No, but I use drop box for some stuff.

16 GB's is not enough for you ?
I use cloud services for most of my stuff (Google Drive, Spotify) and stuff like that.

Sync your music to Google Music and only save playlist that are going to use that day (I assume you don't have unlimited internet due to AT&T).

13-14GB, depending on ROM.
Course, I also have 30GB of Drive, 50GB of Dropbox, Google Music for my music, etc. Also, you can use adapters to plug USB drives into your phone for extra removable storage.
I have 50~ GB of music that I use to make rather varied playlists, and I'm wondering how I can get it to work with my GN in the car. It's important to note that I have AT&T and a very limited amount of data. Otherwise, I'd stream to my heart's desire.
I know that you can add storage with a USB drive and the proper adapter. I have a few questions regarding that. Primarily, 1) How long does it take for the media scanner process to catalog thousands of songs. Would I have to wait a while for it all to scan? And 2) If I make playlists in Google Music consisting of songs that are locally stored on my GN through Google Music offline storage AND songs that are on the recently connected external storage, will I be able to play all of the songs?
Thanks in advance.
That's what I'm staying I have at&t and I don't want to go over my data limits. I use my phone heavily throughout the day but I was just thinking if maybe hard drives can be swapped maybe put a 32gb from the lte into mine

Just like they did with the insurance premium increase.. They upped it a few dollars each month because they now can "disable your device if it's stolen." Thanks AT&T, but Android could already do this free of charge since the first droid.

That's exactly right. They want you to use the cloud for the data. Especially if you are on LTE.

This is nice, but I wouldn't use this when there are alternatives available that can be used no matter if you stick with AT&T or change providers.
Like I would never use my cable service's email address. Just a pain when you want to switch providers.
Make it 10gb for free, and then maybe there's a difference.

I started with a HTC Evo and loved the mass storage option since 99% of car stereos are iOS supported only. But the mass storage was a plus because I was able to still plug my evo in via usb on my stereo and see all my songs listed.
Upgraded to S3 and was a little actually a lot upset that mass storage is not supported. Sure I could blue tooth my s3 but don't want the hassle of looking down at my phone and searching through songs. I was speaking with my buddy at Best Buy and he said in 2013 car audio suppliers are going to roll out full Android supported stereos.
Just thought I would share in my frustration with no mass storage options.

I was as well rather disappointed that neither the stock HU in my Jeep nor the aftermarket HU in my work truck interfaced with my GS3. Luckily all of my music is on my iPhone, which works great with with of them. To be honset, that's the only reason I bought an iPhone.

Are you looking for a single din, don't prefer pioneer? I don't get it, yes it is one unit and there is an app in the market that mirrors the phone through the radio so you don't have to worry about mass storage for music since you can stream it or use whats on the phone.

I had the same issue on a Sony Xplode (something like that) car deck that was designed for Crapple via USB.
When I had my music on my SD card the deck would not read it via USB. I moved the files to my Internal storage and have been using it ever since. Can see artists, albums and song names.

ummm...here's the question you need to ask yourself (speaking to OP)....
are you a big media, music person? if not, then absolutely get it.
if you are, don't waste your time. there is not external storage (no micro sd) support on the nexus 4... huge fail IMO. i would have been all over that. just really didn't feel like using up all my storage by simply transferring all of my ***t to my new device. what is this an android/iPhone? i was confused by that feature being absent. i guess they can't give you EVERYTHING... but that is a big thing to exclude IMO.
fail.

yeah sure... cloud storage is great if you have a 42 MBs connection everywhere you go. you can't depend on your data connection 100% of the time. and how many people have unlimited data? if you don't have unlimited data plans, forget it. you gonna throw your entire hard drive of movies on your cloud? no thanks.
i see your point..But I can just do one movie delete then another and then delete why keep a bunch of movies on your device (unless you are going on a long trip or something)

nice to have the option.
and it becomes more of a real issue if you are somebody who has a vast music collection.... i would rather not pick and choose on a weekly basis what music and movies i have to keep or delete on my device. that's what micro SD cards are for.... they remove the requirement to even have to think about it. it's just there. all the time. at your fingertips. right when you want it.

I love my SGS3, but the Nexus 4 is tempting. The lack of SD card storage may be the deal breaker.
OK my opinion is this. I first got the g2x and went through about 5 of them because of screen issues and random reboots. Samsung Galaxy Galaxy S3, 0 returns. Solid phone works perfect, I can't complain. I remember my brother told me that LG makes awesome televisions and my response to him was then they should stick to that. Again this is my opinion it's all up to you. But after my experience with LG, I would not purchase another phone from them again. Good luck.

If you're talking about getting a s3 thru tmobile's deal with the mail in rebates, you might want to make sure that they don't require you keep the device until the mail in rebate is cleared and received.
Seriously it is ****, tried using it as people say you can have all your music on it instead of your phone. It converts everything to MP3 for one but half the time it fails which is so annoying, end up with lots of errors saying stuff couldn't transfer. Not only that but you can only select folders to upload, so I select the folders I want but not all the stuff uploads and I don't know why. So I delete all the music to start fresh and it wouldn't let me upload it again, doesn't even give a reason, I had to reinstall the program to be able to. The odd thing is though you cannot use your old play with the new install so you have to delete all on Google play and install the downloader it gives you and go through that whole process.
So I tried again with a folder of 159 mp3s, it says there is only 110 when there isn't and is only uploading 49 of them.......
Such **** like all of Googles software, like Stock Android is crap, I end up using third party programs to get better performance like Dolphin over Chrome. Also it's missing so many features I love from TouchWiz, I don't get why people hate TouchWiz so much, it has many more features than stock Android, features like well performing Samsung apps, the Samsung music player and Camera is much better, also it doesn't have on screen buttons taking up so much room, seriously the most retarded thing to keep them in apps when you keep hitting them.
Sell your phone and get a Windows Phone or iPhone.
Done.
Also, this thread will likely be locked, as it serves no real purpose. This isn't a rant forum.

He possibly doesn't. He just wants the increased internal storage (64GB, very probably) + the probable option of using SD cards for even more storage. Therefore, making cloud storage irrelevant to him.

The point was don't listen to people who say Google Play makes having 16gb internal Viable, Google Play is ****. All I want to do is drag and drop, why do they have to make it so hard and buggy? Windows Phone and IOS are worse, tried both and they suck even more, especially iTunes, I don't understand how that bloated poorly optimized bit of software can be so popular.

It's great if you don't mind low quality music. It's fine if you don't mind getting lowly transcoded mp3 in return from CD quality or lossless music. And it's all good if you live in the city and have buckets of data to burn through. Google is slowly prying freedom from your hands and many people are gladly giving it up. The direction Google is going with nexus, we should all sell our PC's and get chrome books. Or worse, apple products.
I voided my warranty.
Honestly the lack of an sd slot is stupid. I can't make an excuse for that. I think Google play music could be a viable alternative and what are you taking about quality? It plays music in whatever quality you uploaded it in which for me, lame alt preset standard, and lossless is overrated, your loosing audio your ear can't hear. And all of Googles music is encoded in 320k,the highest bit rate mp3 anyway.
The problem is it consumes too much data. I used it for a week when it came out and got a notice from at&t that I had used up 65% of my data plan.
As for an sd slot, people want it, Google should just give the people what they want. I pretty much decided I can live with the sacrifices but I'd prefer to have an sd, a removable battery, and lte

I'm being honest. Get real dude. There really is no reason to not have an sd slot. It's not going to drive up costs and it's not going to hurt anything. And personally until they make a battery with an unlimited charge count and a 100 year shelf life, it's stupid to build it in to anything, that isn't just the nexus 4, I'm talking everything. LTE? Well I can kinda understand that one, it's a can of worms right now Google doesn't want to deal with, too many different bands and licensing issues.
For me, the sacrifices are worth the pure Google experience, but I'd be lying if I tried to justify why this stuff isn't needed and pretend I don't want it.
I can live with the sacrifices, but I'd still prefer not to, but it's not worth dealing with a phone with a locked bootloader, a 100 rubbish apps that start with AT&T, a wifi hot spot option that tells me I need to call AT&T to activate, and eol status after one half assed update that came 6 months late and broke more things than it fixed.

That's all. It's [email protected]#king insane. And no apps2sd without rooting. More insane. Google and Samsung must realise that such a stupid decision will scare developers away. There must be more that 30 games on the Play Store that require 1gig now. Not only that either. Spotify do not allow you to save off line playlists to the sd card!
I filled my internal memory in 10 days!!
Look on the bright side. The Windows Surface 64gig only lets you use about 24! (don't quote me on that figure).
