Hi,
as in the topic - is it possible to uninstall stock appz without root (superuser)?
If so (hopefully), which soft can I use and which appz can I delete?
Hi
No without root you cannot completely uninstall them
You can just "disable" them in the "Apps" settings
then they will not show up as app.
Regards
max
thx, well good to know.
by disabling them you mean that 1. they won't be visible in app menu and 2. they won't start with startup?
can I disable any of them?

You need to find the app that is causing it and uninstall it in market, did you install Locale?
how can I know which app did this without uninstalling all then reinstalling to find the cause? Not very efficient.
Yes I bought locale.

What he said...retrace your steps in the Market App and one by one uninstall the most recent apps until you find the culprit.

Local has been known to cause this. Uninstall it, and also any plug-ins it installed and then check your app manager.
I've got the same problem. Also installed locale.
For now I cant be bothered to uninstall. But I can access Manage Applications via Task Manager (com.futonredemption.taskmanager).
Menu > More > Manage Applications
But if you find the culprit I'd be interested to know.
It prolly is locale + meeting plug-in
But since the phone is working well, and I can manage apps through app brain, I will not take any further action.
I have the same problem and have locale installed.
Slightly annoying - hopefully they will fix it.
You know what. I realized I have locale calendar plug in installed and turns out its a paid app. I found it on the net and thought it was a free app.
So maybe because its a "cracked" app I cannot access the manage applications.
I disabled it but unfortunately it isn't as easy as re-tracing your steps. How do I enable it again. I'm not rooted by the way.
did you remove any apps from it?
if not, go to Settings->Applications->Manage applications->Launcher and select clear defaults, if you use a launcher other than Android's, replace "Launcher" above with the appropriate launcher, hit home, select use by default, and click HTC Sense
You're the man dude.
I have installed RDMP app from Google Play, which is a device administrator app. I am unable to uninstall it. I tried to deactivate it from SETTINGS->DEVICE ADMINISTRATION but after pressing deactivate button, it cannot be unchecked and thus I am unable to remove it.
I am currently on b506.
Any help.

If your device is rooted use Root Uninstaller. You can uninstall system apps.

In System apps there is no app with the name RDMP so that I can uninstall.

Hi guys, i have the same problem whit my G8. I can't find the retail demo in any folder. How can i delete it?
YESSSSSSS !!!! i find !!!!
i do a search in root explorer, in search i write apk and in the results there is. So i delete it and i solved the problem!!
I also managed to find the retail demo application using 'root explorer' but it's not giving me any options to force delete the application. If i delete the individual system files of the application, would i cause stability issues with the phone?
With the Android M update, "Battery Optimization" has appeared in the Power menu of Settings.
When I go inside, it shows: "Battery optimization: not optimized".

When click in "Battery optmization" and select "All apps" it shows the following:

But if I quit this screen and then go back, it shows "Not optimized" again. I can't make this configuration stay.
Anyone knows a solution for this?

It isnt a configuration, it only shows u the apps that are and aren't optimized and by default it always shows u the apps that are not optimized just in case u needed to delete or optimize them manually if they aren't ofcourse system apps which can't be modified by default

I have this circle showing up on my phone (attached picture)
Not sure why or how it all started. I already did. Factory reset and it won't disappeared or help solve the problem. I have a full Kaspersky Antivirus (Paid one) working. I did full scan but came with nothing wrong. However, this thing is annoying. Sometime it automatically select or open an app or something by it self whenever it appeared. So I think I may have to do with. Virus. I just need an help to get rid of it. Thanks
Heh, not a virus. In Developer's options (in phone Settings) you have the option enabled to "Show taps" (under Input).
I checked on that but nothing of such... See attached
Go to Accessibility options, and see if you have "Assistant menu" and if it is on, turn it off.
Do you have ES File Explorer? If so, disable ES Swipe.
No I don't have an ES file explorer.

How about my other suggestion?
Or look for other 3rd party apps. But you said you did factory reset, which would have wiped out any installed apps. The white dot appeared after factory reset, even before any apps were installed?
May be Google Maps!
Try to remove Google Maps and then report back!
I do not have the Google map on my phone.

Yes it does. I checked on 3rd party app. Still the same Damm thing
You didn't answer the subsequent question. Tough to help, when I have to keep repeating myself:

Also, how are you doing factory reset? Do you have no 3rd party apps after factory reset, and you have to setup all your user settings again? And this issue still appears?
