Signal problem. - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi everyone. I bought a used arc s. The problem is that it loses signal most of the time. Its a LT18i model with a rom LT18a could this be a reason? And I am living in a GSM area.

Xperia Arc Imei Unlock?

Hey guys, I recently purchased a Xperia Arc from the net for a very cheap price and it turned out the phone was Imei locked (duh),
My question is, is there a way to unlock it or a solution like rebel sim or something?
Thanks in advance!

You wont jnow it untill you try it...

Flashing a "a" firmware on a "i" device won't change hardware...
You need the "a" hardware to get the other 3G frequencies.

So what your telling me is I have no choice but to send it back ?
If you want 3G you need a LT18a for America, so yes.

And this is for certain ?
Have a look at page 7 in this document and you'll see that the a-version and the i-dito support different networks.

If your operator doesn't support the ones listed for the i-version it will unfortuantely not work.

LT28i firmware and other carriers?

Can I use the ATT Ion flashed with international firmware on another network? Either t-mobile or simple mobile?
No because the at&t ion is still sim locked.

bug of signal strength under setting?

does anybody notice that? my device is working fine, but...
when you go to setting - about phone - status, my signal strength is ALWAYS showing 0 dBm and 0 asu
my build number is 6.0.F.0.111
or maybe it's just my xperia ion that's having this problem? flashing another rom doesn't solve this problem.
I'm flashed international ROM. And same problem like you have. But everything working fine with full bars. Can someone with original ATT rom post info about signal status?

I think it only shows 0 when on LTE. I am usually on hspa and it shows a signal level but I just looked now connected to LTE and it does show 0.

C6903 versus c6905 baseband

Does anyone know what exactly is the difference between both basebands across firmwares? I tried both on my c6905 and I always get LTE, even when using the Global baseband.
