[Q] AOSP Device tree for One X

A couple of things need to happen in order to port aosp to one x
1) some work needs to be started to get an AOSP device tree for the One X (I'm sure someone's already started this)
2) that tree needs to be very stable and the authors of it (or someone the authors give permission to) maintain AOKP and get it working
-or-
Someone wants to donate (or start a donation drive) for us to get a One X (or two! ) and have us try and work on getting AOKP on it. No promises will be made.
what are the requirements of getting aosp device tree??
has any devs started??

Trip is banned form here anyway so it won't be on here if he does release it...

i'm waiting so desperatly for a cm9/aosp rom for the HOX.. i can't stand sense.

Good lord...the phone has been out for less than a month. Relax guys. AOSP will come as it does to every phone worthy of it. There are still many weird things going on with this phone that need to be worked out before people start whining about AOSP ROMs.
I don't think starting a donation drive is a good idea as that has ended badly on this forum before.

I've been attempting to port AOKP from the Asus Transformer Prime. It seems he may have gone a similar route if its showing tablet references.
Hopefully his work will encourage more developers to appear from the woodwork doing similar things, as I've yet to see a single stable release from Trip, despite his obvious developmental literacy.

Miui v4 is easy.. I will port once we have cm9...I have little knowledge of building from source but porting miui once we have cm9 from source or anything is easy

I thought I'd just throw it out here if anyone wanted to continue of something that's almost working. I don't really care about the credits or anything like that. I just want a MIUI rom

i need more people on CM9 at the mo, w\out my device im buggered...there's only 1 person at the moment who replied to my request in the CM9 thread for people to build\edit the source

Two Android Development sections???

In the HTC One X forum, their are now two subforums for development, one is 'One X Android Development,' and the other is 'One X original Android Development.'
Why was the latter one made? Please let me know as I'm really curious and confused :S

Yes, but Sense ROMs are original as well, and isnt your ROM as well? So why arent they there? ? And Interp's CM9 is original like tbalden's as well, yet it isnt there, why? :S

weird thing why is the cm9 build there that is not original at all there are other pure cm9 builds?
and why are my ROM and ParanoidAndroid not there instead?
the mods failed with organizing it i think...

First of all this thread doesn't belong here.
Secondly I kinda get the point. It should include stuff that is "original" meaning that it's being developed from scratch for the One X.
From that logic, it should only include AOSP builds and kernels. The organization has indeed failed. Mods owe the devs some sort of an explanation as to what constitutes "Original Android Development".
And it doesn't even show up in TapaTalk so that's another headache.

Yes, and if it doesnt appear, simply remove the One X Forums from favorites and re add it, should work, worked for me on the XDA Premium app.

I like the concept but "Create Thread" should be disabled in Original Development section atleast for non-RD's . Only I moderators feels like it belongs there they can move it.

He deleted his twitter account. I sent him an email, I'll report back if I hear from him. He's where most/all our HTC leaks came from as well as most Sense based ROMs are based on his deoxes.

This is very strange indeed, I only installed this rom a few days ago. Went looking for an update and it is gone. Usually people have the courtesy to say they will stop supporting it, and the fact no xda mods have commented is also very strange. Why can't users download it even if it's unsupported? And why are there trolls in this thread..

not sure but could be HTC tracking the RUUs. They went berserk when the JB beta was leaked (nothing to do with football). wouldn't surprise me if its them flexing their muscles.
(and too the trolls, there is no need for that crap!!!)
