Very stupid question

So after having my new Tilt 2 for a couple of days I was cleaning out my inbox and I realized that because there is no d-pad I cannot select an e-mail without opening it, unless I have the keyboard out and use the arrows
This means that if I want to delete an e-mail that is not at the top of the list I need to press once to open, once to open menu and again to delete. Does not seem right.
I think I saw something that allowed the zoom slider to be used as a dpad of sorts but I actually like it the way it is.
I feel really stupid asking this and I did search but could not easily find an asnwer.

click on the small letter, you will see the menu that will allow use to manage the mail without seeing it.

Here's one hard-key solution that re-maps the volume keys on the side of the phone:

You can also press and hold the message in the list you wish to do something with and you will get the same list of actions as if you tapped on the small letter.

SPL doesn't match

trying to unlock my HTC 8925 and going into rom mode it shows:
KAIS1*O
SPL-1-56.000
CPLD-8
While running the step one its doesn't let me update rom. Also my rom is 1.57.00.000 but the kaiser rom show1.00.000. Can you please help me what the problem is

You seem to be lost...you have a Kaiser, not a Rhodium.
You should be posting in one of the Kaiser sub-forums.

Wow, I did not know either of these two tips, I had been opening the onscreen keypad and using the arrow keys to move down to the message. Thanks to both of you!

julian schapman has just released touchxplorer there are some limits
it seems to only work on htc devices. Non htc devices will have to wait a bit...
The device is only meant for chevron unlocked/developer unlocked devices that are HTC

maybe you should read the post before commenting...theres a link and a set of instructions.
Anyhow, already had it loaded on my phone since earlier. Been monitoring his site. It works as advertised. Can't wait till we get some more functionality =D

One wish I have:
In the folder "Windows", if I mark one file, open this and go back,
its a litle bit sad, that open after from the begining "Windows", and begin not at the last opening.
You have after to scroll a long way down, till you are at the last file you see.
But its only a detail. ;-)

I actually had this installed for the past week on my HD7 which is what I am typing this post on but just 10 minutes ago a message came up and stated that Touchxplorer has be revoked by Microsoft and it would not let me do anything TILL I uninstalled it. Anyone else getting this problem? Looks like I will have to reinstall it somehow.

Zune likes to relock the device which causes that error... you just need to unlock it again to get it working.... very fun game of unlocking all the time...

There's one bug: sometimes after backing to the previous folder the list displays each item twice. Except that, the app works perfectly.

Just got an error. This app has been revoked by m$hit please uninstall. Should i reinstall it and will it work?

You don't. Use Chevron WP7 Ringtone Installer.

Hi I also really tried but I can not find how to install this on my HD7
Can you or somebody please explain how ?

Did any one had success in copying files from WP7 to PC or the other way around?
I used the zune storage hack and copied some word documents on to the device, in the same folder I have put 2 ringtones I know work using ringtone installer from chevron, some photos and other files.
Sadly I can not find them anywhere on the device via Touchxplorer?
Any ideas?
The same the other way around. Found all the folders holding my music/videos (albait not with original file names) and tried copying other files in there including wp7 ringtones. I can see all items that were there when zune added them but none of the one's I copied.
Any solution?

Hidden WiFi? No problem there is an App for that.

HTC has relased an app in the marketplace called Hidden Wifi, it will allow you to add a name of a hidden SSID so that your WiFi will connect to it.
This worked perfectly on my HTC Arrive, some users report it doesn't work.

Yeah it was annoying the crap out of me as well, I have my home WiFi hidden. I was getting tired of unhidding it, then later hidding it again. I think the program allows you to name 3 hidden networks, but it works great for me.
Some others are reporting an error and they need to update software, thinking it may be an HTC only thing, so someone hopefully can do something similar for the other devices.

I want it on Omnia 7!

i hope htc is fully aware of this

Is there a way to download the app on an locked HD7 phone?
On marketplace I can't find the app, but under HTC hub the hidden Wifi show's up.
when i click on the icon the discription with the commands like in market place opens but the button to download/install isn't availabel.
I'm sure that all updates are installed on my phone and I also try to flash a NoDo rom by ansar to get also latest available Radio & Bootloader versions on my phone.
After installing the rom the latest updete to 7392 pop up and is installed.
But the download of Hiddn Wifi is not possible.

It's curiouse that the app is shown in HTC Hub, but it isn't possible to download it.

Its only available for download with certain HTC phones, that's why. Google search and you will find.

It use to show for the HTC HD7 but no longer there when I checked today. Pain as I need it now because works Wifi is hidden....

[Q] Problem: No market after flashing and installing cm7

Hey everyone, Had a quick search of the forum and cant find anything similar to what my problem is..
After flashing and installing cm7 I was suprised to see that I had no market/market had not installed.
I downloaded an android market app, however when I go to open it it says "You must add an account to the device to continue. Do you want to add one now?"
If I press yes, it goes no where and market closes.
However in settings I have had a look at adding an Account to the phone through Accounts/Sync..
When I do this, It asks for my email address and password which I enter..
After entering the details, It takes me to a "server settings" page which is already filled out for me, but when I press next, I get "setup could not finish, unable to open connection to server"
Can anybody please help me figure this out!? Would be much appreciated!

Well to me its obvious you DIDN'T as there's plenty of people had the same problem as you, myself included when I first jumped in with two feet and flashed cm7 without even reading what I was doing! Only difference is it took me about 30 seconds to figure out that I needed to flash Google apps and I don't believe for one second that you searched anywhere before posting this so I'll let you make up the time by finding out how to do that yourself.

Thanks shemulweb, That's exactly what I needed to do.
As for you scratch.. I have no problem with you "leaving me to do it" as I know exactly what to do now. Just because I couldn't find anything on it or typed in the wrong search keywords does not mean you have to come across stuck up. I'm not a noob, I don't need people to show me how to do things. I just missed a step in the process.

Sorry mate just p's me off answering the same questions repeatedly, especially when its been asked thousands of times in the cm7 thread and here.
A little tip I've learnt for searching is on Google type what you're looking for (obviously) and add xda and or wildfire if its something specific to this phone.

How do I get the button all the way to the right be the settings button again ? It's really screwing with me ! I think it's in system/usr/keylayouts but not sure, if somebody could tell me what & where to edit I would really appreciate it.

this is NOT a questions sub forum, questions go into Q&A....anyway if you use CM10 you can change it in settings > system > Hardware keys
otherwise no other way for the CM9 based roms

1.turn off your phone
2.in the meantime find a dry wing of a south american bat
3.now cook the wing for 20 minutes
4.put your phone over the steaming pot
5.repeat˝abra cadabra,abra cadabra...forces of nature rearange my soft keys as i command you!!!
6.reboot your phone and voila...
ALTERNATIVE TUTORIAL:
1.Sell your phone
2.buy a Galaxy Nexus
HOPE YOU DONT MIND THE JOKE,BUT THATS THE BEST I CAN FOR NOW...CHEERS

seriously.....because it's a stock rom...all stock roms have it fine, only the CM one's dont have it properly, we have tried to sort it, but we cant...so either like it or lump it...by the way the search box is your friend, use it, this topic has been brought up before
