I am making my first boot animation, but the the animation takes about 1-3 seconds longer than my phone's typical boot time. As a result, when starting up, my phone cuts the end of the animation off. Is there any way to make android play the entire boot animation before booting up? Thank you.
I read that if you have another launcher installed and don't select a default launcher your boot ani should run a little longer. Like TW launcher and Go launcher for example.

Every time I reboot my phone my wallpaper is gone. It goes back to the stock wallpaper that came with the rom. I'm using Tommeytomatoes Classic v0.0.6. Anyone know why this is happening? Could it be that the sdcard isn't fully loading?

(the animation worked on jelly bean, just stopped randomly)
I would be willing to bet your window animations are turned to the fast setting. Turn them back to normal speed and you should get it back. This can be done if you have the spare parts app or some roms have it cooked in. Also check under developer settings and make sure Window animations are at 1x speed. That should fix you up. You can set transition animations as fast as you want but Window animations have to be normal (1x) or slower to retain the crt off (screen off) animation

So is installed the FREE GS3 R6 and it gave me new animations for exiting apps, locking the phone etc. Unfortunently these were ported from jellybean to the S3 and there are some minor graphical bugs that annoy the crap out of me. One being you exit the text messages app and the app closes but the keyboard stays for about a second. Also when you do the tv lock animation everything goes fine until the last second the screen blinks for about a second. Im not complaining but is there anyway to switch to the old touchwiz animations. Is there some sort of zip I download extract and just drag animation files onto my android and just replace them.
Thanks!
Actually there is a way. Download the latest stock rom and flash it. You'll have a perfectly smooth rom with perfectly smooth animations......
You can turn them off altogether. Not sure if that would suffice for your preference, but you could give it a go.

hello there,
i've got HTC one x about 2 days ago, i think it's a v. good phone but now i have a problem
the phone had a very cool cube animation when you move between tabs as fingers are moved across the tabs ... for example in apps like "phone" you have (phone - people - favorite .. etc)... i used to have a cube animation while moving between those tabs ...
once i updated the software (which i didnt know it would change the phone like that), this animation is completely gone and it just shows a black box with the name of the tab on it ... how can i bring this animation back ?
one other thing, scrolling the home screen now goes forever, i mean when you scroll to the very last screen on the right, it jumps after that to the screen on the far left and goes looping like that .... how can i disable that feature and make it as it was
hope my questions are quite clear ...
Thanks
For cube animation: with the latest relase of android and htc sense, cube animation was off, but if you want, you can flash ViperX because the dev have added this option
For second question: Do you talk about infinite scrolling?
If yes, you can disable it, always, with ViperX rom.
With stock rom you can't disable infinite scrolling and activate cube animation
Flash a custom Rom matey

It's odd, but I've seen many unboxings, and most of the time on the boot up, the Motorolla M has clock gears in the M.. now I'm starting to
notice a different boot animation.. I've only seen it once on youtube and then the watch I own myself. Instead of the clock gears, it's an M in the middle with a white light circling the minute markers.. what's the difference? Why are there 2 different boot screens?
thanks, hope this hasn't been mentioned
It's due to the firmware it's running at the time. Most unboxings are showing it turn on for the very first time and the original firmware (4.4W ) had the gear boot animation. But immediately upon turning it on the device prompts you to charge the battery and update. The update puts you on 4.4W.1 which has the new boot animation. So essentially most people only ever see the old boot animation once
I wish they wouldn't have changed it. The gears are way cooler than the clock boot ani.

I think the boot animation with the gears in the M is for initial start-up. I had 4.4W.1 already pre-installed when I got my M360. That boot animation only showed once.

Just remember it, and when the developers start to take off let them know the boot animation on 4.4W was pretty sick, they might be able to extract it for a custom rom
