Hey folks,
I've recently found out that sometimes when I post a picture from the phone to Picasa it is not completely loaded, meaning the lower bottom of the uploaded pic in Picasa is grey. This happen only for photos that have a fine or superfine resolution (ie never happened for photos 640x480 or 1024x768) and then only for some pictures.
There is no error raised during data transmission from Desire.
Initially thought this was a data receive problem on Picasa server but repeating the upload from the phone of pic in Picasa looks still incomplete.
The same photo moved to PC and loaded from Picasa web interface shows no such issue.
I wonder if anyone else had the same experience and if a solution has been found.
I'm using HTC Desire stock (unbranded) firmware 2.1-update1.
Cheers

I've had this issue, same as you but with stock T-Mobile rom (with 3D Gallery installed)
I've had this issue as well....using gallery3d I think
me too. Stock HTC vanilla rom with the gallery from the nexus one installed. Only happened once, but when it did happen, that one photo repeatedly did the same thing despite looking OK in the Photo app - bottom third was grey.
Me too... Several times.
I am also having this problem with some photos after installing N1 3D gallery (with my previous Motorola Milestone and the same 3D gallery I had no such an issue). It is not just the gallery it is also whole picassa uploader - the same problem occures when i try to upload some photos from stock photo gallery to picasa.
Happened to me also.
Any solutions for this?
I tried to upload via wireless and 3g - same result.
Leedroid 2.2f, Radio 5.10.05.23
Has anyone found a solution to this problem? Currently on a stock ROM on VZW Incredible, Froyo, updated PicasaTool app.
The grey bar on uploads essentially makes the app useless. Thanks
Dan
Same issue here, with desire, desire z and desire hd.
I have this issue with my T-Mobile Sensation 4G, too. Re-uploading the photo sometimes works (but not always).
i dont understand why doesnt google figure out this problem already
Hi,
I was curious if there is some way to get decent photos for caller ID? I have exchange & get that it is trying to limit photos to 96x96 but is there some way to get around that?
Does exchange 2010 support larger photos?
Thanks,
Rich
I know this has been addressed before, but I'm sleepy and don't feel like searching through the forums.
Essentially, it has something to do with the way Sense handles those photos. To get nice, crisp photos in your caller ID, you have to use a photo that is already on your device (camera pic, transferred from your PC over USB, email/MMS, etc.), and assign them to your contacts.
If you use your desktop Exchange client to add photos, they will appear terrible.
Hi,
I am wondering if there is any posibility to register own target (application) in Sense to be able to post photos from camera and albums to my own site. something similar to current ability to post photos on facebook.
Is there any API to register own uploader or how this is handled? Or is it even possible?
(targeted devices are runnning WinMo 6.5 with HTC Sense 2.5)
I tried to use google but nothing
Thanks for any advice
Vladimir
Hi since I went on 4.1.2 JB the picture quality of Haxsync is to a low quality like if it was synced from Facebook.
Maybe the app needs to be updated for 4.1.2 or am I just the only one experiencing this ????
Same problem here
Ok saw this one Facebook :
Seems like the issue with contact images suddenly being low-res is caused by a bug in the Facebook platform. I reported the issue here: https://developers.facebook.com/bugs/101375106690452, feel free to suscribe for updates there.
Let's hope they get this fixed asap!
Nice. Thx.
Hello guys, I am looking for the faces sorting in photo gallery. Need to say I **** on the Google photos - they have this option only on the cloud and I wanna sort photos in my phone not somewhere on the server. If I remeber right the old versions of android have this option, but now there is nothing like that....
