Couldn't find a topic on it ( might be blind) but does the jb boot loader have issues with ICS?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
I don't think the bootloader has changed with JB. The bootloader is (AFAIK) device specific, so it's not tied to a particular Android version or ROM.
You can flash an ICS rom while on the JB bootloader without problems.
Well apparently ICS won't work with job boot loader o.o so say my gnex

Then you are doing something wrong.
Don't see how, flash boot loader and enjoy. Jb works fine but when I flash ICS it doesn't work, IDC just reflashed ics one and both work fine. Perhaps bad download? Idk

The Android on its back with the ! symbol is the stock recovery.
By the way, there was never a stock 4.0.3 ROM for the GNex.

Done did it, thanks guys.
I am wondering if I flash a stock ROM to my Gnex, will it void the warranty?
Thanks!
You'll have to unlock the boot loader in order to flash so I'm assuming yes.

Let me make this clear (Hopefully),
In order to flash ANY ROMs, you have to either boot into or flash the custom recovery (Such as TWRP or Clockworkmod). In order to do that, you need to unlock your bootloader. If you unlock your bootloader, you will void your warranty. SO the answer is yes.
HOWEVER, If you EVER need to send it to Samsung, you just need to flash the stock ROM, radio, etc (If you ever need to go back to stock, Efrant has an amazing thread about it), and then just re-lock your bootloader. Then, you'll get your warranty back. Beauty of Nexus devices if you ask me.
OK I am glad that someone will explain it very well for people like me.

Swyped on my Galaxy Nexus running AOKP with Franco Kernel, overclocked to 1.4GHz
Hi, I am a noob, and I just bought a Galaxy Nexus (YAKJUXW), and just flashed it to Stock YAKJU so I can get OTA 4.1.1.
Can I flash it back to stock YAKJUXW, unrooted, just in case I have to claim warranty? Where can I get the stock firmware?
TIA
When you need to send it back, just lock the bootloader, they don't know that you changed to the yakju

Hey,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1361348
As posted I'm running this rom (above)
I accidentally downloaded the ota, and don't know what I should do. I've tried to do some readings, but nothing really makes sense to me. (my friend rooted and unlocked the bootloader for me)
What should I do?
