All of them are stable enough to use for daily use.

I've used the ICS reloaded ROM and the gedeROM. ICS reloaded is ok, a bit unstable at times and for whatever reason sucks the battery dry in no time, even on standby. gedeROM was much more stable for me, and just as smooth as my phone's CM9 ROM. Just read reviews in the development threads before you decide, most are pretty stable at this point. Also, if you're feeling adventurous, check out hash's JB ROM, I flashed it last night and it's incredibly slick and buttery smooth, pun intended of course.

I just started with rooting but found |Glazed ICS|3.0 Kernel| to work for me

In my opinion, CM9 by twa_priv is he best ICS ROM out there. It's updated very often, is extremely stable and works smoothly.

There are many good ones. I've used Gede (solid), Energy (didn't work out for me), and I'm currently on Glazed which I'd recommend giving a shot.

(Q) best Rom for wife

Ok I need a recommendation for a stable Rom for my wife. I've moved on to the rezound and haven't been keeping up with the development for the incredible for a few months. She needs something super stable and good on battery. At the moment she's on ice cream sense and wants something new. Are any if the ics roms stable enough at the moment for a noob to run?
Sent from my ADR6425LVW using Tapatalk 2
I personally recommend CM7.2 (RC3 released today) but as far as ICS goes, even though it doesn't have HWA, AOKP is probably the most stable i've seen so far for the inc.
Good Luck!
Yeah I had cm7 on it for a while and I may go back to it. Any others I should look at?

Had no idea RC3 was available, appreciate the notice.
CM7.2 is the way to go if you want stable, quick, and easy to use all in one. I have tried and used CM9 alpha and it is a damn fine rom. Everything worked for me that I use (never tried the camera) so my ICS vote goes to that. I prefer CM7.2 for my daily use cuz I had an issue or two with the ICS roms that I wasn't willing to compromise on.

I actually prefer CM9 to AOKP for HWA and overall appearance but AOKP has had a lot of the customization features that I look for in a ROM, I still use CM7.2 as my daily though because it has everything I want and has amazing battery performance.
I put miui on my girls inc a few months ago n she loves it. It's running nice too with tinys kernel n uv'ed. She gets good battery life. The themes I think is probably wat makes it nice for her, a lot of options.

Out of all of the ROMs that I've tried, Ice Cream Sense had the best battery life by far. I've been on Evervolv 2.2.0a2 with the latest Incredikernel beta (with HWA) for 24 hours now and while its not the greatest on battery life, its extremely smooth, fast, and stable. No random reboots as of yet. Definitely recommend it! Just my 2¢...
Update: battery life isn't really all that great with this new Evervolv. I'm still gonna give it a run for a bit and see how it works out. So far, so good... other than the battery.
Sent from my Droid Incredible using XDA
As far as customization and looks go for her, I would go with Miui. Definitely throw tiny's kernel on there though as the battery life isn't the best, at least in my experience. Can't go wrong with CM7.2 as well!
Thanks for the suggestions guys. I tried miui but she didn't like it at all. So I flashed cm7 and she's happy again.

yeah the people here are awesome come back
And I dont know how it is for other phones, but I am impressed at the amount of work amateur (meaning not making money out of it...) devs put into custom roms and kernels for the droid inc.
It is unbelievable and gives life to the phone!! It is the whole reason I have not upgraded my phone even though I have had an upgrade available for 3 months.I am not planning on doing so until my inc dies.

I would say "Use p10 Nikez rom, its far more stable than any gingerbread rom" but I don't feel like trolling today lol
Nick's Phone Compiled From Oxy/Roalex With Mods, cm7r2 hboot
Very fast and stable
CM based roms seem to be stable and fast for most users.
Try them if you think "oxygen" is good but a little "naked".
On topic: I'm using MildWild 5.0. Fast, stable, looks good.
Troll-topic: Shaky's Sense 4.0 rom. Most stable I've ever seen.

Nikez?
I have tried Sandvold's ROM (ICS) for a long time but switched to Nikez. Stable, clean and fast.
If you want to try: install i.e. 4EXT as recovery and stick to install-instructions and partitioning.
Also on Nikez site.
Goog luck!
i never knew "Pre Alpha" means....

True, true, you're right: it's pre-alpha. And I was talking about Nikez JB P10.
As a 'normal user' of P10 I am very satisfied with this ROM and I do have some experience with other ROM's (not only Sandvold). Only a few things (thing?) does not work. Also, the forum-thread of Nikez JB P10 reads (almost) same opinions - if you filter the problems with installing 3d party scripts.
Even remarks as 'worht beta' can be read.
My suggestion is user-to-user (SeeZaar), from my point-of-view as a Desire-JB P10 user.
Cheers!

You should try JB/CM10 Elk759`s, I like it.

for stability and speed i would heartily recommend redux2-31.08-test which is a stripped gingerbread rom which i used exclusively for over a year. it has a wicked pull-down notification bar full of custom shortcuts. very stable despite the test title.
if you're looking for an ICS flavour i'd agree with earlier recommendations for spaze dog. i found it a bit more complicated to install successfully but once up & running it's been faultless.
hope that helps.
Coolexe's Cool Droid v3.
By reading those threads one could believe we have fully working & bug free ICS + JB. :silly:

Which Rom is your DailyDriver and why?

I've tried almost every rom out there but just keep coming back to Blazer or Kyan for my daily satisfactions without frustrations
ATT GS3
White Hot! GS3.
Tried several, AOKP e.g. but none had the full functionality of Diet ICS where literally everything works. It has been my DD for months now, practically the longest I've ever had a rom. Though I'm still waiting for a truly stable JB.

Plus I get to pick what's in the ROM with the aroma installer.

Was running blazer rom bit switched to Ariel as dev is on hold for a bit. Then after 2.09 Ariel I went stock and rooted. I tried AOKP and a dozen other roms but none were super stable or offered the functionality that stock did. So waiting it out for official jb and hoping for something better. I really wish we had a team perfection rom like I had on the note. That was my dd

Has anyone tried wanam vs Ariel ? Which is more stable and smooth ?
What : AOKP 10-13-3012 paired with ktoonez KT747 kernel
Why : smooth as silk, nothing i've tried to do hasn't not worked (yes thats a double negative, thats how awesome it is) and paired with the undervolting capabilities of KT747 the battery life is amazing
What more could you ask for in a rom/kernel combo.....other than maybe a sammich
I've used PA, CM10 and AOKP, but im on SlimBean for now. Use to use CM10 as DD but its been very buggy lately. Tried PA for a few weeks but hybrid mode is nothing special, and AOKP had bad battery life for me. SlimBean is ok, not the best but good enough to be a DD. Battery Life is decent. Never tried Baked rom yet but it looks interesting...
I don't really feel like I have a DD just yet. I'm still going thru the searching process for one. For a while, I was using Blazer, then I switched to a couple different JB leaks. I ran a couple different versions of Drew Garen's JB Roms: Milestones 2, 3 & 3.5. They weren't stable enough for me to use daily because of too many force closes and random re-boots. Then I switched to Graffixnyc's BlackJelly: Versions 0.6, 0.7 & 0.8.
I like the theming done in BlackJelly. But lately in V0.8, I've been getting random re-boots. I'm going to test drive Serinity next (probably flash it later today).
I'm really just hopping around sampling everyone elses theming until the official JB is released, then I will probably flock to the one I liked best with a stable ROM. By the way, I don't use any touchwiz, I prefer to use Nova Launcher.
I haven't tried any CM10 or AOKP yet. I'll probably do that when it moves away from nightlies (not that the JB leaks are more stable by any means).
I use liquid rc5, tried switching to pa 2.21, and aokp build 4, but nothing seems to work as well as liquid. New play store installed and working, and as well as jb flash player. Battery is good, but and i never had strong 4G where I'm at, and but I get 5 bars consistently here with liquid. I love it as a daily.

[Q] What is a solid stable ROM for a light user?

My GF now has the S3, and she's very light in terms of tech savy. I flashed a CM10 nightly build for her to start her phone out, but it's been hanging and lagging a bit from time to time, and that more than anything else bothers her.
Should i just put her back on stock, or is there a great option that isn't so cutting edge but will be sure to be bug free and solid and smooth for her?
The issue is it's not in my hands so i can't play around with it a lot to test and see, she'll just complain if it doesn't work perfect lol.
I'd say Ariel or Kyan rom for normal use and you can throw on KT747 ICS touchwiz kernel as well. I wouldn't do any of the JB based roms atm if you want pure stability.

I like Slim ROM but it really comes down to personal preference. Take a couple hours and flash a couple different ones. Does she want TW or pure Android. There are just so many choices...it might be an interesting experience getting her to participate in the testing since it is her phone.

+1 for Task/Ktoonsez AOKP JB ROM - its flawless!
+1 for kyan. All the jellybean roms are sweet but always had issues with video recording (very low audio). For a lite user I would say stick to ICS.

If she likes CM10, I suggest flashing the "M" versions as those are the monthly stable builds (latest one was around 15th of October). Anyways AOKP is good, it was released a week or so ago and I find it very stable and battery life is better than CM10 (in my own experience). Anyways just do whatever she likes. Most people recommend Kyan so do whatever she or you want.
Stock 4.0.4 works near perfect for me. It is under rated. I have disabled bloatware and added some tweaks but honestly, it rocks fine. Ultra reliable. I am a guy who spent over 1.5years tweaking with my legendary HD2...using custom kernels and cm roms, and never 100% happy...yet the S3 out of the box...kicks butt.
BlackJelly if you want JB. kyanRom if you want ICS.
To the guy who said BlackJelly was poor for battery life: I just went over 5 hrs of screen time with it. It's amazing.

Thinking of just upgrading her to stock JB now that's it's available. I would love to flash a rom but since she will only complain about problems, not really notice advantages, I lean towards keeping her stock. Unless there's a hands down choice that will be STABLE

Really smooth ROM?

I've tried a lot of roms, almost all of them claimed that it's a smooth rom, but most of the times it wasn't smooth at all.
So I'd like to use a really smooth rom. It doesn't have to be based on Android 4.2.2, I'm happy with ICS or even GB if it's really going to be smooth. I almost never use my phone, but when I do, I'd like it to be fast.
