the spacebar is.
Hey guys,
I got Swype working on my Archos 70.. Works great, no problems. I installed the one which is 480X800 (made for the EVO, Desire and Epic)
In Landscape mode some of the last buttons are shaved off due to Archos' soft buttons but still works fine.
This is is the link for the apk: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=O7XRKWBR
Note to Mods: I'm not sure if I'm breaking any rules by posting this Swype APK, if I am please feel free to delete this post.

Confirmed! My wife thanks you also.
Did you gents have to turn anything off or just select it and it worked. As I have tried that one and another and I can't get either two work on my 70? Thanks
First select it under settings.
Then open up any text box (E-mail, chat, browser address bar, etc) press and hold on the text bar and when the menu comes up, select 'input method' , then select Swype.
You do it once and it will stay with all apps, unless you turn it off in the task manager.
Hope this helps
Thank you for the APK!
yeah sorry I would've posted mine awhile ago but I thought it was against forum rules but I guess not but flipping the bar fixes the clipping and the thumbs keybord is more functional for daily use btw

Hey, what do you mean flipping the bar?
I used thumb keyboard, still prefer swype to be honest. Its faster.
SlideIt seems faster than swype actually, but I hate the UI and I dunno why its sooo huge, as one other xda member put it, slideIt is the clown shoes of keyboards lol
