Anyone else have this issuse on blazer v0.1.3?
I set my ringtone to what i want but when the phone rings it goes to a unknown ringtone. Any help is greatly appreciated
The ringtone changes to ringtone called unknown ring tone.
Nothing seems to work
Are you using a custom ringtone or one of the default ones? Which rom are you using btw?

Ah gotcha that must be what the problem is.
The ringtone should be copied over to your SD in the folder:
media/audio/ringtones
Then you just select it like you would select a normal ringtone from settings/sound.
ok ill try that. thank you sir
Its still changes when I get a phone call. I'm stumped on this one

All the ringtones are pretty loud on the epic, just wondering if there was a way to make the ringer volume louder? Or maybe an app that would render your ringers with a decible boost.

There's an old volume hack out there. I can't remember who or where though. The file name Samsung_galaxy's_volumehack, if remember correctly. But you may want to check with your ROM dev .....I know a few ROM's have this hack built in

Ok so I am on eco5 using srf 1.2 and genocide 1.1.1. Does this rom/kernal have the loudness hack already installed? If it does not there are two files to download in the link, do I need them both? Do I just put them on my sd card and flash them?

As the title states, I am unable to hear voice on my end of a call or on the other end of both incoming and outgoing calls with the INC3PTION rom. I am not sure what is causing this as it only happens with certain callers, yet I do not have CID. All help is appreciated.

Are you using v1 or v2?
;~; I should've known to put that in the first post. I am using v1. I'd rather not use Back n Black as I'm not too fond of the theme.
U need to replace the phone.apk with another... look through the forum and u will find the apk and such.. but if u don't want to all u have to do is mute nd unmute and it works.. but have to do it on every call

Thanks phatryan69, that helped. I actually have to toggle speaker to get it working but still, it works. That's a weird bug... Oh well thanks anyways!
Yea that was a bug that was in v1... if u just read and replace it it will fix it. Try page 13 maybe? Or just take the apk out of another rom and replace. I would do it for ya but my cpu took a dump and harddrive fried and to lazy to go get another one lol

Ok, this makes NO SENSE. I have been using CM9 RC1 since it was posted with no problems. Yesterday, in the middle of my day, when my phone rang, the ringtone was different. I looked at it and it was one of the cm9 ringtones. CM9 will not recognize my custom ringtone i have been using now for years in the ringtone folder. Any suggestions? I did a complete reflash from square one and still no luck.
Is the ringtone showing up in the list, just not playing? If so, the system can't find it on the SD card and is reverting to the default tone. Try defragging your SD card or backing up and reformatting.

updating permissions seems to correct this glitch. at least it did this time. not sure why it happened in the first place.
If you want to have louder volume Flash this zip. It was developed by Meltus SG3 Developer but it works on our phone. You can flash the zip or open the zip and place default.gain file to system/etc. and reboot afterwards to hear the difference it really works great with headphones. If you want to change the volume find 'AIF1 Boost volume' and change value from anything 1 to 63. You can edit the files yourself to the volume you want it to be but anything over 63 might break the sound so don't push it. I have mine on set to 60 with PowerAmp it's superloud and I love it LOUD!!!! More info go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1722136&page=1
Did everything you said and working great. Got it set at 60 also and loving it. Thanks

Does it matter which recovery you use? I use TWRP and it keeps giving me the flash failed error message. This is actually the first file I have tried flashing since I switched from CWM to TWRP. I can just place it in the system folder no problem. Just curious if this is a know issue with TWRP.
So I edited all the AIF1 Boost volumes to 55... it didn't seem to make a difference. Is 55 too low.? I sent it to the pc and edited it in text pad.. Then emailed it back to myself. Then I used root explorer to put it in system /etc.

I did this also. No change, I am using Darkside TW based rom. I wonder if that matters. This doesn't really seem to do anything. My wife has the exact phone as me so I have a reference point to compare. There is no difference between her phone volume and mine.
The Zip file has a problem, it doesn't want to install and I downloaded 2 times already. Please fix it and re upload it.
Thanks

I noticed in the file there are some lines that indicate you could adjust the in call volume. If you also adjust this to 60 would that work? Is this mod designed to accomplisht that?
Ok has anyone got this to work?i compared the default zip to the 63 zip and i don't see any difference and the file you said to change is still at 0....i don't get it and also the 63 zip had other files in Chinese what do they do?

Actually, I flashed this and there is NO difference in volume sound what-so-ever.
And ACTUALLY, I never found any sound "tweaks" that really worked, except
the app. Volume+ version 1.7.1. (Please remember the Version, as any version higher than that will NOT work).
So, if you REALLY want loud, LOUD sound, try Volume+ V1.7.1!!!!
And for the OP, please take the Volume+ v.1.7.1.apk and see why it is the only
one that REALLY makes a difference in volume LOUDNESS...
It seems that nobody can reproduce that performance yet....(Are you man enough for that challenge??)

What ROM/firmware are we talking about? Else, do not expect an answer from us.
This happend to me a few times when I was on stock, I was using a custom Text & Ringtone that was on my SD-Card
I always went back to original ringtone (boring SE) and in the settings it was blank.
I later found out it was due to the SD-card mounting slowly or something, so I moved the Ringtones to the Phones internal memory and haven't had a problem with it since.
That works
