Ok so here's the story. I have been using HO!NO!'s cm9 roms since the first one came out. But today i flashed the newest one (v6) and also decided I would format my SD card. Then everything started to go wrong. The phone has horrible lag, like i can do a few actions for 4 seconds and then it freezes again for 30 seconds. CWM won't show any files when I try to reflash the ROM via CWM. I have tried 2 other SD cards in the phone and the same thing happens. The lag doesn't go away either when I remove the SD card. I have CWM 5.8.2.0. I am not really sure what to do at this point. If you need any more information to help me, please ask.
Update: I factory restored the phone and I'm still having the same problems.
Can someone please help i have the same problem
Try reformatting the SD card on your pc

ok so first off im running clockworkMod Recovery v2.6.0.1 i was trying to flash a new rom VR kingdom A01(the new htc evo 3d look) the rom so big it call for partition of the sd card to allow apps to download from the market. i partition my card and how ever i did or what ever i did i lost everything theres noithing on my card i cant even boot up stock if i try it gets stuck on a black screen that says android in blue writting help is my phone bricked?????
So first of all, yes, I'm afraid you did lose everything on your card. Repartitioning the card will wipe all data from the card. You needed to back it up first.
However, that shouldn't be causing your phone not to boot. Try some or all of the following:
- Booting with the SD card removed
- Wiping data
- Reflashing the ROM
Someone doesn't read... any way that is normal to loose everything but I don't think ur bricked. Just dl from a PC and place on the SD and flash. But unless u backed up ur SD u DID loose everything and will have to start from scratch.
nobody calls my EVO a fizzle and gets away with it!!
thank u i did what u said i believe it was a problem with the rom and on top of me clearing my sd card. flashed a differnit rom and all is good thanks again!
How long did you let it sit at that screen? 5 minutes? 10 minutes? Try just letting it sit there for a while...and I mean a long while. Like, after you flash and hit reboot, go take a poop or make a sammich (no euphamism intended). If, after a good long, while (say, 20-30 minutes) you still have not booted, then do a batt pull. Also, keep in mind that that rom will reboot twice before booting completely. This is normal.
im running A01 and not having to problem there is still need alot of work but over all its works ok... the gfx fix made the rom alot better.
now when i upgraded to a02.. i could take it had to switch back to a01.
I rooted my HTC Droid Incredible with Android 2.2 using unrevoked, but did not flash a new rom. Everything worked fine. My SD card crapped out a couple of days ago, so that it becomes corrupt every time the phone reboots. I've since tried to flash skyraider 4.0 and others, but to no avail. I tried to factory reset all of the data on my phone, but it just reboots with all of my information in tact.
Does anyone have any idea what's wrong or what the hell I should do to fix it?

Well, I have no idea what's wrong, but try mounting the SD card to PC from in recovery and see if that lets you flash
Make sure sd is formatted FAT32

and if reformatting does not work, swap out sd cards and you should be good as new.
Strange issues!!
I’m in need of some help!! I have a droid inc that was rooted for many months with no issues. I wanted to change the boot animation. To do this I was instructed to get a root explorer which from the market. I need to move the “bootanimation” file from the sd to the “system/media” folder. After doing this the device lost connection to many of the apps. They no longer showed as being installed on the device. I could no longer “install or uninstall” anything. When trying to restore apps from titanium backup I needed to reinstall them because the had lines through them as thought they were not installed, but the apps get stuck on “installing” I tried formatting the card and recopying the data back to it but that didn’t help, so I tried to wipe the device. Doing this I was able to re download titanium backup but still the same problem with the apps getting stuck on install. Finally I unrooted the device back to a stock rom at jonsuh.com/2011/01/unroot-your-droid-incredible/[/url] I now have installed the drivers and ran the unrevoked3 rom but I get hung up on the “installing unrevoked3 service” Please help me to get my dinc back to a working order where I can restore my titanium backup files.
So my Desire is bootlooping since last night :s tried flashing multiple roms, it goes to boot animation and stays there. also tried formatting my 32gb card and re partitioning and everything, still no luck. The only thing that works are nandroid backups, but even those got wiped when I formated the sd card. Any suggestions guys? :crying: Recovery is 4ext 1.0.0.5 RC9
EDIT: Flashed Rooted Stock GB and it worked .... but other ROMs refuse to boot, and even in the stock ROM it says I have low storage space even though I just booted...
EDIT 2: So I think I found the problem, my data partition is full, although I've performed several wipes :\ does anyone know anything that may have caused this? it's very odd and although there are workarounds like flashing another hboot, I wish I didn't have to lose that much space on my phone.

try a different sdcard because not so long ago i was using an 8gb sandisk sdcard and i started getting bootloops and i too reflashed roms, re partitioned my sdcard but nothing, still bootloops, rom freezing/restarting etc then i tried another sdcard, flashed the same download of the rom and it worked fine after that. so maybe ur sdcard got corrupt some how.
There may be some hidden files left over on your SD card.
Connect it to a PC, enable to view hidden files and see if anything is left out.

I have tried another card, the result is the same, the partition I cant wipe is internal. Flashed cm7 hboot and it boots and works normally, has it expands the data partition. Is there anything I can do to format the data partition? I've tried anything, and flashing the cm7 hboot is but a workaround and limits the ROM I can flash to my phone :\
So like the title says, I lost my SD card access today. I'm not blaming the nitest kernel, but it's the last thing I installed from TWRP so I'm at a loss for the cause. So far I've tried (without success):
Formatting SD card in PC
Using several different SD cards
Trying to mount in CWM and TWRP and Stock Recovery
Flash FC09 Stock from Odin
blow on it
Is there any other cause that could point to this? I didn't drop it or take a hit to it the day it happened, so i find it hard to believe the hardware just "died".

Very strange indeed. My gut says hardware failure, but I'd give this thread some time for others to read and give input.

Ok, this is really weird...
So I'm here on my freshly ODIN'd FC09 stock image, sitting still on my desk, nothing out of the ordinary.
I start installing apps remotely from the play store, and while the apps are downloading and installing I get a media scanner notification, followed by a mounted SD card.
CWM/TWRP now fully recognize the card, it seems like its seemingly back to normal.
While I'm happy it's working again, I'm no closer to actually figuring out what really happened. The physical contacts are all cleaned, and no physical deformities are seen. It seems I will be perpetually living in fear of my SD card randomly failing.
If anyone else has had this happen, I'd love to know the background on how it happened. I'm sorry to everyone else who googles this looking for a fix, it seems like I just got lucky...
I've had my Inc2 since 2011 and have flashed different ROMs more than I can count.
In the last 2 weeks, I keep getting SD Card was removed messages.
I reboot and its back. I figured the SD Card was dying on me...
Since then, I've switched to a NEW SD Card and am having the same troubles, but more frequently, like everyday.
In fact it took and hour to get it to work again yesterday.
Anybody know whats going on?
I'm running the same ROM I've had for months, I've used a couple different ones over the weekend to see if that was the issue... It's not.
I've cleaned all the contacts and blown our the SD Slot.
Is she dead Jim? or am I missing something?
Have u tried using a different rom?
If u installed the original SD card incorrectly on the same rom maybe it's remembering that?

Assumed that you've already saved contents on your mSD card, wipe it clean on a PC/Mac/Linux OS (Fat or Fat32) then put it back on the DI2,
boot into recovery - wipe dalvik & cache, REFORMAT the mSD card - then boot up normally.
What Rom are you running? If above steps still do not work, try a Master Reset from the Rom before doing a Clean & Fresh Install of the Rom.
Keep a watch on error messages on the screen as you do all these & post your results, good luck !

Been Runnin Miui for the last year. No changes on phone.
SD card acts like it was pulled. Have to poweroff and remove battery to have it back.
A reboot into recovery still doesn't give me access to the card.
I've also tried different SD cards with the same results.
Anyone reading this with this problem, try returning to stock recovery and rom with the pg83.IMG(I think that's the name) and try doing a factory reset in stock recovery. My SD card works after that

This problem has gotten worse. And most of the time the SD card isn't even available in recovery either.

Yeah that's about what my problem was. Usually if you go for about a day without an SD card in, it will most likely recognize it again. If not, I could usually tap the back of the phone on a table, down near the bottom where the SD port is.
If that still doesn't work, you'll have to fastboot flash the return to stock image
My theory on this problem is that after flashing Roms/s-off and messing with stuff eventually corrupts some part of the filesystem. You might also try following the guide to unroot and s-on to see if that works, though that will be a little harder.
Flashing the ICS firmware didn't help.
Guess I'll have to try going the long way around...

Well Then...
Got the PG32IMG factory restore... that was a wash. Got everything but s-on done... and upon getting through the setup... SD Card removed unexpectedly.
So had to use ADP and FASTBOOT to get a recovery installed and back to square one.

Did you try doing a factory reset with stock recovery though?
I've read about some people with roaming problems on their HTC one, and flashing the stock recovery back and doing a factory reset fixed it.
Sooo give that a try if you haven't already
Edit: that probably sound un related but maybe after messing around with HTC devices they get mad and sabotage themselves haha. But seriously though. I messed around with the return to stock image a couple months ago, and I could get it work for a very short time, like you experienced. But just the other day I entered stock recovery mode from bootloader and it started doing a factory reset on it own. After it started up it recognized an SD card when I put it in and i then fastboot flashed a custom recovery(not cwm or twrp can't thnk of the name) then I flashed the andromadus mimicry ICS ROM that was still on the SD card and right now I've been playing music off it for about an hour and it seems to be fine
