Are you running a stock ROM or a custom? If you're running custom, which ROM?
The stock one still E29.

Oh, not sure on that, I don't know how much control you have over a stock ROM but since you're rooted there might be some apps in the market for volume control.. If you are intent on remaining with GB for awhile you might look into a few GB custom ROMs that might help the volume issue.
Check out Rujelus22's Blu Kuban for Gingerbread, also Calkulin's GB ROM and PhantomHacker's Blazer ROM which seems to be real popular with the GB crowd.
Thank you. I want to put cm9 on here as my first room to try. Think that might help?

It might but be sure and do your homework. Read both cm9 threads thoroughly. There's one here in the general forum and of course the one in the Developer's forum and always ask questions before you take any step you are unsure of.

I doubt many people here even know what it is, since this gs2 model has its own dedicated notification led.
I think it would make sense to ask for a higher frequency of blinking of that light, instead of BLN.
I understand some people may not know what it is but I can't ask in the development forums until I make 10 dumb post. Then I might get some more better and consistent replies but I just thought I'd give it a shot here..
But I can't seem to find a kernel supporting bln or a full real notification to change led's.
Hmmm..
Hi Everyone,
First I would like to say how much I love Frosty JB and that this thread is only to help make it better.
I would like to report some issues that I have seen and see if anyone else has had this as well.
1. I was getting random reboots saying invalid SIM
2. Screen would flicker when Hardware overlays was not disabled.
3. In ICS there was an option on the setting of call for configuring the Native SIP this has disappeared
4. Camera shutter not making the shutter sound anymore
Can't wait for the next release V4 of Frosty.:good::good:
If anyone else is having other issues I would like to hear about it.
THANKS AGAIN

I flashed my T999 using the following instructions from android authority I can't show the link but you can google it
Then installed Frosty using the following instructions using the android authority again
It's pretty straight forward. just google android authority T999 frosty jelly bean
Good luck

And now why you post here about stuff u were guided by android authority? +if you have issues with a rom you post on that roms thread if u really want ur issues to be solved. There is a fix for every single "issue" u mention but i guess android authority has not posted the guide yet

Alright. Best way to be helpful is pm the rom's dev about bugs you find.
Once you get your 10 posts you will get better support posting in the rom thread. Until then just do what you can like now.
Couple things you can try, redownload the rom and reflash. Make sure youve backed everything up and factory reset before flashing. This will give you a clean install and rule out any compatability issues with apps or data.
If you are still having sim problems use Odin to flash back to UVALH2 stock and if it still has issues you may need to exchange the sim or even the phone.
I dont think 1. has been a common issue so i doubt its the rom. The rest are likely related to it being a jb leak. Youll find out faster for sure by scanning through the last 10-15 pages in the thread.
Good luck with it!

1. Don't think that is a ROM issue (might be your hardware). But best bet is to to fully wipe everything and do a clean install them wipe cache dalvic and fix permissions reboot and wait 10 minutes then reboot again.
2. Flicker comes from the kernel (uvli6/uvli7) it has much better battery than uvli8 so we accept rare flickers. Easy fix by disabling hw overlays (video wont work while disabled though).
3. Idk but i think that is just how it is on jelly bean. Nothing to do with this ROM but literally all jelly bean roms.
4. This is a known issue with acid sound mod not the ROM. You can delete the acid sound mod find the apk with a file manager or titanium backup.
Gotta use the search option my man!

I just tried this and still no shutter. I had also deleted dsp manager because I wasn't getting any bass with my earphones on and I saw a post that said deleting dsp fixed it, and it did. Could that have something to do with it

Hello guys,
I have bought my galaxy nexus yesterday and it is working really great. But to my dismay,it has almost non-existant speaker volume.I don't know about my incoming messages and I miss all my calls because I cannot hear the phone ringing. This phone is running stock jelly bean 4.1.2
Now my question is probably already answered in this forum, but I get confused with so many solutions.I am willing to root, unlock and what not if someone can give me the correct instructions.I just want my phone to have audible speaker volume for sms, calls, movies and songs.
I would prefer that my phone remains as stock as possible so I can recieve the OTA updates too,so please avoid telling me solutions that involve custom roms.If custom rom is the only solution tell me how to have ota updates too.
Thanks in advance
without knowing how loud it is, it is possible there is something wrong with the speaker. you should verify that it is functioning properly before rooting it and playing with custom roms. Mine is currently stock and volume is great imo

Well I can't think of a way to accurately describe how loud it is,lets say I have the loudest ringtone that I play both on my neo v and nexus. It makes me jump when it rings on neo v.But on nexus its like a whisper,
About playing with custom roms,I specifically said in my original post, that I don't actually want custom rom solution.I wanna stay stock for ota updates

Hi.Last night I flashed over from PA 2.54 to King Kang 3.3. Everything works great except that my phone keypad is too large and the numbers kind of overlap. Also, on PA, I liked the tablet mode, but when I set the tablet mode on King Kang in PA settings, the status bar doesn't change to the bottom of the screen like it does on PA. is there something I'm not doing correctly? For hours, I tried adjusting different settings and can't get the same appearance as PA. Thanks for any help.

this isn't helpful, but I had the same thing, rocked it for about 12 hours and just delt with the problems, the dropped back to AOKP. you've already done way more work on it than I did.
sorry to be not-helpful, but I thought it was funny that we bot didn't like the same thing...
If you take a few seconds to read the third post of OP, I give clear instructions how to enable tablet mode.
Once you figure out how to do it, you won't use any other ROM!

Because if they had READ the OP for the Rom, it clearly states the steps needed to be taken to achieve tablet mode.
1/2 - 3/4ths of question posts could be eliminated (especially from the Rom Threads) if people would just read.

Sorry guys. I'm sorry I posted this originally; I didn't mean to cause an uproar. Sometimes steps can be missed, even if it is posted. Evidently multiple people including myself missed it, which is why I posted the question. I've flashed many Roms, and seen this same issue in every OP.
I know what happened buddy. It's not a problem, that's what the forums are for. He was just saying most problems people have questions for have the solution right on the op. People just neglect to read it and ask questions first. NO need to feel bad for asking questions though.
Always remember almost any issue youll come across, someone else has already seeked a solution for. The op almost always has the answer you need in it. Or search will find it if not.

Hi guys,
I'm new to posting on forums so I'll basically state the problems I'm having with the Liquidsmooth v2.2 rom. So I have tested my phone's data transfer with iPhone only and confirmed that I have been receiving my text only when I call someone else. I have also found that the incoming calls are getting blocked somehow. I've tried other roms as well and the same thing happens, so I'm not sure if it's even the Liquidsmooth rom itself. I'm not sure what's there to try, so if anyone has had experienced this before please let me know.
As of now, I'm running the Liquidsmooth v2.2 rom with the baseband L710VPBMB1. Let me know if there's any additional information needed.

ok first off, if it is happening with other roms, that rules out the liquid smooth rom itself as the problem.
question, did you have this problem on stock? like before rooting?
I'd back up flash a tw ROM or restore one and update profile and prl or re activate the phone by pressing ##72786# and letting the phone re activate after then restoring liquidsmooth and see how that goes

You're absolutely correct. I had to contact Sprint about the problem and they had told me that Sprint was doing some fixes around my area so that I had to wait until this morning. It's working fine now, I shouldn't have blamed the LiquidSmooth rom, my mistake. It was the first rom that I flashed on my new phone so I thought that might be the reason that the data to my phone got blocked. All in all, it was a temporary problem by the Sprint network around my local area.
The liquidsmooth rom's great -- very stable. Thanks everyone for your contribution.
