Yeah I have the budget. And I don't want to carry two cards.
I'm just asking between the 2. Which is probably better?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium

Phones don't have a noticible difference between class 6 and class 10, I would say grab the 64GB card, now if you are going to want to use it for a thumbstick/usb later, you may want to look at spending the $60 for a class 10.

I mean it's pretty much dependent on how much storage you truly want. If you really think you'll fill up well over 33gb + the 16/32gb you have on your device, then of course go for the 64gb.
Besides, if you can wait a few weeks, you can pick up this Class 10 for $60....
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007WTAJTO?ie=UTF8&ref=aw_bottom_links&force-full-site=1
(choose Amazon on the far right hand side).

Also I think it really depends on what you are using it for...if it is load it up one time with music and play away and store personal, non-professional shot pictures you will likely be fine with the Class 6. If you plan on lots of video go for the fastest thing you can get.
In my case it will be heavily used for MP3's when I get it...so I will likely go with the 64 class 6 unless I find a really good deal ($50 or less) in the next couple weeks.
I am likely gonna roll with my carryover 16 for a few weeks until I get fully transitioned into using this thing.

I don't think it'll get any lower than this until the end of the year if that. So take advantage if you can!
What's the difference between a class 10 and like a class 4 is it the transfer speed between your computer and the SD card? Is it really worth spending the extra money to get a class 10?

I got this card last time it was on sale. Fast transfer speeds and tons of space. I'd buy it now if I didn't already have it.

I had a 16gb class 4 and now have a 35gb class 10 and it's like night and day.. Forget about speeds in the computer.. You will notice it in the phone also.
With my sgs2 I would have to wait.. And wait for music to scan every time I would reboot.. With my class 10 it was almost instant!! And I added 6gb of music before I tried it.. So it had a lot more music to scan.

Class 10 will have a minimum write speed of 10 MB/s and class 4 is 4MB/s however cards like this will do read speeds of up to 95MB/s and likely get write speeds above its rating but the class speed is the slowest it will write at but may go faster.

Do you guys think the extra $50 of getting the 32gb?

I know the s3 has expendable memory... But not all the apps can be installed on the memory. Would you go with the 32gb for extra $50?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
I did not because 16gb of memory can be bought for 15$ and I use the Internet for most of the stuff I do on the phone. Not a big gamer but I can't imagine a game that would not fit on 16gb. You can move some apps to sd. It's up to you dog.

I'd go for it. That was my original intention, but I couldn't wait for T-Mob to get some in stock, and I refused to order it online. So I bought the 16 gig, will wait for updates to fix any issues and for JB, then I'll sell this one and defray the full cost of the 32gig. Might even be able to get it in black by then. Anyway, it's all in the future. I'm really happy right now.
And remember, its like a gun! Better to have the space and not need it than to need the space and not have it!

If you worry about your apps, (Which most of them are able to run from sd card) you can have them all in your phone and your photos/music/everything else in a 32GB sd card.

nah dont waste your 50$. I bought a 32Gb micro sd for like 15$ on amazon for all my media stuff (music, documents, video, etc). you have 11Gb for apps alone and no way you can fill that up (btw I dont install big games)
Not worth it, get a sd card that can then be used for future phones. Justification for me is that this phone will be drop in value when the S4 lte comes out and it doesn't matter if it is 16g or 32g the market will be flooded.

So you're basically telling him to avoid getting something he may want because when he goes to sell it, there will be a lot of them available?
If I was OP, I'd get the 32gb if he can get a deal on it. Even at the normal cost of the phone and a 64gb card, you have almost 100gb to store stuff. But then again, I use my 64gb card for the camera and video recording as well as internet radio recording and much more.

Not so much as telling him what to do but looking at it from another perspective like playing devils advocate.
The OP should also consider your perspective especially if warranted by his needs of memory usage
If you don't expect to get a SD card then the 32G phone would be a good choice. When you look at the maximum memory capabilities of the 32GB phone there is only a 16% reduction with the 16GB.
I got the phone subsidized 16GB for a total of $179 and when I asked CS what the cost difference of the 32GB would be and they said 80. If it was $30 I would have grabbed it but not $80. I think I made the right choice because by the time a newer phone comes around there may be a need because I expect to have a collection of music and videos by then for now I have almost squat.
If you have endless amount of apps then go with the 32gb. You can't at least not out of the box save apps to the sd card. For everything else the 16gb should be fine with expandable storage up to 64gb

Sandisk Micro sd (class 10) cards on sale starting at $19.99 at Best Buy...

Good price for a 64gb microsd card!! It says class 6 but you will get a class 10! And that has been confirmed in previous threads by others as well as myself and a Best Buy employee... Probably might have been posted already but for those that don't already have a good card this is the one to get.... Don't forget those rewards coupons if you have any or the many cash back sites out there... Has been found cheaper but this is still a good deal and most local stores will match this price as well.. Should automatically ring up that price if they have the 64gb in stock at your store... If they don't, then tell them about this deal and they will most likely match it... If they don't then talk to a manager... If you go in store you will see that they don't even carry the class 6 cards anymore... My friend works their and has confirmed this...

I purchased another on newegg from another buy for $39 and I was garbage...
this is how you know if its a good chip... I learned this years ago when they started to go up to 16gb.. especially buying from ebay..
fill up the card, max it out... try to read the information on it.. put movies and try to play it.. usually when you are getting almost all full, it will just crap out on you, and you will not be able to format or do anything... it get effed up..
