Haven't got the 4.1.1 OTA - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey all
I recently changed from the Samsung build of ics (yakjuwx I think?) To yakju. Waited about an hour and still haven't got the OTA update notification
Any way to trigger it?
Thanks

Good point.
I shouldn't bother waiting for it OTA when i can get JB now

Well if you don't feel like flashing an OTA, the JB OTA is rolled out in batches so you just wait a bit and it should come. With that being said, I just didn't want to wait and flashed the OTA as soon as the yakju one became available and linked here .

You can try this trick to force your Nexus to update, sometimes it need few tries to work, it worked for me

Still on 4.0.1, using an imported GSM model in the U.S. It originally came with yakjuwx, so I flashed the yakju 4.0.1 build. The phone successfully checks in for updates, but keeps displaying the "Your phone is up to date" message. Perhaps our IMEI numbers just haven't come up yet?
Germany, yakju 4.0.1 build. Still on 4.0.1. Checks for updates but it says its up to date.
Guess Ill have to wait ...

same 4 me.
And ota updates are working for me.got the volume-fix per ota.
no root, no open bootloader
shame on google.i was thinking the new Superphone Galaxy Nexus by google, get direct updates.
but for now the old nexus s are two steps ahead.... on 4.0.3
i have unlocked my device and rooted it, will it affect the OTA?
Still on 4.0.1 (ITL41D) yakju sim free UK. I may manually flash tonight, been waiting too long. Never had any OTA updates yet.

only when you change your bootlader, install cwm or a custom rom.
rooting and bootloader unlocking are fine for otas

btw
is there a Email adress or something else to get in contact with google?
I think they have forgoten to bring the updates to all phones because 4.0.3 is arrived and 4.0.2 is "old"

Installing CWM recovery breaks OTA updates? I could swear I got the volume fix after I did this, but I might be mistaken. The update screen acts as though it is successfully checking for updates, but showing me up to date.
if you dont want to wait just get the rom from here http://code.google.com/android/nexus/images.html
and flash with fastboot you can do it with out wiping the phone
If your phone is yakju and you have an unlocked bootloader you can just manually apply the update yourself. That's what I did and it works great. Here's a step by step: http://www.androidcentral.com/how-manually-update-your-gsm-galaxy-nexus-android-402-ota
Also having root or an unlocked bootloader won't stop you from getting OTA updates. You will lose root if you update OTA but the bootloader will remain unlocked until you lock it again yourself. Some custom roms have OTA's turned off but if you're still stock, you'll get the update if you wait. Give them some time, they're pushing this to all the Gal Nex phones plus 4.0.3 to the Nexus S. That's a lot of data floating around out there.

no problem to wait.so far everything works with 4.0.1. but it makes me a little bit angry that the nexus s get 4.0.3 earlier as my super new Smartphone galaxy nexus which is titled as new superphone by google and for ics.
and that i wait 5 or 6 days maybe longer to geht a update to a old version!

I'm pretty sure installing CWM doesn't break OTAs because the OTA would just write over the custom recovery. That's happened to me before on my Nexus S when I had it rooted with CWM recovery. After receiving an OTA it overwrote everything and I just chose to keep it that way.

Why don't we had the upgrade ?
Everyone with a Nexus will get the update, just have to be a little patient. There has never been a roll out that didn't last for a couple weeks. They just started the roll out not even 72 hours ago.
I am in the netherlands and nothing yet.
Unfortunately, still on 4.0.1 sim-free in Poland...

4.0.2 OTA is rolling out... again...

As title.
Post here if you received the 4.0.2 recently.
Can you tell us if this "new" 4.0.2 supports the USB Host feature?
How are we suppose to tell which 4.0.2 we have?

take a look at the build.
the "old" one should be ICL53F but I don't think that there is a new one or an old one.
I think that every 4.0.2 will be the same ICL53F.
I hope that someone who received the 4.0.2 today can confirm that he received the ICL53F.
I did a complete factory fastboot restore of 4.0.1 today and got the OTA 4.0.2 delivered a few minutes later, so I guess I have it. How do I test USB host feature? And it is ICL53F

Yes, I can confirm it. I just received 4.0.2 update on my Gnex, don't really notice anything yet.
My update came about 2 hours ago.

If you do not install it, you certainly will not be able to install future OTA updates...
i got the image but when I hit update, i got the icon of an open green android with a red triangle indicating an error. is this because my 4.0.1 is bootloader unlocked/rooted with CMW installed?
got it in NYC I'm on T-Mobile.

No update for me here in NYC. I have the UK yakju version on AT&T.
I still don't understand they're not releasing 4.0.3. Many times better than 4.0.2 with great battery life, amazing performance and not a single reboot! My Nexus felt laggy and unstable before 4.0.3...
Do you guys feel that 4.0.1 is better than 4.0.2? If so, I will hold off on updating until 4.0.3 or better rolls out...

It is because you have CWM installed, not because your bootloader is unlocked. But it doesn't really matter. Look for a thread in the general section started by me that gives you a step-by-step on how to install an OTA with CWM.
Edit: Here is the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=20843237

I wonder why they delayed this update and if they made any slight changes?
I would assume they havnt since the build is exactly the same, just seems weird that it was delayed.
hopefully 4.0.3 isnt far away now

No way of knowing how long until you receive the OTA notification, you could try manually checking for the update:
Tap on Settings
Tap on About phone
Tap on System updates
As to switching to Yakju,,,your OP lists that you have a Yakju device?

Its not worth waiting. The link method is the same as if it was pushed just with extra steps. I used the toolbox in dev section and unlocked boot loader and flashed update and kept all my apps home screens and data. Do it you will kick yourself if you keep waiting. You can even relock it if you fell you ruined the stockness

The problem here is unlocking boot loader will wipe the phone and I locked it back when moved to yakju firmware from my local Samsung managed firmware and don't want to go through that again actually...

ICS is finally here?

I got a notification this morning that there is an update available but the servers are busy so try again later...
I fired up Kies to see if I could get the new firmware that way, but Kies still says that SGH-I927 doesn't support firmware update via Kies...
Seems strange to me that they would only roll out OTA when other devices can get it via Kies.
Do you think this is just a 2.3 point release or is it (finally) the 4.0 update we've been promised 4 months ago?
I'm hoping it'll grab the update by tomorrow.
I can't wait!
Edit:
I should mention I'm on stock AT&T UCKL1 Android 2.3.6 never rooted or modified in anyway.
Looks like some of the folks posting in the sticky are on 2.3.5 + root so I didn't post there so as not to confuse the discussion.

Flashed to Stock ICS, but.....

Hey guys, so i just received my Gnexus only a couple of days ago. As soon as i received it i unlocked/rooted and flashed JB 4.1.1 rom.
All well and good, didn't realise till later in the day that a part of the phone was D.O.A
So now i have to send it back and get it fixed/replaced.
I followed the guide to restoring Stock ICS rom for GSM.
All well and good, it restored it to IMM76D, then OTA update to IMM76l. Now when i click on system updates it saying i can Update OTA to Jellybean.
However.... My Gnexus i-9250 GSM came with IMM76K and a Jellybean OTA update was not available.
If i keep the IMM76l on there, do you think they would notice/would that void my warranty (seeing as it came with IMM76K)?
Or is there someway i could flash IMM76K on my GSM device? The one listed on google developers images is for the LTE/Verizon
Any help would be greatly appreciated

They won't care about the version. Just kick the bootloader and you're good to go
Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz
Thanks for the reply, it came with 4.0.4(IMM76K) ICS. I'm just going to leave 4.0.4 (IMM76L) on it and relock.
Do you think it will be fine/they would knock me back for that?
EDIT: okay thanks alot for the replies! will just leave it and lock bootloader.
