HTC One V CDMA
Bootloader Unlocked, Rooted, Stock ICS, No Roms
I recently rooted and unlocked my phone, and now my battery percentage or status will not update until i restart the phone. For example, it will say that my battery is at 97% the whole day until i restart and then it will say 40%. It will stay at 40 until i restart it again, and so on. Anything i can do?
I have already tried calibrating the battery, and factory resetting it. Any help?
Thanks guys!

just let your battery run dead dead, charge it WHILE IT'S OFF for the whole time your asleep, and don't charge your phone while it's at anything other than 10% or less also battery calibration app will only work when your device is de-charged and re-charged @100%

quickest way is to grab an app from the market to reboot into recovery, but for now just power down the phone (hold the power button until it switches off) then hold volume down and power you should get into HBOOT select recovery
and done

First try a battery pull, then reboot. If it still fails, pull the battery again, then boot to the bootloader, and see if you can get to recovery. If so, try wiping cache and dalvik cache, then reboot, if it still fails, restore a nandroid backup, or reflash the rom.
If you can't get get to recovery, report back here.

Was the battery charged up. When you plug it into a wall, do you get a charging led? If so, let it charge up for a bit. If you don't get a charging led, do you have another battery to try?
Holding Power and Volume down doesn't bring you to the bootloader?
yes it was a 98% before it happend pluging in now tho.... Pluged in and the charging light wont even turn on

That's very strange... So you have no other batteries to try, just to make sure. I would try taking your battery out, and putting it back in, just to be sure it has good contact. That's very odd. A battery pull whilst stuck at the white htc evo 4g screen should not brick you. You have no choice but to battery pull at that point, otherwise you'd just hang there forever. Now, a battery pull during a radio flash, yes, that can brick you. But this was not the case. That is very odd, and I would still try another battery if you happen to have a spare.

Let it sit for 4 or 5 minutes there. If it doesn't start the boot animation, you're going to need to battery pull again. Can you get to recovery? When you select recovery from the bootloader, do you hang at the white htc evo screen, or does it successfully boot to recovery? If it gets to recovery, I suggest a full wipe, calkulin's format all.zip too, and then reflash the rom, or restore a working nandroid backup. If you can't get to recovery, confirm that you still have S off, and we'll see if you can successfully get a recovery flashed.

Yea, it's your only option. See if you can get to recovery. WHen you turn it on, hold the power button and volume down button together. When you get to the bootloader, select recovery, and then report what the result of that is.

With the phone powered off, you need to simultaneously hold down the power and volume Down button. Start pressing htem both at the same time, with the phone powered off, and don't let go of them until you see the bootloader pop up. It should be a white screen with a menu and a few options. One of the options should be recovery.
ok sorry my bad it poped up about to hit recovery now

Okay good, you're at recovery. That's a good thing. I'm sort of assuming you don't have any nandroiid backups? If you do happen to have one, I'd restore a backup. If you don't have a backup, you're left with two options. One, try wiping cache and dalvik cache, and then reboot. To do that, select 'wipe' from teh recovery menu. Choose cache. Then select dalvik cache (i think in clockwork, you may need to go to 'advanced' to select dalvik cache). Once you do that, go back to the main menu of recovery and reboot. If you get the same results, then go back to recovery, the same way you just did. This time, I suggest wiping everything (data/factory reset, cache, dalvik cache, and flashing calkulin's format all.zip), and then re flashing a rom. Do you already have a rom on your SD card?

What state is your rom in? Can you boot at all?
M.
Edit - some people have had luck with this charging method. Plug in to charger, phone will boot and for about 6-7 seconds you'll get a red charging light. When that turns off pull the plug power down phone (long hold power if you need to). Very slow process but it will get you there eventually.
From what you've said, you should still be able to boot the phone normally to charge it.
Re-locking the bootloader and installing a different recovery shouldn't have done naything to your boot.img or ROM.

thanks i will see this.
I discover something great for any guy who brick his HTC ONE X.
Only signed recovery can CHARGE the phone when it is power off (suspended), if you have any other CWM installed, doens't matter, try to start the os en left it alone and connect it to the power, no lights appears, but the phone never go off, that means you are charging it!!! (i see this because i have the splash screen of my villain rom installed). 1 hour and the screen still sppearing, this means that the battery is charging it
Now i start to charge my phone and im going to let you know any news about my bricked one X.
You can also try to boot in rom in safe mode and charge phone. when you boot you have to hold both volume+ volume- will be boot faster...I find accidentaly last night.
I solve it!
Now i know. HTC One X is unbrickable. Or you can really brick if you stop a bootloader flashing...

My E4GT does not turn on. The power button doesn't work at all and when I put my battery in it goes straight to the batter charging screen. It thinks it is always charging. The phone has a cracked lens so getting a 30$ refurb is out of the question and now I have no way to use it. I can access ODIN mode and Recovery though. Is there anyway to bypass the battery mode and make it boot up into the OS?

Your symptoms sound like someone tried to flash a froyo ruu on a device that had gingerbread on it which means your bootloader is possibly messed.

Nothing at all
Hi everyone, fisrt of all happy new year tooo all the mates in this awesome forum.
Well, my problem is kind of weird, ive never faced such a problem with my hox, or any other smartphone.
My phone was running well, then it turned off,it was discharged (my phone always shuts down whet it hits 10% or below,i need to take out the sim card or airplane mode so it dosent shuts down),ive plugged it to charge, icould see it charging,but..after that....my phone JUSTE DIED.
It suddenly started bootlooping, always says battery is tooo low to flash from the bootloader, and it never goes below the htc quietly brilliant logo, but when i try like a loot of time, it goes trought it, loads my rom, but as soon as i can see the home screeen,it turns off.....always....its been 3 days im stuck ..... ive looked alll arond the forum but couldnt find any fix....
I am able to access bootloader, but no recovery, ive tried to flash several different recoveries, but it always shows black screen(turns off) when loading recovery....
I still havent tried to re-lock the bootlader and go trought it all again flashing a stock rom and all (even if im pessimistic about if it is oing to fix it)
cuz i do really have preecious data on my hox, i would like to save the content of the internal storage before re-locking it.
Is it a software issue? batterie issue? but, ive tried discharging my hox while letting it in the bootloader, and...it just didnt shut off randomly, it kept alive for about an hour..... then i plugged my phone to charge ,left it be for the whole night, got the greeen light, and still the same problem.....
also(when i get the phone to load, ive seen the last time that my battery was like 53%, and then it just shut down..
i have also tried cvharging it via fastboot reboot method...same issue....
Please, help me guys, I really, reaaally need your help,i was ssooo satisfied with this phone, i cannot afford myself another one right know, and i dont have any warranty....im confused :crying::crying:
Phone running on Viperx 4.0.6 with original kernel.
Thanks in advance.
Please Im really stuck out here, i would like, at least, be able to access CWM or the storage so i could backup everything end then Re-lock and stock.
